Got a good firm grip on this now. Was a little small in the hand making it hard to handle snappy recoil.

Might be sold lol

I bought a Saint recently and it doesn’t have the QD on it. I called SA repair and they don’t have a part number to sell for that. Anyone know where to get the Saint QD attachment on the rail near the housing?

I am a big fan of the Gideon Mini Valor. It's the perfect size IMHO and enclosed.

Well, it's that time of year again where the in-laws and missus start asking me what I want for Christmas and completely ignore the moderate ticket items I wasn't able to buy myself.
So this year I'm running an experiment and simply sending them a list with no wiggle room 🤣
I started to EDC my HCP late last year and after 500 rnds the M&P 45 is officially retired so now its mod time!!
The caveat is that the cheaper the better but obviously holding up to EDC standards cause the other half is a fairly large family. Already running an Osight SE that I was supposed to get last Christmas (loving it so far) and no FRT because Florida.
What y'all got for me?!

I have a Canik Rival, and my carry currently is a Canik MC9. I saw so many videos about 2011s, and way back when, my late father had a 1911. So I figured why not grab one over the weekend. I will be at the range Saturday to try this out.

I’m looking to make some improvements to my XD45 4”service model.
I’ve scoured this sub and the internet and I’m not finding much. There are magazine extensions, one or two triggers, a few other components.
Died anyone know where to find threaded barrels? Magwells?
Does anyone know which later models might have interchangeable parts? (XD Elite?)
Thank you.

2000 rounds this past weekend. As expected, she runs. And quite well. I’m actually a bit surprised at how well I’ve adjusted to the smaller grip on the compact. There’s still a good deal of work to be done before I carry. Presentation is still not there yet. Needing to increase the texture a bit. Not sure how to accomplish that just yet. Most stippling jobs I’ve felt are too aggressive to be right next to my skin. I’m able to still get a good purchase and not lose too much traction under longer strings of fire.
I considered, initial, changing the trigger shoe. One of the few changes I’d consider making to a carry gun. After this weekend, I’ve decided the OEM trigger is just fine. One of the better stock triggers. Obviously not Walther like but, I don’t need felt or audible reset when shooting anyway. It’s clean and predictable. That matters most to me. The tiny bit of creep is only noticeable when slow dry fire is used to observe it. The initial take up is short enough it doesn’t throw me off with rapid fire.
The coup de gras. This optic is spectacular. It is everything the ACRO wishes it could have been. Superior in every way. There’s no obtrusive housing, battery cover, button or anything else. Clean, clear glass that’s easy to stay target focused with. It’s as bright as I could ever need. My astigmatism has been a pain to work around, as I’m sure many of you know. This does have an obvious starburst to it but, there a very noticeable dot in the middle. This is the first time I’ve ever seen only one dot in an optic. Styling is quite eye catching and seems made for this gun. Big bonus for having no concerns about utilizing the optic to rack the slide. That’s weird to feel. No concerns when I do it, no matter how hard I pop it.
I’ve ordered my Streamlight TLR-7 HL-X, QVO Tactical IWB, and the Apex black stainless steel guide rod. Then I’ll be able to get on with the holster training. In the mean time, snagged another 2500 rounds of the Blazer 124 gr. She loves the Federal HST 124gr JHPs as much as I do. Will be close to 5000 rounds by Monday. Leaves me plenty of days to work on index, presentation, trigger control and grip. Lots of work to be done.

Came across a comped Echelon today with a Holosun 407c, a free holster, and 5 mags for $715 that I could not pass up

Here’s an older pic of my Springfield family. Sold the Garrison and Emissary. The other three will never leave me. Still can’t decide between upgrading the Echelon (grip module, maybe some other things) or adding another gun to the collection.

Ever since I got my Hellcat Pro back from Springfield after warranty work (they Cerakoted the slide), it’s been a completely different gun.
Racking the slide with a full 10-round magazine is insanely difficult, and seating a full magazine with the slide forward takes a serious slam. Before sending it in, I don’t remember it being anywhere near this bad.
I decided to do a little test. I put a Sharpie mark on the top of a round, chambered it, then disassembled the pistol. I found Sharpie residue on the striker sleeve, and it looked like some of the ink had been scraped off the top of the bullet.
I also chambered a live round (without firing it), removed it, and noticed a pretty noticeable gouge on the top of the bullet that seems to line up with the striker sleeve area.
Striker sleeve looks crooked, not sure if thats normal.
Has anyone seen something like this before? Is it normal for the striker sleeve to contact the top round, or could something have been installed or positioned incorrectly during reassembly?

Is this normal in anyway?

$165 out the door? How do you say no? I’ve actually been looking for an XDE for a little while, basically because it’s one of the only DA/SA handguns I don’t own and haven’t tried. I can’t wait to shoot it.
