I'm looking for a fun and immersive game. I really enjoy RPGs, and right now I'm in the mood for a game with strong simulation elements. Is KCD2 worth buying? Does it offer enough freedom, replayability, and meaningful progression to keep me engaged? Also i like being overpowered or like cheating the game a bit (with bugs), just like pretty much all fallout games (big fan of them). Should i buy the kcd1 first?

Also the save system is quiet scary to me

To make a long story short I had my birthday yesterday and one of my friends offered to buy me any game of my choice.

Now I'm trivialized and literally do not know what to pick between two choices: Persona 5 Royal and Baldur's Gate 3.

I've watched gameplay of both and I still can't decide.

With Baldur's Gate 3, I really like the idea of the complex and deep combat system the amount of freedom you have and how many different ways you can approach situations. However, I've heard some criticisms like the combat being slow at times, the games dialogue stretching out being longer then it needs to be and the third act feeling like a slog to get through

With Persona 5 Royal I really like the visual style presentation, music and overall vibe of the game. My only concerns are that I've heard that some sections felt like a waste of time to increase playtime also heard the beginning is pretty slow and my friend saying that the combat might become repetitive for me since you rely heavily on exploiting enemy weaknesses and he also said the game has no replay value.

What am I looking for? Honestly I really don't know. Both of these games seem to have some of the best combat in their respective genres and have really good stories so I feel like this is more a matter of personal preference rather than one game simply being better. From what I've read both seem like masterpieces in their own ways.

For people who have played both which one would you recommend?

I’ve been thinking about getting Jedi: Fallen Order, and both Fallen Order and Survivor are now on sale for on the PlayStation store for like $20 combined. I love story games, like Spider-Mans, God of War, DBH, RDR2, etc. I wanted to ask how the game play and story is, and if Jedi: Fallen Order is worth playing?

I haven't played too many zelda games, namely Skyward Sword, Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, and have enjoyed all of them.

Echoes of Wisdom and Link's Awakening have a similar, simpler gameplay and looks and they are on sale for the same price. I was inching towards Echoes of Wisdom simply because the gameplay hours are longer, and assuming both have the same entertainment value, it just means more hours spent per $ spent (a shallow reason i know).

On the other hand the only Dragon Quest game I played was 11, and I really appreciated the story, character depth, basically everything. My biggest complaint about it was that I had to grind a little bit(maybe a couple hours), which was not much but still noticeable for me as I hate grinding very much. If Dragon Quest 7 has more grinding, that's discouraging. However, the pace felt more enjoyable & consistent than the two bigger zelda games.

All three are on sale, and I could justify buying only one for now.

I have a wide taste in games and I am just looking for something to relax, something that will keep me hooked for a while and won't feel like I wasted my money on it. I have heard the game gets way to repetitive to a point that it gets boring and also the mechanics all feel shallow? I show interest in NMS is cause I like exploring, roleplaying, building etc. But with what others have said I feel not so sure.

Factorio (I know it is completely different from NMS but I mention it coz I only got burnt out once on my 400+ straight gameplay)

Long story, but I do crave many things I think can only be seen in MMOs or MMO-lites, such as an in depth character creator, fashion, community, and virtual world full of adventures. But I REALLY cannot stand tab target rotation based combat, speedrunning through content, and other "optimize the fun out" gameplay mechanics, such as builds becoming OP to melt things.

Unfortunately, nothing really avoids these yet. I'm basically waiting for a great action MMO that insists you get good at the combat gameplay. So until that releases, I need something to enjoy with others that are in a similar boat. I just don't know what that would be.

What do you suggest? What are folks with my tastes playing? Is it possible to find a real sense of community in that game, and how so?

Currently on sale for $30. I've been checking in on this game since release and it's recent reviews have been consistently 'mixed'- not sure how much of that is due to performance vs the game's actual content. I run a 4090 so performance likely will not be an issue for me.

Never played a MH game before. At least not truly- I did bounce off of World very quickly, but largely because it just felt... old to me. Since Wilds was around the corner at the time, I decided I'd refund Worlds and just wait for that, but with Wilds' turbulent launch, I've been hesitant to buy.

Not sure what to compare this game to really, but I've been curious to try it. The 'floaty' looking combat kinda reminds me of Dragon's Dogma 2, which I did enjoy. Should I buy Wilds while it's on sale? Or should I just try Worlds again?

I will exclusively be playing the main story campaign only and wont play anything online or grind after the credit roll. Looking for good gameplay but mainly great story.

I loved Arkham games and Guardian of the galaxy game too but not comparing them at all.

I have never played a Fatal Frame game, but I'm really invested in trying.

I usually enjoy games like Silent Hill, absolutely loved 2 Remake and Silent Hill f or all the Resident Evil Remakes and newer games.

Especially Silent Hill 2 is one of my favorite games, along with Cry of Fear.

I'm a bit scared I will struggle with the controls however.

I'm looking for a new RPG or ARPG to play. Price and PC specs aren't a factor, just need something fun that'll keep me hooked for a long time.

I'm looking for something with satisfying combat and excellent buildcrafting/variety. My preference is 3rd person action oriented, but I'm definitely open to isometric and even turn-based games. Open world is a big plus. Crafting/survival mechanics are a big minus unless the game makes up for it in other aspects.

Games I love:

- Skyrim, although I mod it heavily

- Dark Souls series/Elden Ring (for the combat and build variety)

- Fallout series (especially New Vegas, for the build variety)

- Baldur's Gate 3 (turn-based was never my thing but the build variety and story completely opened my mind to it)

Toxic Commando looks sick. One of those games that are right down my alley, killing hordes of zombies, 80’s style action, tons of firepower.

