My buddy was a san Diego Marine. He said they couldn't even look in the direction of the female trainees without getting yelled at. But that was like 20 years ago, maybe times have changed.
Yeh, we east coast Marines like to jab at the Hollywood Marines.. But yes we were told not to look at them and to imagine a bulldog eating mayonnaise! Sorry not PC but has stuck with me ;)
Man, we couldn't even acknowledge FM's existing on PI back in '88. Wasn't until I got to Camp LeJeune for PFR School that I actually saw one up-close.... 🤣
Back in '94 at PI, we saw them at Nav/maps, so week 11 or 12 I think? Never saw them at MCT for the 4 weeks at LeJeune/Gieger. Can confirm, though- there was ZERO interaction with the WMs during boot, on punishment of pushing sand and Hello Dollies for half an hour.
lmao this concept is so strange to me as a lesbian, being told not to converse with opposite sex, like what are my titties gonna pop out an start slappin the shit out of all the dudes? we’re all just citizens of earth
I'm guessing they were talking about the first three months of their initial training. It's extremely regimented and segregated. Not only by gender, but by group as well. Basically outside of my small group of sixty, we weren't allowed to talk to anyone else, no time to anyway.
Your time after that is completely different. A year later, I was holding a machinegun for my boss while she peed into a gatorade bottle in the dark dark night.
