Rodger is playful and affectionate. Think zoomies in the yard, crunching on ice cubes, cuddles and belly rubs on the couch, and obsessed by his own reflection in windows. He did great on a recent Doggie Day Out and handled walks, a trip to the park, and new environments with ease. He's a sweet, happy boy ready for a family to give him a home!

Meet the lil rescue kitten we are calling Smidge! She's just a little smidgen of a cat and roughly 5 weeks old! Anyway, We just rescued this little girl on our property. It was likely abandoned. We were up til about 3am the 2nd night she appeared on our porch crying. We had to repeatedly chase off a raccoon that was after her. It kept trying to get under the car she was hiding under. We managed to get her into our outbuilding for the night. The next day after she was still on our porch crying we realized she was abandoned and had to bring her in. We CAN'T afford to take her in permanently, nor do we have the space as we already have 4 cats. She is still very skittish, but warming up to us very quickly. She is SUPER sweet and loves pets and cuddles. If you or someone you know would like a kitten, please reach out. The shelters around here are either "kill shelters" or full, so we don't have anywhere to take her at the moment.

She was last seen at the Trinity Oaks Cottages. She isn't feral, just cautious, and is totally lost. Her human passed away and I would like to give her a home...

Lost and found is an experience, and an awesome shop in downtown Salisbury. it's a record store, a bit of a curio shop and a bit of thrift! They have open mic nights and it's just a great vibe! You truly never know what you'll find or who you'll meet!

Yesterday while going about my Twitch stream (chamrsdeluxe), a group of firemen on their way back from a call spotted me and reached out during my live stream! It was such a cool experience!

Given everything going on in the NC Board of Elections and how much power they have over our local elections - Is there any real opposition to extra Saturdays and Sundays?

My hopes for the July 8 meeting – For the public good, I hope the Board minutes of the June 10 meeting show how many people wrote in support of weekend voting prior to the meeting and if any wrote against it. I hope the minutes include the number of public comments in favor of extended weekend voting and how many people were in the overflow room and how many were for more Saturdays and Sundays. I hope the Director will inform the Board and the public of how many emails and letters in support of extended weekend days were received following the conclusion of the June 10 meeting and how many residents were disappointed and/or opposed to the decision being made in Raleigh rather than locally.

I live directly across from a church that wants to use a very small parcel of land for apartments. While I support housing and churches in general doing things to benefit the community, in this case every neighbor is opposed and will be impacted negatively.

I frequent the coffee shops here and do martial arts but haven't really found much in terms of socializing/groups. Does anyone know of any social groups or hobby clubs? I've joined some fb groups that show events happening here but I dont see many groups like running clubs or sports clubs. I'm 25 and would like to make friends and become involved with the community. If not social groups, what do you folks to do get some chatting in? Thank you for the recommendations!

Hi all! I know it's a long shot, but I am looking for some handmade Christmas stockings that were made by my Grandmama.

They were left at the house after my Grandaddy passed and my family wasn't able to retrieve them. I would think that the new owner would have donated them to a thrift store nearby.
