The changes in the meta over the past two weeks are interesting. Many players have become skilled at dealing with dragon. And Rune and Portal have risen to Tier 1 thanks to their flexibility in dealing with various decks.

Will keep trying for the summer leaders until the last second. But I'm also happy with this, even though I already have a dragon leader I think I like this one better.

Discussion I hope Cygames print more interesting cards in the future.

I know that Cygames is really pushing the game to cater more to a more " casual" beginner friendly direction l. But I hope they print more interesting cards like Shakdoh having to built your deck a certain way or milteo drastically changing the rules of the game. Zooey buying you another turn. the new Ceres which have a cool effect. Yurius has some interesting lockeddown concept but failed due to Odin and Oulon which coin flips the game(this is ragebait). Archetypes as well like MJ with alternative win cons, as as I hate crest I love that unique playstyle. Because this set feels like play me then I destroy 1 or more thing or deal x amount to x or summon a lot of me. What I am also baffled is majority of the classes have new storm finishers. Seems like there is 1 or 2 Odin like cards per class. I just hope they balance it by not printing new cards that just do some generic things and push more of an archetype. I don't know if Cygames value class Identity that much having played a lot of CCG where they stick to their identity most of the time.

Question Returning Slash nerf revert in unlimited?

Is it likely they will revert Returning Slash's cost (2pp to 1pp) back when Omens rotates next month? Or is it likely some future-proof nerf with set 9 if they were to bring back loot architype?

Is this the first card they nerfed that is leaving rotation?

Edit: Forgot Benison.

Discussion Historically/in opinion, what is the hardest deck type to pilot and why?

For me, it seems that control decks are the hardest to pilot. Anticipating your opponent's line for efficient removal, wincon management, and matchup knowledge are all especially important to this archetype. It seems inherently harder than say, rally sword.

This matches with my experience that amulet Haven, Evo Crest, egg, and mode are all "harder" decks to master.

Also curious about if this was also the case for SV classic--I only played in the first ~10 sets of that game.

I faced 2 chess rune, 1 mode abyss, 1 Evo Haven, and 1 Evo/storm portal. 0 crests we're banished.

All quite heal-heavy opponents besides portal. Counter play mostly devolved into planning 1 or 2 high burst damage turns. Saving cards like Zoe, sandal, sweetness of voracity, disenchantment, and fate of the world let me out damage their burst healing for a short timeframe.

Was most worried about mode as they tend to run bahamut, but kept pressure up to force them to heal instead of baha

Video I feel so disgusting

I was 1 away from lethal, opponent on exact lethal, and all 3 hits were just enough to not kill me and just enough to kill the opponent. They played so much better than me I actually just feel bad lmao

(Excuse the music, was just what I was listening to at the time)

Edit: Since that post I got Oulon’d in a 10x more disgusting way than the one I showed here. I no longer feel disgusting

Discussion This was one of the most miserable Grand Prix ever.

Dragon, Dragon, Dragon, Abyss Mode, Abyss Mode, Dragon, More Abyss Mode... All of them with such optimized control builds that literally nothing I tried worked. Because they simply wiped away everything I did, and even when I managed to cause some damage, it didn't matter, because they simply healed back to 20, as if nothing had happened.

Seriously, I really don't understand why Cygames keeps printing decks like this. It's not fun, and it's not even interactive, since its cards have mechanics like intimidate, with huge stats; it's...It's just Crest Haven againAgain and again.

They took an important step with storm bosses, in this expansion, but it's not enough, because at the same time they bring cards with aggressive, the others with cures equally strong remain, so what's the point??

Why try to speed up the game when cards that heal absurd amounts of health, like Erntz, or the various Abyss cards, are still in play? I really don't understand why they insist on this type of gameplay.

So, how was the Gran Prix for you?

Question Are there battle sims and or other ways to play the old SV1 and or Evolve?

Title. I really miss the old Shadowverse and some of the old cards and while I’m a tad salty about not getting to use all the old cosmetics I earned and or bought from the SV1 like the leaders and the card sleeves, I’m mostly just missing older decks, playing with em, and showing some of my friends what the good old days were like. I found a simulator for SV Evolve (iirc it was TCG Arena or something) but I can’t find any sims for the old SV. Are there any in the process of being made, or perhaps mods of the old SV that got it working again?

Question What is better for grinding packs, GP runs or Take Two runs?

I mean, mathematically. Assuming you have a similar neutral/positive winrate on both what should you use your rupees in if you want to grind out packs in this last week of the summer banner?

General OG Shadowverse music in WB

I assume there's no way Cygames would allow us to permanently change the music to match SV1? It's miles better than the WB ost imo. Simply having it in the Battle Dungeon gives me a false sense of hope

This deck honestly builds itself, i think running Yidmetra is actually the better choice but it's already too cookie cutter as is.

Wills United has been great so far reviving Sharp-Eared Operative, or even catching people off guard if they don't deal with the board, you just watch as the consequences of their actions explode in their face lol. Just the flexibility alone is pretty impressive since it's also removal

Didn't max out on Knellclaw because I'm already running too many 5 costs. Knightly Andor was a bit hit or miss, at best it's just ok but it did steal some games. (Maybe you want to cut it, up to you)

I personally didn't want to run Naht & Vince but a lot of board clear cards rotated out so I'm running it reluctantly.

Final note would be about the weakness of this deck, ideally you want to max tempo to out pace the opponent but if they get their footing or if you run out of gas, the game might as well be over. (Toughest matchup would be something like mode abyss, or just anything that drags you to late game)

TL:DR Worth a try if you're looking for a new deck, thank you for reading what I had to yap about, good day.

General I'm a returning player from the skybound set and it feels like returning to a completely revamped game

I stopped playing during the skybound set cause I was busy with schoolwork, after rewatching flame I came back and boy did it change a lot, whole new artifacts in portalcraft, swordcraft basically getting more bomb rushing options and dragoncraft (my main) went through two different gimmicks from the self damage and burn to discard, it feels overwhelming, I managed to get a few new cards from the sets but it does feel like I'm missing a lot to get back into the game, any advice for decent decks currently?, I've heard crystal runecraft is a pretty budget deck and I already got one of the legendary followers so I might build that

Question Grand Prix group question

Hey all, new player here, first Grand Prix

I played in this Grand Prix and did my 3 daily attempts, got absolutely rolled on the first two, but then got up to group a with 4 wins in the last attempt.

However, now that I’m looking at it, on the website it says that now in stage 2 I only get two attempts to get three wins for group B or 4 wins for group A, or I’m out in stage 2, but if I was in group B I would have three attempts instead. Is that right? That seems like not a good design decision that because I did well I now have less of a chance to make it to the final round then I would have if I did poorly.
