Fandom Roleplays:

Your character can be original or it can be a canon character. Just know that I’ll most likely be playing an OC unless otherwise specified! But just because I’m looking for something super specific doesn’t mean I won’t make acceptions. There’s been cases where I’ve been so into an original character that I’ve actually volunteered to be a canon character in that case! I’m also comfortable with playing canon characters to fill the gaps!

Original Character Roleplay

These are the ones I’m fairly new to again. It’s been years since I’ve created an original character for an original story that I haven’t been writing.

For those, I like anything involving romance/slice of life. Rom-coms are also a huge YES in my book. But as of recently, I’ve been interested in more medieval and regency plots, adventure/action, and supernatural. But those can all be up for discussion. If you have a good superhero/secret identity plot as well- hit me up, gang.

I’m also willing to play side characters and other characters for your characters. Jeez, I say characters a lot.

Again, I’m interested in playing female original characters and am looking for male/nonbinary characters to roleplay with.

I’m also going to be dependent on both myself and my partner to make choices that drive the story forward! I want to be on the verge of tears for emotional scenes, perplexed and confused for random plot twists! Give it all to me!

General Rules:

\- I am not comfortable with any sort of (18+) action if you get my drift. I do not get into detail and will not get into detail no matter what. But, if there are any situations in the plot that do come up where a character of mine would be interacting in that way, I will be brief and fade to black. (I’ve had too many bad situations with 18+ content and hate being pestered to include it, so if you’re looking for someone to match your freak- it’s not me.)

\- I have a life, you have a life. It’s okay if we don’t reply constantly. It’s okay if you got stuff going on. Hi! My name’s Red, I’m 28, and I’m looking for a historical arranged marriage romance. I’d love for the setting to be anywhere between the 1700s and the early 1900s (I’m very flexible on the exact period). More than anything, I’m hoping to find someone who enjoys building a rich story together, so I’d love to flesh out the details collaboratively.

Rough Plot Idea:

Muse A is the daughter of a once-respected noble or wealthy family. Following the death of her mother, the household begins to unravel. Her father, unable to cope with grief and desperate to maintain the family’s status, turns to reckless investments, risky business ventures, and gambling. What begins as a few poor decisions quickly spirals into insurmountable debt.

The family that holds those debts is one of the most influential and affluent in society. Whether through old money, successful industry, political influence, or aristocratic power, they possess the means to either completely ruin Muse A’s family or save it. Rather than demanding immediate repayment, they offer another solution that would benefit both families socially and financially.

Muse A is to marry their son.

Muse B may have been raised knowing of the arrangement, may resent being used as a bargaining chip, or perhaps has his own reasons for agreeing to it. (This is where we can change and alter the plot). Maybe his family is desperate for a respectable name to legitimise newly acquired wealth. Maybe his father is controlling and sees marriage purely as another business contract. Or perhaps Muse B himself initially opposes the arrangement but has little choice.

Neither character necessarily wants this marriage.

I’d love to explore two people who are complete strangers-or perhaps knew of each other through society- being forced into a lifelong commitment because of obligations far beyond their control. They’re expected to present the image of the perfect couple despite harbouring resentment, distrust, or entirely different expectations of marriage.

I really want to focus on the gradual evolution of their relationship. I imagine plenty of awkward dinners, tense carriage rides, ballroom appearances where they’re forced to perform for society, misunderstandings, arguments, and reluctant teamwork as they navigate expectations together. Over time, respect slowly replaces resentment. They begin to learn each other’s vulnerabilities, recognise the pressures they’ve both lived under, and eventually become one another’s greatest source of comfort.

I’d also love for there to be external conflicts beyond the romance. Things such as:

Family expectations and controlling parents.
Inheritance disputes.
Scandals and rumours threatening their reputations.
Political or social unrest depending on the era.
Financial recovery of Muse A’s family.
Jealous suitors or rivals.
Secrets either family has been hiding.
Balancing duty with personal happiness.

