I just read the first few issues and I really liked them except when mazikeen speaks. I usually need to go over it like 3 or 4 times and read whatever the response is to figure out what she's saying, and it just takes me out of the book. Please don't spoil the book. I probably will read it anyway, I'm just hoping there's a break from her.

Hello everyone, new reader here. I want to read the Sandman story but the timeline seems overwhelming .. I'm planning to read the entire 75 issue first followed by the spinoffs like Midnight theatre then Books of Magic miniseries and Death's stories (the Deluxe HC). Will I be missing anything if I take this approach? Thanks in advance.

Since we know that the endless change their appearance and language based on the observers perception of them, I think it would have been interesting if the show casted different actors based off each region its being viewed in.

Who would you have want to represent your regions aspect of the endless?

For me Hob is definitely in the top 3 characters ever, bc the way he is written is genuinely amazing and feels unique and inspiring

My obsession w Tom Sturridge, DC, and Sandman all combined together is not okay.

First-time watcher of this series and I was hooked and in awe for the first few episodes.

However, as I have progressed into the episodes in Season 1, the storyline has become more and more weirder.

It sucks to see a story with so much potential and such a powerful, charismatic and eccentric protagonist brought to waste. I’m furious.

I really hope I see some improvement in the storyline, writing and even acting in the next few episodes or seasons.

Announced in the UK: Blu-ray box set of the second season, as well as a bundle of the Complete Series.

It’s not really discussed much throughout the comic book and depending on whether its the timeline in the comics or the netflix show the timeline changes. A lot of history involving dreams was a prominent part of the 20th century. For example, I think Dream would’ve absolutely listened to MLK’s ‘I have a dream speech’ or visited the Soviet Union once the Berlin Wall fell.

Lately lot of pages started to rank stories and stuff so i thought maybe we should do it too on sandman. Dunno if it was done here before.

Its kinda hard for me to rank definite best and the worst couse of so many different art styles.

So if u guys up for it lets start with the absolute worst story arc and make our way up the road.
We include everything sandman so overture, death, dream hunters, endless nights are all considered.

i remember at some point desire was beginning to forget and said they would forget about helping save the universe, so only dream would have remembered the universe before that dream vortex was corrected, but destiny had in his book dream coming back “from another galaxy”. so was the end of the universe written in destinys book, but because dream cheated the universe death, it was rewritten?

Sorry if it was discussed previously, I was just wondering if people had changes (between comics and tv adaptation) they truly enjoyed more in the series version?

I am getting into comics this year, and got a bunch of DC compacts. Interested in The Sandman, and already got the death deluxe hardcover edition. I want to get the full series, and am torn between getting the box set of 14 volumes or sandman deluxe books 1-5 plus deluxe sandman overture, with those 5 and overture being a bit more expensive than the box set, but would match with my death deluxe hardcover.

From what I can tell the contents are almost identical, just some short stories in the deluxe that the box set does not have ("Sandman Midnight Theatre.", “Flowers of Romance,” “A Winter’s Tale,” and “How They Met Themselves.” from Winter's Edge #1-3, "The Last Sandman Story"). Those make the deluxe versions worth it? Or is the box set fine?

Also want to get later: the saga of the swamp thing books 1-6. Lucifer Omnibus 1&2.

this has been in the back of my head for weeks now and i haven’t seriously drawn in a year and i was never good but all the art trends back a few weeks ago have made me really want to make something similar that im probably never gonna share, but im interested to know how others think Dream would even do or react with trh backrooms

Death of the Endless has the Eye of Horus tattoo, right? But she has it on the wrong eye. The Eye of Horus is the left eye, and her design is on the right eye, making it the Eye of Ra. And it's very consistent. She always wears it on her right eye, even though the Eye of Horus should be the left eye.

Was there something intentional I'm missing out on? Is there a reason she's got the Eye of Ra, or why she wears the Eye of Horus on the wrong eye? Is it some kind of goof? Was she meant to have the Eye of Ra? I'm just very curious.
