Po and his vitiligo journey

I wanted to share some pics of Po and his beautiful coloring. He started out with traditional seal point coloring which started changing when he was about 4 months. It started with his pads and nose, but eventually got his lips and eyes. He’s now a year old and the progression has definitely slowed. He’s has other sensitivities as well, seems to have some protein allergies, and is on gut healthy diet. He’s a very sweet cat and demands to be picked up and held for at least 2 minutes every morning. His pics go from most recent to when he was a baby.

I never was a cat guy myself, I occasionally patted some stray cats from my city and had sympathy for them.

Now I can't live without these two, I love them so so much 🩷🩷🩷

He answers to Nebula, Nebby, Nebbums, his full government name when he's eating trash bag strings, and many more. He's my soul kitty! He loves to remind you when it's time for dinner and bedtime. Love him so much

seal point Bunny-Kicking for Fun or Instinct?

Post image

This is Mimi. She's 100% seal point, fixed, and we think she's 5-7 years old. We're her second home after her first human (my MIL) passed.

We've had her with us for ~a year, and we've bonded with her. She seems to have adjusted well: She seeks us out for affection and play, sleeps with us every night, talks to us regularly, and is even treating my calm, sweet elderly half-her-size Chihuahua more gently than she did at first. No litter box or feeding problems.

Our only real issue Mimi is that she bunny-kicks viciously. Us, the sofa, the rug, the bed, blankets, sheets, pillows, chairs, piled fabrics, everything even remotely soft. I'm afraid she'll eventually do it to (and severely injure) the Chihuahua if we don't get a handle on it.

She's intelligent, and we've taught her that a firm NO means to stop kicking, so she'll stop.... At least most of the time (bratty thing she is 🤣).

So far, tho, we haven't been able to teach her to just... Not kick.

She's so smart, she learned all by herself that when I (poorly) hum Mr Sandman, it's time for bed. She figured out that when I pat the sofa next to me, it's an invitation. She figured out what time my spouse gets home from work and waits for him by the door, and comes crying to me when he's 10 minutes late.

She's a brilliant joy, but we need to teach her to stop the vicious bunny-kicking if that's teachable, or learn that it's a breed/point quality that we have to learn to somehow work around.

What are your bunny-kicking thoughts, experiences, tips, stories, knowledge, especially with seal-points?

We rescued him three years ago, he’s about 7 now, we think. We’re his third home, he was very badly abused in his previous homes and as a result had to have a few teeth removed and some surgery performed.
I’d say after three years, he is finally fully settled with us, still a bit skittish at times if some is walking too quickly or if you move your feet too quickly but a little reassurance and he’s back up on your lap, asleep.

Whichever point he is, he’s absolutely perfect to me.

White hairs?

Has anyone else’s meezer randomly started getting white hairs in their toasty parts?
This is Tubby (full name Dr Zippy Simon Tupperware the 3rd the licensed Gastroenterologist) and he has started to grey? around one of his eyes. He’s only around 2 or 3 yrs old so not really old enough to start going grey.
He did recently have inflammation around this eye, I know the toasting can be temp dependent, could the warmth from the inflammation have caused the grey hair to grow?

Hi all, what are your favorite interactive cat toys for your kitty? I take mine outside for an hour or so to play every day, I play with him with different toys, but he doesn’t have any interactive ones yet and he has so much energy, i just can’t burn it all some days with my own work

snowshoe Meet Mox

Sorry if this is long, im like happy sad:

I dont know how to start so im just gonna jump right in, I lost my 14 y/o Male Snowshoe Cho a little over a month ago; He was my best friend and I miss him so very much. Then last Saturday, my wife and Sister-in-law brought this guy to me.

Which brings me to my main man here "Mox", I'm a huge M:tG Nerd and it seems appropriate hes bringing some Magic back into my life.

Mox is the best, while hes only 8 weeks old he came from a house where they had big dogs and too many litters of cats. Hes super sweet, not scared of anything, hes being treated like the little king he is.

I love him so much, he reminds me very painfully of my older guy Cho; Not just me my wife and child were all full on crying because of how similar he is. 😭😭😭

Anyway I hope to share more pictures in the future, im sorry if anyone got sad. Loss is hard, moving forward is hard also but im so happy i can now.
