Cheers.
Edit: If it worked, please say so in the comments.

Free offer available to celebrate this year’s BlizzCon: StarCraft® II 15-Day Co-op XP Boost.

Whenever i play vs terrans, the ghosts make my game very difficult. They are so hard to spot and then kill and i just lose bases and my workers. I build turrets all around my base and bunkers only help somewhat.
r/starcraft2coop • u/ackmondual • 20h ago
For me starting off, I used to play on since it was a way to try out new COs without having to purchase them (let alone at higher levels, beyond the "free to play" lv5, and even into mastery). Later on, try prestiges you haven't leveled up to.
Nowadays, "it depends"......
If it's something I think I can do or will be fun (despite losing), I'll soldier on. For examples, some neat combinations have included...
--Karax + Kerrigan - where I still retain all top bar abilities of Karax, lose 0 of hers since she never had any, but I still get to make mass Hydras to round out my army
--Karax + any CO who can make basic combat unit that does both anti-ground and AA really
--Nova or Vorazun as an ally since I get gas buildings without needing workers set to harvest them
--Stukov P3 ally since that doesn't require any APM
... also digging that I can freely pause and unpause games. Last but not least, I had some allies that were just plain terrible. They kept complaining/whining/bitching, or they weren't really doing anything (I suspect they were afk much of the time anyways).
.
OTOH, I'll just leave if I needed to leave anyways or welcome the game ending sooner, need a win that I can't do on my own (like Mutation bounty for tough weeks, or for the "first win of the day" bonus), or "just want to call it a night".

I gotta be honest, I rarely use Carrier-like ships in Coop, since their damage output isnt as flashy as the other damage options. But I wondered: Since Talsndars other units have buffed stats and more abilities, does this apply to his Carriers as well?
And if yes: How do I insert them into my build?
I usually play P1 and P3 Talandar/Fenix.

Everytime I play Swann somehow Goliath spam with a few Thors just end up being impractical and I just eventually default back to Wraiths deathball

Mutation #535: Assembly of Vengeance / Map: Temple of the Past
Mutators: Avenger, Heroes from the Storm
Avenger
Enemy units gain increased attack speed, movement speed, armor, life, and life-regeneration when nearby enemy units die.
Each stack grants +10% attack speed, movement speed, life and shields, 0.3 armor, 1 health and shield regeneration.
The maximum number of stacks is 10.
When a unit is killed, the number of stacks given equals to the supply cost of the killed unit.
The maximum effective distance, over which units can gain stacks, is 1.25 edge-edge (not center-center).
Mind-controlled/reclaimed units lose their avenger buff.
Heroes from the Storm
Every attack wave will be led by Heroes of increasing power.
Heroes are sent with most attack waves.
Later waves can be accompanied by more heroes. One hero is randomly chosen from the first three heroes, the second from the second triplet and the last from the last triplet, and so on.
On Temple of the Past, side attacks can have 1 hero at most. Back air ramp won't spawn heroes, main ramp can have up to 6 heroes (global maximum).
On Mist Opportunities, harass waves can have 1 hero at most.
On Miner Evacuation and Scythe of Amon they typically do not spawn at all.
There is a hero pool from which heroes spawn (integer variable). Each hero cost 1 to spawn, and won't spawn if the pool is empty (0).
The pool starts at value of 1, and is increased periodically.
(This is very similar to how I implemented it in my The Usual Suspects mutator)

Spawn-camping no longer prevents heroes from spawning.
All heroes have at least biological and heroic attributes. Dehaka is the only hero that doesn't have "map boss" attribute, and so the real Dehaka can Devour him.
Heroes (apart from Dehaka) can't be put into stasis by Fenix's Arbiter or Zeratul's Stasis Beam. Vorazun's Stasis Ward works on all of them.
Nova's Nuke and Kerrigan's Apocalypse are used only on hard and brutal difficulties.
All heroes are detectors.

