Am I doing it right...
I've had this haha for a couple of years and never managed to get into it. I found the controls and interface difficult to get to grips with. Anyway, I recently watched a couple of YouTube videos and it peaked my interest again, as I love KSP, NMS, Minecraft, survival games etc.
But I wonder if I'm doing it right. I've started a survival game on the earth like world. My first three hours have gone as follows.
Drove to a gps location of a trader station. It was up a mountain and I rolled onto my roof. Took a while, but I managed to dig out underneath and get it upright again. Carried on by foot and got to the traders. Scrambled back down to my vehicle, tripped and died! Respawned in a different part of the planet. Does my old corpse and vehicle remain where they were?
So, new spawn. Drove around a bit and thought I'd have a go at building. Took me about an hour to dig some resources and start attempting to build. I've got a far as laying the frame work for one floor panel, but it turns out I need around 500 metal sheets to build it. Saved it there to walk dog, water garden, etc etc.
I think I'll end up loving this game, and certainly need to watch some more YouTube videos, but just looking for a few pointers really. It seems to take forever to collect stone to process as your inventory is so small. Are you able to increase this as you progress? Also, I'm assuming further along there will be more large scale mining rigs and automation?
Thanks in advance
