My gunsmith told me that using silencer shop was my best bet for my first time filling out a form 1 for an sbr. He helped walk me through the details. The forms and the appropriate photographs.

After a few days I get an email that my application has been reviewed and is ready to certify.

I look at the email and see that they have changed the manufacturer to PSA. My firearm is certainly not that. It’s a self manufactured ak47 made from a blank receiver and the manufacturer is clearly marked as myself.

I’ve tried calling them and have spent a combined 45 min on hold and selected the call back option twice.

Why do people like this?

First time buying any sort of NFA item. I used SS kiosk the other day at my local gun store and now saw this today on SS App. Is this common? It says no action required from me but I can't help but think i did something wrong.

Roughly how long does it take for SS to ship a can to a dealer? I'm in Maryland if that matters.

I made the mistake of having the dealer order a can for me on June 21, rather than ordering directly from SS. The can was in stock at the time and still says in stock now. I paid on the spot. It's been a month and they say they're waiting on the can to get there.

I only have their email address, and I do not have the SS order number. I've been trying to get that from my dealer, but they haven't responded yet.

Hello! This is my first time purchasing a supressor, I was wondering if this step requires me to reach out to my dealer. I’ve been on this step for about 3 days now and no change.

I ordered some pistons for my SilencerCo Osprey from Silencer Shop and one of my pistons got packaged wrong. I’ve been emailing SS support but not getting any answers. Bummer for such a easy fix on their part.

I waited about 35 days after submission of eform4 for a suppressor to only be rejected due to my fingerprint cards not being attached by the SS system.

I only purchased about 7-8 NFA items and have used SS for each of them and never had an issue until this submission.

I called cust. service he told me to send an email to [email protected], which I did about 8-9 days ago. Hiram replied back saying it will forward my request to have them look into my submission.

I’ve sent a few more emails but never heard back.

I get it, I’m sure theres a queue for these issues, but what is a realistic time frame to get my issue resolved?

I regret not saying something sooner, I had a feeling I was going to get rejected when I saw my submission email from the ATF was missing its reference number, but I’m just not familiar with how things work with the process.

Any suggestions are welcomed. I called my dealer today just to see if they may be able to do something, but they haven’t called me back with an update.

I just bought my first suppressor and the only thing left before the order and process are my fingerprints. I’ve already done them in the past and have the eft file, but I can’t figure out where/how to upload them.

The SOT I chose currently has something going on with their full auto account, there seems to be no urgency from either party to fix it. Call your selected SOT and verify they are regularly doing transfers before you purchase.

They've had my can for 2 weeks now and I can't submit my form 4, or have it transfered elsewhere. $1000 dollars and I'm sitting here with my hands under my ass, when my other can from a different shop was done and in my car in 48 hours.

Edit: Ill call them one more time and sit on hold for 30 minutes, this is the fourth time I have had to resign my eform and it still stuck in the processing part. I guess if theyre going to charge me a restocking fee for an item I want but have no means of getting Ill just do a charge back and be done with it. Shame, was looking forward to this can.

First time ordering online and through SilencerCo, so apologies for the newbie question. Order was placed on 7/2 and screenshot shows my status as of this morning. When I went to my dealer’s kiosk the guy working the desk told me they had the same suppressor in stock and it “would’ve been way faster if I ordered direct” through him, which kinda worried me on the timing.. Any thoughts on when it’ll be ready to pick up?

Does anyone know how long it takes for silencershop to efile your forms with the new automated system? I entered in my eforms account information on the site and docusigned my signatures 2 days ago for a new silencer, but I haven't received any notice on the submission yet from the atf eforms site.

Genuinely fuck these clowns, charge 50 dollars for a form 1 service that purports to check it for accuracy then when an app fails they refuse to do anything about it or even answer the fucking phone or respond to emails. Been after these morons for about a month now.

My FFL is doing a conversion to their full auto software. I've had a few cans in the "ready to certify" stage for almost a month.

They told me it's a Silencer Shop issue. I've tried contacting SS on multiple occasions and haven't gotten a clear answer on what's wrong.

It'd be nice to certify the old way... there was never an issue with that for me in the past...

Has anyone else had this issue?

EDIT: This morning it moved to submitted. I’m not sure if this is natural progression, or if it’s because the AI bot e-mailed me again and I said I’d like someone to actually review my order and it said it would do that, but it happened.

I’ve gotten a couple of cans from Silencer Shop dealers before, but I’m working on my first can that was shipped vs just purchased from a dealer with stock available. I don’t believe that is the issue, but I’m putting that detail in just because. The can has made it to the dealer based on tracking, they called me and it’s checked in, I see it in the dashboard, and have done my part of the signing (individual form 4, no trust). They moved from DocuSign over to Docuseal it seems, but I completed my signature and have seen/had those forms emailed to me.

Now, it has been in review for a few days now but the status on the page reads differently than I remember. It says something about waiting for other signatures before they can continue, not that they are reviewing my documents for completeness. There should be no further signatures, nobody else to sign other than the dealer to certify and submit to ATF. I e-mailed and got the AI bot responses that try to make you feel better that I’m right to have concern but it’s a “mismatch” of the status. Anyone else see this ”mismatch“ before where it’s in review but pending signatures that don’t exist?

Secondary question - any current time experiences on a Form 4 individual Silencer Shop review? I asked the AI Bot specifically and it said that “We don't have published statistics for that internal review step.” which seems like a way of saying they may take longer than the ATF at this point.

Been wanting an OCL titanium for my .22s but not sure if I should wait for an email blast(if that’s what they do) or if those happen pretty rarely and just go for instead…what do yall think?

I've bought a suppressor through gunbroker that made it to my silencershop dealer. However silencershop isn't starting the form 4 as BP firearms is listed as the manufacturer for the suppressor instead of dead air. At this point it's been a month of my dealer and I both reaching out to silencershop and getting the run around about it being "with compliance" or whatever else. Right now as it stands i have a completed form 3 just waiting on the F4 to me to be started. Where do I go from here?
