Discussion Just finished man of steel...
Yeah I really liked it. It has flaws mainly the plot. It didn't really dig it and has some pacing issues in the 3rd act. The pa Kent stuff is half great half bad. I also didn't like Lois here
But for the positives...it fucks. No way to describe it one the best looking movies I've seen. The score is perfect. It feels like you are there and super has launched in the air. Cavil is pretty good zod actor is amazing and so russle crow. And the first 20 minutes. Chef's kiss right there
I really like this film. I'm goingngive a really solid 8/10
If we compare it to superman 25 I think it's a more enjoyable film despite lacking where 25 thrives.
Great film. Im very curious about bvs tho....

Discussion Man of steel is the greatest Superman movie oat
I know this is controversial but at the very least it is better than the recent Superman. I’m surprised this is a controversial take because it is the most realistic take on Superman and I know people want Superman to be saving squirrels like the recent Superman but that’s not the what would happen in real life. I personally love the movie so much because it shows loss and destruction and the result of saving the world but destroying a city. So if you disagree lmk why and I’ll tell you why I disagree.

Discussion Watching man of steel for the first time tonight.
I have watched gunns super man and while I liked ot fine it was overrated as fuck(some mfs giving it a 10🤦♂️).
And I always wanted to check Snyder films a shot. I loved 300(while very inaccurate to my culture).
Hope it lives up to the hype.

Discussion Snyderverse Box Office success
- Man of Steel (2013): Grossed $670.1 million worldwide on a $225 million production budget. Estimates indicate the film turned roughly $45 million in net profit.
- Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016): Grossed $874.3 million globally on a $263 million budget. Despite the massive revenue, steep marketing costs and mixed critical reception limited the estimated net profit to approximately $105 million.
- Wonder Woman (2017): $821.8 million global gross on a $149 million budget, Net Profit: $252.9 million
- Aquaman (2018): $1.148 billion global gross on a $160 million budget, Net Profit: $260.5 million
- Suicide Squad (2016): $746.8 million global gross on a $175 million budget, Net Profit: $158.45 million
I feel like the Snyderverse got a lot of undeserved criticism because it it had to compete with an already developed and well structured MCU....but its way better than the shit we're getting with the Gunnverse-and its only gonna get worse than what we've seen so far. There's no plan or even a general sense of direction in the DCU currently. And if you prefer the Snyderverse over Gunn's vision (or a lack thereof) you're labeled an uncultured idiot by all these GOTG/Marvel fans that came over to DC when Gunn took over. Make it make sense.
And just a PSA: I love Marvel AND DC. Snyder's more serious tone with a sense of realism was always such a great change up and alternative to the MCU. Its not that you have to hate one or the other, they beautifully balanced each other out. Now everything's fucked up.

Discussion am i the only one who thinks that a batman movie with lex and deathstroke would’ve been cool?
Haven’t seen this get brought up that much, in the epilogue for justice league there’s these scenes with deathstroke and lex luthor. and i wish we got a movie with this plot as i think it would’ve been cool.

Discussion I can’t believe Warner Bros cut out Darkseid from the theatrical cut, Warner bro’s really don’t know what they’re doing, they’re supposed to just let Snyder and their other filmmakers make their movies in peace #ReleasetheAyercut #Restorethesnyderverse #Makethebatfleckmovie #maketheLetoJokermovie

Discussion Currently 2 hours into the Snyder Cut and realizing Gunn’s DCU is never touching this
So I’m rewatching the 4-hour behemoth that is Zack Snyder's Justice League, and man, it really hits different now. We actually traded mythic, operatic gods for whatever quirky, neon-colored dance-off James Gunn is cooking up next. Truly a masterclass in downgrading.
Look, I know Snyder isn't everyone's cup of tea. The constant slow-mo and aggressive sepia filters are a lot. But at least the guy treated these characters like literal legends. The Snyder Cut actually gives Cyborg and Flash actual emotional weight instead of just turning them into walking punchlines.
Now we're heading into an era where every single superhero has to be a lovable, sarcastic underdog who talks to weasels. Because nothing says "epic cinematic universe" quite like sacrificing genuine scale for a playlist of 80s dad rock and meta-humor.
I’m sure the comments will be perfectly civil, but let’s hear it.

Discussion I can't help but notice Knightmare Superman having a similar concept to Awakened Zero
Also, if a ZSJL 2-3 were to ever occur, would Superman be wearing the traditional blue suit or the all black suit during the Knightmare segments?

Discussion How Would YOU Go About Restoring the SnyderVerse?
Since I'm new to the sub, I want to know how any of you would go about bringing back the SnyderVerse if Paramount (or whatever company gets WBD) decides "y'know what, let's bring back the DCEU with Zack Snyder as our lead-director."

Discussion From being the unwanted orphan to streaming on Netflix. Is WB looking to reboot / carry forward the Snydeverse.
I was watching the JL - Snydercut on Netflix and it stuck me that from being an unwanted orphan it is now streaming on OTT. And the promise of a Marvel - Avenger like cinematic universe is still present with the premonitions and the presence of Martian Manhunter.
Makes me wonder why would WB do this? What are the chances that given the turd the current DCU stuff is, WB may actually look to reboot / continue the Snyderverse.