#165 - Assembly of Vengeance: ?/18 SOLO CLEAR
I don't like this mutation, so I didn't try to clear it with anyone new this time around.
https://youtu.be/SI9cfQ7jOPk (TLDR tier list)
https://youtu.be/fwBOlb-MzWk (Easy solo - Stetmann p2)
Take out enemy waves before they meet up with the heroes, if possible.
Zagara is deadly, since the summoned roaches give avenger.
Stall the last waves with buildings
Questions about any of these runs are welcome. Runs will be uploaded throughout the week. All members get early access to videos.

news to me (and my ally)
r/starcraft2coop • u/ackmondual • 4d ago
We may have some folks who are still relatively new. And even though many of us are multi-year veterans at this point, I'm wondering if folks still remember trying out COs for the first time, and what your thoughts and experiences were? Mention a timeframe (like a year, or some point of reference like when Coop first came out, all COs already dropped, or when Vorazun got nerfed).
Feel free to add additional memories of discovering various prestiges as well!

THAT'S THE THING ABOUT THE DOMINION. EVEN IN A CRISIS, OUR RULE OF LAW HOLDS FIRM.

I’ve been thinking of which commander actually talk to each other in missions.
So far I only really noticed Mengsk commenting on Raynor when he calls the Hyperion. Are there any other?
Also honorable mention. Commander that change missions but I am pretty sure it’s just Alarak and Stettmann.
r/starcraft2coop • u/DelienShadowsong • 8d ago
Sadly Brutal+1 doesn't have certain fun mutators like Heroes from the storm and others, feel like with how strong commanders became with prestiges, even +2,3 would be completely fine and fun challenge in random queue
r/starcraft2coop • u/brandon975 • 8d ago
It could be for its usefulness or thematic reasons.
In my case, I'd like Raynor to be able to use Emperor's Shadows. Emp Blast would be useful, he'd still have plenty of gas left in the late game anyway
I have no idea why I never see Mengsk players using it

The guy disconnected at the end so i didn't want to wait 50 seconds, but i saw the main objective was completed so i Quit and got a Loss? Pretty unexpected behavior.

Mutation #534: Burning Evacuation / Map: Miner Evacuation
Mutators: Avenger, Scorched Earth, Eminent Domain
Eminent Domain
Enemies gain control of your structures after destroying them.
Destroyed structures have their life and shields fully restored.
Units in bunkers are captured as well.
Nydus Worms or Uprooted Infested Bunkers can't be stolen.
Stetellites won't be stolen, but they will be permanently destroyed on their second death.
Tesseract Projections will get stolen, but they have timed life. Original Tesseract Cannons/Monoliths are unaffected.
Flying terran structures will get stolen, but AI won't land them.
Stolen structures will try to produce units (random campaign units).
Structures won't be stolen if the they are killed by player units. But letting your structures to burn down is still a way to create walls.
A structure won't be stolen if it would block Amon from accessing player spawn location.
Enemy will take over Nova's Spider Mines if they are killed when burrowed. However, enemy can't take over Raynor's Spider Mines.
Scorched Earth
Enemy units set the terrain on fire upon death.
Structures don't leave fire.
Units with supply cost [0,1] leave small fire, with (1,4] medium fire, and units with (4,∞) and hybrids leave large fire upon death.
Fires do 14dps to ground units and structures.
Small fire lasts 15s with 0.25 radius, Medium fire lasts 30s with 0.5 radius, and Large fire lasts 60s with 1.5 radius.

Use structures to wall off the ships. Even if Amon takes the buildings over, they will body block the remaining units from surrounding the ship.

Found the best place for putting abducted ships! Previously I was putting them up north, but terrain leaves some vision issues like very extended vision, so sometimes it's hard to abduct ships there. Also this is far from where most ships originally are!
r/starcraft2coop • u/Organic_Community877 • 10d ago
With all tactics and things on the table, I found "Together Forever" a much harder map. "Scythe of Amon" is just too cheeseable and overall very straightforward, in my opinion. Yeah, you might skip the bonus, but without it, people often said it was much easier, and I saw a lot more clears on this one.

I was wondering how my Abathur ally had a Scourge Nest.
r/starcraft2coop • u/neca980 • 11d ago
I am speechless, It has happened to me again!! Long time ago, I had a game with random person where we both played as Artanis (here is link to that post) and now, after countless more games, my random ally and I both got to play as Dehaka!
My ally and I both played P3 so there is one picture where you can see 4 Dehakas (2 Dehakas and 2 Zweihakas, technically) on the screen. Also, at the end, there is a picture with 2 Glevigs when we smashed the last base. 😎
I know this can happen sometimes but it is super rare. Another funny thing, at the end, on that... recap screen, instead of Dehaka, I got picture of... Karax!?
