Before & After: Looking at the photo on the left reminds me of where I started not just physically, but mentally. Yesterday was a huge personal milestone because I wore an outfit to the pool I used to convince myself wasn't meant for me. This path hasn't been easy, but stepping into the sun felt amazing!!!!

I started semaglutide on September 26th at 267.8 (starting weight for weight loss journey was 272 September 1st) as of today I am at 231 lbs. I plateaued hard in May-July gaining and losing the same two pounds but I kept going! Last August one of the things that pushed me to do semaglutide was I was struggling a lot trying to lose weight and got blood work done. While my fasting glucose and A1C were fine my fasting insulin was nearly double what it should have been. Happy to say it’s now well with in normal range! Another non scale victory is I started Pilates in September and fell in love! Recently completed my 100th class. My inflammation is nearly gone, I can’t believe how much better my joints feel. While I would love the faster results I see from other people down 41 lbs still feels good, almost half way there! (Goal weight is 175, I’m 5’10) (side by side photos are from September 1st, March 1st and July 1st)

PCP is having me stop blood pressure med for a week

I've lost 65lbs since starting sema in August 2025. Currently at 1.25mg/week. My blood pressure has been trending lower and this morning my PCP told me to stop taking it for a week and track my bp every AM and PM and give her the numbers to see if I can stay off the hypertension med. Wish me luck!!

I’ve gotten taller?

Has anyone else grown since taking the meds? I’m almost 30 years old and I’ve been a little under 5’ 1” my entire adult life. I went to the doctor today and I’m just above 5’2”. I’ve ordered a new pair of the exact same work shoes every July for the past three years, but I had to send my current pair back because they were too tight. I found one clinical study that said GLP-1s *might* affect growth hormones but there was no definitive answer. Just curious if anyone else has noticed a change?

Curious what week you started to really feel the meds kicking in.
Using the Shotzy app and it shows this graph of my second shot. Building on the first.

Primera semana con semaglutida 0,25 mg — experiencia inicial

Hola amigos!

Weird question…

Upvotes

I have googled but I wanted to know if anyone else has skin that hurts? Like my back hips and some of my torso feel almost bruised to the touch. No discoloration anywhere.

I’ve been on for 11 months. Down 67 lbs. no issues really besides some constipation occasionally. The skin thing has been going on about a month and idk if it’s even related or if I’m just being crazy.

Weird symptom

Has anyone else experienced like a dull ache in their stomach or chest area like they have some trapped gas or like I’ve swallowed food and it’s not going down properly… trying to figure out if this is a glp-1 symptom or if it’s possible angina or something and I should go to the doctor. Heart rate is normal

Cold medicine / SSRIs / GLP-1s absorption slowing down?

I've been on semaglutide for a few months now and recently noticed something I didn't expect. Took an Ibuprofen for a migraine around 2 PM yesterday and didn't feel any relief until almost 5 PM. I knew delayed gastric emptying was part of how this medication works, but I guess I underestimated just how much it would affect other oral medications too.

Has anyone else experienced this with their regular pills – whether it's pain relievers, allergy meds, or anything else? Do you take them on an empty stomach to help them absorb faster, or do you just take them earlier and wait it out?

Not looking for medical advice, just curious about other people's experiences and what's worked for them. Appreciate any insights!

When to start Wegovy?

I am (scheduled to) start Wegovy this evening, however I have a trip to Chicago next week Wed-Sun, and am worried about side effects during my trip. I understand everyone is different, however I was thinking about starting on Monday and having the trip fall on days 3-7 of the week to ideally minimize anything being too severe.

Also if anyone has any day of advice, happy to hear any tips!

Does it get better

I’m struggling … about 4 months in and I feel like every day is a battle with keeping side effects at bay

I can’t eat salad
I throw up at least once a day
Zofran is making me constipated

Looking for info on people who have been on longer - does it get better or is this just life now?

Has anyone actually found a telehealth provider with good support?

I’m looking into using a telehealth provider for weight loss, but a lot of the reviews mention slow responses and poor followup. If you’ve had a good experience with a provider that was easy to reach and actually stayed engaged after you signed up, I’d really appreciate any recommendations.

How does it work for you??

Just took my first dose about 2 hrs ago. 0.25 mg. Will be on this for 4 weeks until a review with my prescribing doctor.

I’ve read a bunch of posts in here about people losing weight and I want to know what major changes people have experienced?

Other than decreased food noise / appetite/ lack of desire for food,

What else changed? Did you exercise before and after starting? Did you have more desire to exercise?

Do you attribute your weigh loss solely to the decrease in food intake or are has exercise played a huge part in it?

I just in summary I want to understand if people feel they were being active enough in life before , but always over eating and since glp the overeating has decreased and now the exercise can actually have an impact???

ORRR, were you both not exercising and binging/overeating and now both of those things have changed?

Thankssss

People who have lost weight and have saggy/lose skin, what is the worst part?

So far I've lost 10 LBS with Semaglutide. I've got about 40 more to lose acording to my doctor. I've seen a lot of videos of people who have loose skin, and I feel like I'd rather have some extra fat than a lot of lose skin. I don't know if this is a terible opion or not 😂

To the people who do have lose skin what is the worst part and is it better than having extra body fat?

Survey to Research experience on GLP-1!

Hey! I'm doing research on people's experience of using GLP-1's, with the hope of building out a tool that will help people sustain their results in the long term.

I have built a survey to learn about different experiences of being on GLP1-s and would be so grateful for feedback! Link to the survey is below. Thanks in advance!!! 🙏

Insurance Help

Google tells me that a BMI over 30 qualifies you medically for glp1, meaning hypothetically my insurance that does NOT include weight loss drugs would cover in this instance because of medical “necessity”. Am I understanding this correctly? Should I just opt for the coverage that covers weight loss drugs or will my BMI 50+ qualify me? TIA

Anybody know what 60 units is equal to?

Hey guys! I have been keeping track of my progress by units, not mg. Anybody on 50 units or 60 units that can tell me? Thank you!!!
