What problem are you solving?

Shoppers often cannot tell whether a wallpaper pattern, rug, or decor item will work with their room’s existing colors, proportions, lighting, and style.

For merchants with large catalogs, manually creating a staged room image or 3D model for every SKU is also expensive and difficult to maintain.

How does the app work?

1. The merchant’s eligible products are synced with Ideal House.
2. The JavaScript SDK adds the visualizer entry point to the storefront.
3. Shoppers choose a product and upload a photo of their room.
4. Ideal House generates an in-room product preview.
5. Shoppers return to the product and purchase journey with more visual context.

Because it is a cross-platform JavaScript SDK, it can work with Shopify without being limited to a Shopify-only architecture.

I built Email Audience Cost Guard, a free beta utility for Shopify merchants who use Mailchimp.

It reviews Mailchimp contact CSV exports and highlights contacts that may need manual review before the merchant makes any changes.

This is currently a standalone beta utility, not a Shopify App Store app.

What problem are you solving?

While researching Shopify email marketing apps, I found repeated complaints about:

- unsubscribed or non-subscribed contacts still contributing to audience size

- the same email appearing under different contact statuses

- duplicate or overlapping contact exports

- merchants being unsure which contacts may deserve an archive review

Reviewing several CSV exports manually can be confusing, especially when the same email appears in more than one file.

How does the app work?

The merchant exports up to four contact CSV files from Mailchimp and adds them to the tool.

The tool checks for:

- status conflicts

- cross-file overlaps

- same-file duplicates

- possibly invalid email formats

- unsubscribed or non-subscribed contacts that may deserve an archive review

It then creates a review list that can be downloaded as a CSV.

All processing happens locally in the browser.

- No account is required

- CSV data is not uploaded to a server

- The tool does not delete, archive, or modify contacts

- Demo data is included, so it can be tested without customer information

Who's your target merchant?

Small Shopify merchants who use Mailchimp and want a clearer way to review their contact exports before making manual changes.

How is it different / better than other existing solutions?

This beta is intentionally small and focused.

It does not try to replace Mailchimp or automatically manage an audience. It provides a browser-only review step that:

- works without connecting a Mailchimp account

- does not store customer email addresses

- does not automatically change any contacts

- clearly separates archive consideration from manual status review

The final decision always remains with the merchant.

The beta is completely free.

There is currently no paid plan and I am not selling anything in this post.
