How’s the schedule looking?
Heard 280 was bad. I’m also worry about 342 as I’m taking it without having taken 306 yet.

Going into fall of freshman year. AMS major, thinking about double majoring in CSE down the road.
My advisor put me in both linear algebra and calc 3. Is that going to be too much? Should I drop one and take it next semester?

They're telling me that I have to attend this. I look at what dates are available and the only openings are during the days and hours that I work. On top of that, they take 5 days to respond. How come they can't have any openings after 4pm? Is it that hard for them to accommodate people. This university really pisses me off and I haven't even attended it yet. (I started a job a month ago and cannot get time off yet, which is definitely the case for many people.)

Hi everyone! I am transferring to Stony Brook after doing a year at another SUNY. I know the options for chem professors are far and few, so I'm already planning on that class being a pain. I am taking LIN 200 online as well. I also heard it's better to do a Spanish class at another college since they don't have many options for good professors:( Give me all the feedback you can!!

Any tips or advice? I live in the east side of Queens. My classes starts at 9:30am and won’t end late. I am wondering how bad the morning traffic will be.

Hi everyone! My friend and I are two male students looking for housing near Stony Brook University starting September 1.
Our budget is around $1,200 per person per month, but we're flexible for the right place. Ideally, we'd like something within a 10-minute walk of Stony Brook University.
If you have a place available or are looking for two roommates, please send me a DM. Thanks!

Has anyone here taken summer calc4 with Junqi Huang? Are the exams easy or hard? Are they homework based or do they tend to have lecture questions not covered in the hw? Or is it different than everything?

Basically the title. I took AP Calculus BC in high school and scored a 5. I am an incoming freshman electrical engineering major. I linked my schedule and AP scores above. Now I heard I can take MAT 303 or AMS 361. What is the difference? What should I consider when I make the decision whether to stay in MAT 303 or move to AMS 361? Is there any other feedback over my schedule? Thank you.

Where are you guys finding off campus housing? Whether it be a house to rent to go in on with friends or just a room somewhere? I’m really leaning away from living on campus my final year especially because of the cost, I’m afraid though I might be too late to the game 😅 Any help would be appreciated.

Most people I met warned me about these clubs but I didn’t realize how bad it once until I attended. The drama all so childish too, just people overreacting to things with their egos. Some of the religous/spiritual folk there are fakes too because of the egos that cause drama, they wouldn’t act that way if they actually read their texts.

Also is it a big deal that my Math 123 is one of the lower classes. How's the workload of this schedule overall?

I'm an incoming graduate student and I saw that my options for gym reimbursement are either to get a membership with the on-campus gym or get up to $100 reimbursed for an off-campus gym membership, but funding is not guaranteed. Have any grad students ever had difficulty getting these reimbursed?

Hey! I’m a campus commuter wondering what’s the best way to park and travel to the HSC. What’s the best shuttle bus route to go there? What is the best shuttle bus to get from there into the main campus by the library as well? 🧐 Thanks!

I think this adds up to 14 credits. 2 SBCs and 1 sbu101 class. And the math and Spanish were pre enrolled. Is this normal? Cause I thought I was gonna get atleast a BUS or ECO class since I'm a business major.

I take my math placement on August first and I signed up to make my schedule on August 4th. I’m worried the classes left won’t allow me to have all the credits I need. Will I be okay? I have work so August first was the only day I could’ve taken it.