I’m absolutely open to weaving in political intrigue, court politics, succession disputes, or wider historical events if that’s something we both enjoy plotting. That said, I’d prefer for the romance and character development to remain at the heart of the story. I’m much more interested in the emotional journey between the characters than a plot driven entirely by politics. Think more so a character focused, slow-burn romance filled with longing, misunderstandings, societal expectations, quiet domestic moments, stolen glances, and two people slowly learning to trust one another. I love romances where every moment of affection feels earned and where their feelings develop naturally over time.

Some believe that the cause behind is the fact that the 5 Rainbow Crystal Shards, legendary artifacts said to preserve the ecosystem, are being stolen…

Contemporarily, the enigmatic locations known as Mystery Dungeons increased a lot, making traveling across the world even harder. In front of this escalation, many Pokemon create Explorers Team in order to face the countless missions that are necessary to be done and the many Pokemon who need rescue for the various reasons. At the same time, some prefer to explore and map unexplored areas, hoping to find the cause behind the ongoing crisis.

In this difficult situation, a Pokemon of a small town dreams to be an explorer, but Pokemon living there do not share that wish, aside from the members of the local guild, who already formed their teams. As the Pokemon wanders and wonders what to do, they stumble across a Pokemon who claims to be a human… what’s happening?

I have some 8-ish years of experience in RP and over the years I would say that my tastes did not really change, while my standards did get raised a little. That might sound a bit silly to some, but we all know that some level of seriousness and in-universe logic is required in every good RP.

Before I get to my favored genres, I want to tell you what I value in a decent RP-Partner. Above all I really value chatting aside from the RP. I believe that a good communication is important. I'll literally never just ghost anyone. If something does not work out, I'll say it nicely and right away. And I love talking about the stuff we write in the RP (or anything really). All I ask for is that you would do the same for me. I even would go as far to say that I also really appreciate well put criticism and do my best to better myself based on it.

Romance, Action, Crime or a combination of everything is acceptable though!

Hey there! I'm looking for a long-term rp partner to dive into something that keeps us both up way too late, because we just can't leave the last reply unanswered.

Right now I have a serious craving for Regency era stories. Think of the seasons, the weight of a look that lasts a second too long, secret correspondence, forbidden love, friendships that slowly bloom into something more, society scandals, the struggles of the middle class, political intrigue. The quiet desperation of navigating society as a woman with limited options, a Duke who isn't what he seems, a Baroness carrying someone else's scandal, two spinsters who slowly realize they've found home in each other. There are so many directions we could take this, and I'm genuinely excited to explore them. I'm also open to bringing in light fantasy elements if the story calls for it. Romance is very much on the table, but I need it to mean something. I want a world that feels real and a plot we both care about. It would be great to have someone who likes to plot a lot, throwing ideas at each other.

I'm 30F, based in CET (timezone is flexible), and I'd prefer someone to be at least 25+. Writing-wise, I do advanced lit and tend toward novella length. I love inner monologue and knowing what your character is actually feeling, as long as it isn't the only thing carrying the scene. That said, quality over quantity ofc. Hey, I’m an 18-year-old male looking for a slow burn romance roleplay partner who can write in first person. Contrasting/clashing personalities and behaviors are usually a fun aspect for me to explore. But of course, story and character comes above all for me. Other plots I enjoy are adventure, academic rivalries as well, sports/racing rivalries too.

HOWEVER. None of this is fixed in stone, it's purely to explain my background. I'm more than flexible when it comes to plots

More specifically, I'm trying to look for a superhero plot. Genre can vary of course, as well as dynamic, but overall I'm looking to play a Bane-like female character. With injection ports and all. Enslaved by her past, blind to the future. Too hateful to learn. Too spiteful to prosper.' The other character would be someone showing her that she doesn't have to rage against the world. That she can be content with the boons she has and not obsess over what she lacks.

