And wanted it to make everyone feel responsible and this way she could “haunt” them and keep her memory alive. Maybe Oliver is her secret lover that is “marrying” Amelia as a cover to get the group all in one place. I’m very interested to see where this mystery goes

From the very first episode, I had this thought: MC, run away from here! The estate is full of guys who, from day one, are trying to convince you to stay, offering you a bedroom right away... I would've checked into a hotel.

And now there are gifts too.

And honestly, why is it normal for Audrey to wear clothes that are just given to her as an employee? I don't get free clothes at my job. It's all very suspicious.

I saw a poll about who could’ve killed faunel and the top theories were split between house emenlia, Foelh, and tai

I was so shocked about house emenlia being top three bc it didn’t seem like they’d have a legit motive but then I realized they actually possibly could have several 😭 under the assumption that they did sell out their own people at the fort. And also their involvement would most likely be the only way (if Foelh is involved) the emperor could’ve got away with it seamlessly.

They have a few reasons to be against the peace and were the only ones besides the emperor himself who benefitted from the vellora plan:

1. Miarlas would’ve been skipped over.

The whole point of leaking information to the enemy would’ve been to put their daughter and her future children on the throne and be shadow rulers who could sway politics. (Alicent Hightower core)

The princess was obviously headstrong and independent (faunel was kind of like tiss without the bravery and selflessness) so she couldn’t be easily controlled. She wouldn’t make a good puppet but like she says her brother is weaker minded so the family probably liked that they could easily control him.

But if a half imperial heir is on the throne they lose that control and slowly become obsolete.

2.their original treason at the border castle could’ve been exposed

Usually when one makes a deal with the enemy, they give the enemy leverage to hold over their heads.

In order to sell out the crown prince they would’ve likely had to use the black market routes that already existed and the emperor would’ve picked up on this since it is said he most likely knows of the illegal trading ( the fact that the trading routes were said to be ports and mountain passes and the military is already corrupt as well)

There is def a paper trail and I believe Foelh 100% was exploiting them and holding this over their head. They basically made a deal with the devil and I have an inkling they have been inside men and backstabbers for a while ever since they sold out their kingdom.

When two nations unite, the stuff that happened in the dark usually comes to light and they would’ve most likely been exposed eventually if the marriage between tai (who is smart and honorable) and faunel (who probably could not be controlled by them) had been successful.

3.Foelh most likely forced them and offered something better (but I do think they were willing enough as well)

We keep making theories based on “or” instead of “and”. I think it could’ve been a bigger plot and doesn’t have to be an either or thing, but rather both working together.

Foelh likely had dirt on them. He could’ve leaked their treason at any time. they had to listen to him.

Also the kingdom is on the losing side. As airdal says they aren’t in place to make demands or really negotiate with the empire right now. The emenlias could’ve weighed their options and realized they’d be better off fighting for the “winning” side and keeping their power (and their secrets hidden)

I think that vellora being the chosen bride could’ve been apart of the deal to kill their neice. Trading blood for blood. Just blackmailing backfires often and Foelh would have needed to sweeten the deal to ensure they’d comply since he knows how to deal with greedy and corrupt people. his entire court is full of people like the emenlias.

(I mean look at the stark difference between foelh’s marriage to vellora and how he took his time compared to him rushing tais wedding with faunel and her citizenship. He planned to give his son a ghetto two day speed-ran wedding and made his own to vellora all special and monumental 😭😭)

Bc with vellora on the throne, now the emenlias are the emperors and the kings in-laws. (Unlike the princess who is their relative but not a member of their house like vellora is) Their political importance and chance of survival skyrockets. When he eventually planned on taking esshai they would’ve had his protection and (even if he was using them and cruel) they would most likely not be killed and their survival was guaranteed.

And their treason could pretty much not and no longer need to be used against them. They would’ve been powerful and relatively safe with the most powerful man in the world keeping their treason secret to ensure no scandal came out about his new in-laws.

Basically I’m thinking:
Foelh ensured that the princess was killed on empire territory and was an empire citizen before she died so airdal couldn’t legally investigate it. And made sure to create that blind spot by the gorge.

And house Emenlia could’ve supplied the assassins and the actual dirty work probably and possibly could’ve even known what faunel was planning that night and knew she would isolate herself.

Also what inclined me to think House Emenlia is def going to get what’s coming for them is that all the love interests seem to be in ro’od now. Vellora used to be the only one who seemed to end in esshai but idk about that anymore.

Vellora has a castle and an allowance in ro’od and is being treated like a sister by tai, so it’s likely she’ll end up cutting ties with her family I think.

Just tryna throw out other theories bc i don’t like the shadow one and it just seems to complicate the plot too much imo (when we already have two villains already established, plus the monsters and the angry group of humans)

on top to that if tai is possessed, the idea of the main character existing for the next seven episodes to help tai ( the supporting character mind you) annoys me. I want tai to just be like a secret necromancer or something and help us not the other way around 🙄

Also the petty part of me wants to see miarlas and kanniel humbled 😛

And yes, we already have a story with a setting similar to Edo period, Legend of the Willow. But the setting of that story is a fictional mixed culture of Japan, China and Korea.

I absolutely do not want to accept what happens to Mort. I'd already spoiled it for myself long before coming to this chapter, but even knowing what I already knew,..... I can't bring myself to finish reading it. I know that Mort is just a fling and doing this to him is probably a way to keep him from interfering with the main Lis or adding to it, but..... I don't want this!! I want to save him or bring him back somehow! But because I know that most likely won't happen, I don't want to accept it by finishing the chapter 😭. Don't make the side characters/flings better than the main Lis! I get attached!!

When I first started reading Dracula, I was so excited. But now I'm so bored. It feels like the story isn't progressing anymore. Has anyone else gotten bored with the story in season four like me?

So... I played Dracula a couple of years ago, but I never finished it bc I play in Spanish, and the episode translations took forever 😭

Now I'm restarting from Season 1, and the first time I obviously chose Vlad as my LI. But I also remember absolutely loving Noe, and I was sooo tempted to switch routes more than once.

Has anyone experienced a difference in how Cain and Lane interact on the Dark Messiah versus Light Messiah? I wanted a darker playthrough so I'm using Dark Messiah and she never unlocked love and the beginning she was very distant from him with a feeling of shameful longing pop up. Is it the same as on the path of Light Messiah with the love emotion unlocked.

I wonder what color Griaran’s hair is? Frankly i couldn't trace any resemblance to her father at all. Maybe she takes after her mother? If she takes after her father, her hair is red. However if you ask me it's more likely to be black or gray..

I got my sister on the app and she played and was upset that Dino died and she restarted it. I know he lived when I played but it’s been so long that I don’t remember what choices I picked. I know I didn’t choose kiss and sex scenes but that’s really it.
