Funny Cowen is suicidal
So in sga episode Coup D'etat, weir threatens Cowen, the genii leader with war if he decides to kill any AG personnel and Cowen shrugs it off. Ok.. IS HE DUMB? He very well knows that the Tau'ri are basically a multi galactic empire at this point with literal hundreds of worlds under SGC protection. (They dont have as much pull in atlantis, but still) not only that, but they have not only the Daedalus. BUT THE ENTIRE JAFFA STARFLEET at their disposal by this point, as well as tons of hyper advanced military technology. Not only that but the Tau'ri scientists are smart enough to EXPLODE SUNS. Sam literally explains how relatively easy it is to destabilize a sun to the point where it begins to meltdown like chernobyl.
The genii, on the other hand are a former galactic empire that has regressed to the 1940's in terms of technology. Not only would they not stand a chance against the tauri, but they wouldn't stand a chance against the atlantis expedition alone. Cowen has to either have some massive balls, or he's just stupid.