Of course, doesn’t have to be superhero related either! An alternative plot I got in mind is as a Spy X Family type plot where my character was a result of an underground supersoldier program, but instead got moved into VIP protection. And of course, more than happy to hear whatever YOU have to say here. RP is a give and take after all.

Not a hard requirement, but ideally would like someone in an American timezone given availability shenanigans. I’m usually available all day after work (Often during it for ooc) and as long as I can during weekends! I love writing, what can I say?

Ahoy! I'm a 27F writer looking for other F 21+ RP partners interested in an OCxOC pirate story.

I haven’t gotten too far into it yet but the release of Black Flag Resynced is pulling me right back into my pirate phase, I've been itching to write something set during the Golden Age of Piracy. I'm looking for a story that's character driven with relationships that evolve over time.

I'm thinking something of shifting alliances, impossible choices, political intrigue, mutiny, naval pursuits, hidden coves, dangerous voyages, and the constant struggle between freedom and duty. Give me treasure hunts, uneasy truces, rival crews forced to work together, whispered rumors of cursed islands, bustling port cities full of spies and smugglers, or characters trying to outrun the lives they left behind. 

I'd love to keep things fairly grounded in history, though I'm more than happy to sprinkle in a very light fantasy elements in. Think Pirates of the Caribbean but more grounde. Tone wise, we can lean into adventure, slow-burn romance, political drama, psychological tension, etc. 

As for writing, I write in third person past tense usually around 750+ words per reply depending on the scene. I primarily write male main characters but enjoy playing side characters of all genders to help make the world feel alive. Pairings wise, I’m good with MxF, platonic, or MxM.

One of my favorite parts of roleplaying is everything that gets us to the actual rp part! I love plotting, worldbuilding, creating interconnected casts, building family trees, collecting inspiration images, making playlists and moodboards, sharing headcanons, and generally obsessing over the little details that make a setting feel real. A gnawing sense of nostalgia and his unrequited feelings for Noelle are driving him... At the start of Chapter 2, he already has it hidden under his clothes... And he’ll be ready to use it to protect Noel from any threat... With every rift, his maniacal obsession with that very same old friendship will grow. And the moment will come when he gets his hands on the thorn ring...

A cold, autumn day... It’s raining outside... Kris has come to “visit” Noelle, and in his pocket lies that very ring that will bind their love forever... And their souls together

Lyonel Baratheon was not a man to be tied down. The Stag King, who was perpetually a bachelor, would have to be tied soon to secure his legitimate lineage.

Lyonel was a man for parties, and what's a wedding if not the biggest party to be thrown? Lenore, now Baratheon, once Arryn, was a lady of noble birth whose father could do with her being out from under his feet. She was a kind woman to all, including the smallfolk. Lyonel would never see his people go without, and in the time of the Great Spring Sickness, the now Lady of Storm's End cared for her people and won their favor that spring.

That union was nearly a year since passed, and the first Baratheon heir was due by the next full moon, by the count of the Maesters, but Lyonel's own birthday came first. It was an excuse for a joust for a man grown restless over the last few months—a man who wanted a new horse to train to occupy his wild mind.

Hello! Since the series is currently ongoing, I’m a bit obsessed with it. There are cities, villages, ports, kingdoms, etc. Each region is different: steampunk, medieval, some modern, futuristic, western, etc. I like to be able to work a little of everything in to keep it entertaining. I do have a distinct area I'd like to stay within for the first bit. After that, the world is free range.

I'd like to have it somewhat dnd based. DND Beyond is where I have most of my characters set. This is not a requirement, only a statement.

I am searching for a long term roleplay based in modern times but involving established mafia families with a long history of success, however they have trust issues despite the influence they have.

The roleplay will focus on two established mafia families (also a third family but I will detail that later on) that over the years have worked together in various projects but also worked against one another in certain projects. It’s pretty much a love-hate working relationship which has filtered down to our characters who are the new leaders of each mafia family.

