A hi ccidentally cut someone off and he got out of his van to yell at me.
I can’t stop thinking about it. This happened this morning on my way to work and I’m honestly still shaken up.I was about to miss my turn, so I put my signal. Two cars beside me already wouldn’t let me in, so I got flustered trying to find a gap. Once that car passed, I moved in behind it and didn’t realize there was a van in my blind spot. He honked and I immediately realized I had cut him off. Did a wave “sorry” because I genuinely didn’t see him. I wasn’t trying to cut him off on purpose.
Instead of just honking or flipping me off and moving on, he rode my bumper. Then proceeded to follow me and when we stopped at a red light, got out of his van, walked up to my drivers window, and started yelling at me. He said something like, “Just because you have your signal on doesn’t give you the right to cut people off.”
I said, “sorry, I was in rush didn’t see you,” but he just kept going. I rolled my window back up put my hand up cause he kept going because I was honestly scared. I was crying after and was worried he was going to follow me after the light changed.
I can’t get over the fact that a grown man went out of his way and got out of his vehicle and confront me a 20 yo girl like that ..
I wish I reacted differently or got his plate but sadly was so thrown off as this never has happened to me I didn’t know what to do.. like I wonder do people like this feel embarrassed or regret after at all lol?
