this is george. george hates me. i’ve had him almost a full year now, and ive seen him out and about maybe once or twice. i recently went on a trip to africa for research and then immediately moved into a new house, so he’s been staying with my friend. since being at my friend’s house, he has been making almost weekly appearances. i have decided to take this personal and will be shunning him. maybe i’ll even say unkind words to his roaches before feeding him. who knows. if i have no haters, george is dead.

Super tiny fella, is it okay to keep in a small enclosure until they’re bigger? They’re still a scorpling. Under an inch. Any first time advice?

I just got an adult Androctonus australis for the price of a subadult, but it came with some orange parasitic mites as a bonus. 😅 What should I do to get rid of those parasites?

Hey all, I am setting this up for a juvenile Asian forest scorpion and i am wondering if any changes need to be made. I am having a bit of trouble with the humidity levels holding 70-80%. I taped off a lot of the top but it still seemed to dry out on the surface fairly quickly. I have purchased a riser for the LED light bar hoping that will help me out. All tips welcome! Cheers. (I just sprayed the enclosure so 99% atm)

Hello, apologies for another sexing post but I could really use the assistance. The pictures are two different scorpions. I'm leaning towards males but I just wanted to be sure because I'd like to breed them. Having a hard time finding any adult females online.

This is my first ever scorpion. Petsmart. Asian forest. They didn't know the sex of course. I got them on sale because they had been in petsmart too long. :( im not sure of the age either. I feel its male from the pics I took. But now I'm confused cause I've seen some people post females and some look like this too. Is my scorpion just too young to be able to sex correctly yet? Also can I see your set ups for your afs? They kept it super dry and I've researched they are a more humid species.

Is it possible to get stung without feeling it? I was moving my giant Asian forest scorpion and picked him up. I didn't feel a sting then but later that night it started to ache, now today my hand and in to my forearm hurts and look a little swollen. Is it possible to have a sneaky painless sting?

I just got this scorpion recently, and she gave birth. Her babies crawled off her tonight and have borrowed down. She seems to have some white stuff on her. My guess is maybe the babies shed stuck to her? I'm super new to keeping scorpions and terribly unprepared for babies. Does anyone know what this is/have any advice?

This is my first scorpion and I just can't figure it out I had it for almost a year now so thought I should find out by now. I've been keeping tarantulas for years and still have trouble determining sex.

Sorry for the crappy pic, was trying not to disturb him too much. I got this dude in Nov from PetSmart (I knoooooow 🙃) and was assured it was a male. Now starting to wonder if he's just a Big Booty Judy, or if I'm gonna have a bunch of babies running around in a couple months

I've been trying these past few days to feed onyx, my asian forest scorpion which I caught in our backyard a month ago. And he was feeding great these past few weeks but now when I try to feed him he just takes a nibble at the dead mealworm and then refuses to eat any more. I'm kind of panicking and I keep trying to check the enclosure to see if that's the reason he's not eating.

New keeper here. I have a juvenile Asian forest scorpion. Went back after 24 hours to find uneaten prey, no sign of my scorpion (probably burrowing) and this bloody looking substance on the dubia roach. The roach looked fine yesterday and this hasn’t happened with any of my feeders before. Im worried it’s disease or something and want to check on my scorpion, but I don’t think it’s worth digging him up. What do you think?

Very small, body is maybe only an inch. In Roswell, NM. He's in the gap between my door and doorframe. Should I try to move him, leave him be, or kill him? I don't want to kill him but if that's the best option I will.