Lately the working relationship between the two families have deteriorated to a point where there have been various small clashes between the two families in a few situations, tensions have never been this high. An all out war threatens to spill over between the two which is further being egged on by a third mafia family.

The third mafia family isn’t as influential as the original two families yet the leader is striving to become even more influential. They have a plan to cause further animosity between the two families by cosying up to your character’s family and feeding a few white lies about my character’s family to add fuel to the fire.

However, the elders and former powers to be of the two families recognise the dire situation, they want peace before things go past a point of no return therefore a radical deal is struck where the two families will come together through the arranged marriage of our characters. I envisage that neither of our characters would be pleased about the marriage but they do not want to go against their elders.

A twist here would be that your character’s family is hoping to use the marriage pact as a passage to get to the heart of my character’s family’s operation to cause disruption and bring it down. The third character and family would also be helping in this aspect which may cause further chaos.

The basic gist of the roleplay would involve an enemies to lovers trope but also a love triangle angle since your character and the third character would favour one another at first before the main characters have a chance to grow close. Themes I’d like to involve:

- Romance (potential slow burn)

- Drama (lots of it)

- Betrayal

- Plot twists

- Many more

The above idea is open to amendments so long as we don’t move too far away from the main idea. However, again I am open for discussion here.

I will only write in Discord in third person POV, I prefer realistic face claims for characters and my typical post lengths are around a minimum of 3 to 4 paragraphs [However, I do tend to go over the discord character limit at times so if you enjoy detail then I’d think we would match up well].

!Help Wanted!

Oak Ridges was an idyllic place. With smooth sandy landscapes and clear blue water. Big old victorian houses lined the roads like dollhouses, ready to be played with. In the summer months, the beaches flooded with people,  bringing in lots of tourists. In the off-season, things were much quieter. It wasn't a large town, and jobs were few and far between. Especially since right now it was spring, flowers only just began to come up slowly from the dirt. Things were quiet, and so was the job market.

Endless applications, without hearing anything back. One job posting came up that seemed easy enough.

'HELP WANTED: Part-time support work

Requirements: First Aid, Police record check, clean driving record, and access to a vehicle. You must also be okay with dogs!

Experience: Social work or personal support work experience is preferred but not required

Description: You will work about fifteen hours a week assisting with daily living tasks like cleaning, shopping, scheduling, and medications. You are also required to drive to appointments with advanced notice.'

Well, that seemed easy enough. Maybe they were lacking experience, but how hard could it be? The pay was very good, almost too good. Somehow, they got an interview. One phone call later, and it was settled. They had a shift on Monday to meet the person. The lady, Amelia, seemed very nice. She explained that the position was to help with her son.

August lived in a small studio apartment. It was pretty close by the beach and within walking distance from work. Those were the only two things he really needed in a place. Living on his own was a big adjustment. He was all by himself for the first time. Most kids went to college or were even finished with that by now, but August just worked retail at an aquarium store. He loved fish and keeping them, getting other people into the hobby and getting to talk about his interests all day long. For him, that was enough, and his parents were more than happy with it. August is atypical, but even without that as a factor he never wanted to go to school. He spends his time at work, at the beach, or taking his dog Minnow out to do things. She is a very helpful service dog, so she pretty much comes everywhere with him anyway.

Amelia had explained that August was very independent. However, he had epilepsy and couldn't drive. He was also on the Autism spectrum. Things were sometimes more challenging for him, and he needed some support. She felt that it was better for someone else to do it, so he didn't feel like his parents were breathing down his neck, and he could still be independent. Hopefully, he would need less help and could learn some things for himself as time went on. But for now, they would have about three shifts a week. This first one was more so to get settled and see if they were a good fit. August could explain in person what exactly would help him.

The day came, and August heard a knock on the door. Appreciating the fact that they were right on time. With a deep breath, he opened the door, looking at a fresh new face on the other side.
