Hi, I recently interviewed for the New Graduate RN Program at Natividad Medical Center and was interviewed for the Mental Health Unit and Float Pool. I was wondering if anyone else has gone through the interview process recently and, if so, how long it took to hear back after interviewing.

I’d also love to hear from anyone who has worked on either of these units. What has your experience been like in Mental Health or Float Pool at Natividad? What do you enjoy about the unit, and what advice would you give to a new graduate nurse considering either role?

I went to the dentist after years of not going and was told that I have 12 cavities. He quoted me $300 for each cavity and I don’t have any insurance. Don used to cut my hair when I was young, like early 2000s to the 2010s. He had been an Elvis Presley impersonator at one point, he looked like Elvis and talked like Elvis. His shop was all retro equipment with signed posters of Elvis and Little Richard. Always had ice cold sodas in the fridge. I remember a reporter was in the shop one time, writing down Don's story for one of the local newspapers. I haven't gotten a haircut on a regular basis since I moved away because it was never going to be as cool as "Elvis" being my barber.

I heard he passed away a few years back, I don't know any additional details. Pour one out (an ice cold soda) for Don if you remember him.
