I am an autistic adult so I understand disabilities and I am for the advocacy and better acceptance of people who are different. But there's something that rubs me about a channel that interviews a bunch of disabled people and makes money off of it without any of that money ever going to these people because some of these people live with great medical expenses and I understand he needs to make a living but when you're making a living by interviewing disabled people it almost feels like exploitation. Especially with the level of popularity in the views his video gets because I'm sure he makes tens of thousands of dollars a month

I saw a video from Chris & his wife, talking about YouTube restrictions, hardships about monetization etc. but then today like a week after I watched tha video I see an add.

does this mean YouTube is cheating, or that they are monetized again?

I liked that one and wanted to rewatch it, but it's gone...

i sent dozens of emails and waited almost a year and a half. i was ghosted with no answer.

i put my heart and soul into that interview and it was never posted. i don’t think about it often. but when i do, i’m heartbroken beyond words. there’s nothing i can do about it. which sucks even more.

i don’t exactly know where i went wrong, but what i do know now is that i was treated unfairly and given no answer as to what happened.

I'm hearing impaired and also love visiting interesting places and events. I had the idea to start what's basically a travel/experience page where I highlight places and experiences from the perspective of folks living with chronic conditions or disabilities. To set the tone, I was hoping to collect some quotes with the answer to this question: "what do you notice when going to a fun event or a cool place, that you feel is unique to you?" - for our social media. Would this be of interest to anyone? You can be as anonymous as you want. But ideally you'd share a name or pseudonym, and your condition.

I really admire Chris Ulmers work and am very curious as to how he got so dedicated to helping us.

Was a loved one of disabled growing up? Is he a practicing religious? Was he helped by someone disabled at a time of need himself? Is he just naturally born an angel?
