Visited my childhood Sears the other day

Visited the Pontiac Mall. Or where it was, at least.

I miss driving in this very drive way to the corner of the mall that had the Sears doors with those incredibly interesting "vents" above them. They towered over me when I was a child.

On a side note, does anyone know what the purpose of these were? Or were they just a design choice?
