Why is Titus in the name of The Emperor LEAVING A TORMENTED DUDE TO HANG IN A MACHINE!?!?!? I am in complete disbelief, when will I die in battle save kids or the ones that scare us the most, woman?

A bit major on the cosmetic side but this image was genuinely too perfect not to apply to my earlier post.

I think we won’t ever get these guys as a playable class but it would be cool if we could, I did have a neat class ability idea where you cast a small ring around yourself that increases damage for both you and any teammates within the ring of doom called “Aggressive Foothold”
I hope in the future I’m proved wrong but I really doubt we’ll get these bad bois

For people who dont know, there is an unreleased Storm Bolter in the game files just eating dust because of lore issues (prob scrapped Rerminators).
You can access this however using Astartes Overhaul mod and it feels super bad ars.
... but what if Saber upgraded it to an Assault Bolter?
It would be so fitting for the heavy class, who btw is going to be weapon starved soon (his perks are a bit boring and only way to switch him a bit up is through weapons).
Please Saber give my Heavy boy a Assault Bolter!

I was doing an absolute solo run on decapitation and noticed a severe lack of ranged enemies! This game is too melee-focused. When they add Absolute+, I hope they get rid of those pesky melee guys and give us a real challenge!

Hi ASTARTEEES!
First time ever posting anywhere in reddit. I just can't help but want to express that this game and community have been a blast! After I picked it up a few months ago, I couldn't stop playing it when I have time.
I'm no Sigismund as I only have 470 hours game time and I still die from the stupidest things from time to time, but I just want to say it has been a rollercoaster ride from learning the game, playing solo in minimal to ruthless, grinding prestige and weapon level in lethal and eventually grinding capes, halo and toothpicks in absolute. I haven't had this much of a good time in a game in years. Every class brings a new taste in the gameplay. It feels new every time.
Thank you to the community, especially the veterans who keep sharing their insights and strategies! And of course, cheers to all the people I played with since I mostly solo queue.
The emperor protects! (but not from in-game bugs)

As in the class that your team mates are, not what you yourself are taking.
*edit* asking as I have seen hate on vanguard and was wondering if that was a universal feeling
*edit2* COMMENT SUMMARY for those who are curious and don't want to read through 105 comments (at time of edit). Seems like @ No1 - vanguard for execution stealing. No2 - sniper for being too good and nabbing headshots. No3 - bulwark for not using abilities correctly. No4 - tactical also for not using abilities well, and for taking bad team perks.

The current Weekly Hard Stratagem stacks Posthumous Proliferation (slain enemies spawn spores) with Mine Field (Spore Mines spawn periodically and fly at you) on top of the spores that already come with regular waves, plus everything Biovores lob across the map.
The whole mission is a sea of spores. So I published a full writeup on Spore Mines on my wiki which covers:
- Which melee attacks are safe vs dangerous for each weapon
- Which perks trigger damage that is safe vs dangerous
- Spore enemy behavior
- Spore chain detonation logic
The page also includes the interactive hitbox viewer, in case you were unsure where to aim on the spore mine!!!! Multiple angles shown!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TLDR;
- Heavy Attacks (charged/held attacks) and Sprint attacks are generally safe, most light attacks are not.
- All melee attacks on the heavy class are safe.
- On Power Sword, light attacks in power stance are safe, light attacks in speed stance are not.
- Be careful which perks you have selected, they can trigger add-on damage that will make an otherwise safe attack unsafe.
- Safe attacks can still cause spores to deal damage to your teammates, so be careful!
Brothers! I know many have suffered and will suffer in the spores of this week's Stratagems (Hard and Normal alike really), so I am here to share a few handy tips having beaten it after two frustrating failures:
Go ranged if you can and stay away from slain enemies. The spores spawn 1 second after the tyranid dies (100% on Majoris and above, 50/50 on minoris - correct me if I am wrong) and destroying them at melee range will incur damage to you nonetheless.
Pick the Flamer for primary or the Neo-Volkite for secondary, they are both excellent choices to clear large groups of spores and pods. I for one despise the Flamer and therefore went with the Neo-Volkite side arm since it could also destroy spores from miles away.
Techmarine works really well here. The reasons are multi-fold: he can use the Neo-Volkite, turret/servo gun hard counters spores and he is the only class who can deal with spores while targeting your sidearm at the hierophant (to some extent Bulwark as well but he is melee heavy).
Always look over your shoulders and pay attention sound cues. The spore mines spawn periodically and they can come out of the most abominable places. So look behind you every now and then to spot those approaching mines early on. If your character reminds you of the mines with a voice line, look for them!
The single most dangerous phase is the spiral staircase and warehouse drop before you go out in the open and see the hierophant up-close, be well prepared (plenty of grenades and abilities off cool down). You are naturally short of space and with spores and pods it becomes even harder. Again, this is why you want either a Flamer or Neo-Volkite to clear not only spores but pods as well.
Cover whoever has linked their sidearm with the las cannon targeting system. They are already vulnerable, and it much worse when you cannot fend off spores with melee at all.
I will edit and add tips from the comment section as they appear, please feel free to share yours. In the meantime, happy hunting brothers!
Taking out extremis in close range melee as sniper is so damn satisfying when their limbs don’t block their skulls I want to obliterate