However, I’ll probably be playing with bots. I heard bots are dumb, but I’ll also play on easy or normal.

I also always loved the Battlefield games. BF6 has amazing graphics, higher player count, various styles to play the game. However, the last Battlefield I played online was BF3….I’m sure by now, I suck. I’ll be scared of getting killed all the time.
Plus it’ll take up a lot of Hard Drive space.

Which of these two games have a better experience?

Hello, fellow video game enjoyers. 

As everyone already knows, Wildlands will be getting a PS5 native version or a 4K 60 fps update. 

I was very curious about this game, but the 30 fps cap was a dealbreaker to me. 

Now I want to buy it based on my enjoyment of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Sniper Elite 5 and would like to hear if anyone else bought it for the same reason and ended up enjoying it.

What’s the gameplay like, what do you think about the looping / updates of the game. I know there’s been a sort of revival lately because of the update but i’ve heard good things about. Aside from the slave labor thing is there a friendship system or bond type thing of the sort? I like open world survival games but don’t know if it’s gonna be boring

Been getting tired of open world games and ones that involve other humans as the main enemies. (cyberpunk, rdr2, got/goy as of late).

Im looking for a game that feels like a video game and these 2 are my top picks at the moment.

I like that they have clankers as the main enemies and seem to be somewhat linear.

Which would you pick? Price difference is about $40 cad between the two but one is also physical, so paying more for that doesn’t upset me.

Currently there’s suicide squad : kill the justice league on sale on ps5 and I’ve been always curious to get this game. From what I’ve read the gameplay is similar to borderlands which I love but idk if is a solid game to drop 100/200 hours into or is too boring. So I’m here to ask who played it if this game is worth it or should I resist. The sale is at 90%.

Hi. I'm currently going through something in my life and thought to myself "hey... maybe if I play a game with themes of this, maybe it will help me a little to deal with these feelings/helps me see other perspective/ways how to fix it or move forward"

So... I'm looking for games with themes and motives of friends growing apart, ends of friendships, games with coming of age stories, friendships and betrayals, fake friends...

The game is currently on sale on steam for around USD6 rn. I've been wanting to get into an AC game for a while now, is unity a good entry point?

Games that I liked are: GoW, RE4, Cyberpunk, RDR2, Batman Arkham series to name a few.

From the reviews I've seen, the game seems to underrated among the AC games. The parkour is fun and the graphics still hold up. The negative stuff that seems to be mentioned are the clunky combat and controls.

Let me know your thoughts, should I get it?

I don't like stuffy games, I like action, stealth like in Hitman, games like Final Fantasy, although I've never played them. I also like Resident Evil, but it seems to me that the next part of the name will not surprise as much as the second remake, the fourth remake, the ninth, it seems a little bad, especially for me, it dodged the fact that the final form of Gideon is simply the final form of Nemesis in the third part of the remake. Well, Resident Evil itself has an average plot, but it itself is an exclusive game/gameplay.

I’m thinking about investing money in a collection of retro consoles plus a current-gen one (PS1, PS2, PS3, PS5, PS Vita, Wii, DSi). Right now, I own a gaming PC, a Switch (with 20 games), and a 3DS; I also have around 259 games on Steam. I used to own a few other consoles that I sold, and I deeply regret it now.

I know I could emulate most of what I mentioned using EmuDeck, but there’s something special about owning an actual relic — like an NES, Super Nintendo, N64, etc. It’s something that requires care but truly represents a specific generation. Aside from the PS Vita and PS5, the others are relatively cheap in the local currency (Real) — not dirt cheap, but not exorbitantly expensive either.

Looking back, I was previously considering a Steam Deck, since I buy games on Steam all the time and that’s where my main library is. However, the price keeps going up; for instance, the 1TB OLED version was 5,000 last month, and now it’s over 8,000. There are used options, too — I found one for 2,990 last month (I don't know the current price), which is a bargain, though I’m unsure of the condition. I just know it’s a 1TB LCD model; I’m not sure if it was upgraded with an SSD or if it came with 1TB natively.

The total cost for the vintage consoles comes to around 5k–6k BRL (Brazilian Reais). Since they come from various places, there’s the extra cost of travel/shipping, but the same applies to the Steam Deck, so it’s negligible (I assume?).

What would you do in my situation? It’s not exactly a "buy this game" question, but rather "buy this console."

Which one should I get I have heard all of them are supposed to be good and I know reanimal is a lil short. But that aight but I heard just amazing things about these games. And wanna hear what people think the best one to get is that I can sink the most hours into and is most worth my money so yeah. I also enjoy action and horror.

Sekiro or Hitman WOA

Sekiro:

Pros: Have completed elden ring, its dlc and ds3 and all its dlcs, so have some experience playing these sorts of games

Combat looks fun and once tried it on my laptop, but its way too bad to play on there so didnot give it another chance

Cons: Game is shorter compared to Hitman woa cause its 3 games and much more additional content

Hitman WOA:

Pros:Wanted to play these games for a long ass time but never got around to buying them. Hitman missions look fun and I enjoy modest pelican's videos on Hitman.

3 Games are included and also some additional content as well, so my money and time rate is better for hitman

Cons: Not sure if i'll like slow paced games. The only games I consistently play are celeste and Apex Legends, so if I dont like the games tooo much, maybe a waste of my time. I also stopped playing GOT on the third act cause the game became too slow and I just got bored.

I am definitely leaning more towards sekiro here but the 3 game deal on Hitman seems too good to miss. What are you guy's opinion on this?

Edit:I forgot to add to the post, but I have seen about a hundred videos on sekiro alone, at a time when I never thought I would have a ps5 or 30 usd to spend on a game. So, I wont be suprised by what sekiro throws at me at least story wise
