New Rules
Due to the ongoing issues with certain users who have been repeatedly banned only to return with new accounts, the sub will now have stricter participation rules. Newer, unestablished accounts will no longer be able to post until they’ve built up enough karma elsewhere.
i didn’t want to go this route. I was hoping this sub could engage in mature (if sometimes snarky) talk about the issues facing the company, and I didn’t want to exclude new users. But clearly that’s not working due to a few bad apples that can’t seem to help but eventually resort to antisemitic or homophobic or just generally nasty commentary.
So, in summation: fuck those dickheads, they’re gone. And if you’re one of them, if you cross the line again you won’t be able to jump right back in the pool after getting banned.
On a related note, to those who remain, please resist the urge to report comments simply because you disagree with them or think the poster is annoying. That’s not actually helping, and is only making more mod work.
Thanks, all. Take care.

Scavenged from the store at closing. I think there were several unused ones left over. And why not? Healthy habits begin at home. :)

Co workers
Are there any co workers from Rite Aid you still miss working with? You can give first names only.
For me, its Dave and Marie. Marie was the coolest. Dave made the place amazing to work at til he quit. All i'll say about Marie (dont ask me for details) is she made a decision and got fired. Dave and Marie never met. They worked at Rite Aid at different times.

Drinks
I am trying to remember what Rite Aid's store brand of tea that used to come in small bottles was. I want to say it was Big Win i"m not sure. The Tea with lemon was sooooo good and tasted like the iced tea I grew up with. The drink also came in unsweetened tea, lemonade, strawberry lemonade and blue Raspberry lemonade. It was an 18 Oz or 20 Oz bottle.

Does anyone know what company made these?
That last year or so when they switched the private label to refreshery brought cans of this into our stores cooler, I remember being fond of sneaking out of the pharmacy and grabbing a couple cans. (One time I single handedly made us out of stock like four days after truck. Oops.)
To anyone who maybe worked at a warehouse or just in the know, what company made these? I'm dying to find it again.

Anniversary
Its been one year since my Rite Aid closed. I have found a new job way less stressful, better benefits and better hours. I would still rather be working at Rite Aid with my team, my customers, lousy hours and terrible management. Anybody else feel this way?

Empty
Drove by my old rite aid I use to work at. Ours still has the registers. Who is responsible for that? Like doesn’t rite aid want their stuff back? Obviously I know they are shut down but still. I also found it off 6-7 months before they announced a shut down. They redid the pharmacy and even replaced the icecream counter freezer I always thought that was a good sign. Apparently somone was just signing off on shit lol

That was good stuff
I have two tubes left. The jasmine was mmmmm good. I suppose the same formula might be sold somewhere under a different brand name?

Rite Aid/Disney Training Song from ~2018
About 8-9 years ago, Rite Aid implemented a huge training program with the help of Disney. Disney even created a song for the program, which does not appear to be anywhere on the internet. Rite Aid sent trainers to each store and they played the song for us and went through the new training program. Anyone here remember the song or happen to have a link to it?
SOLVED: see comment below from u/cvxtlyn — I thought it was Disney but turns out it was just a cut-rate jingle company based in Orlando. Totally forgot about the “dance floor” terminology too 😹😹😹

Longshot request- a RiteAid sign
Hey! My family has had a long running gag/tradition of getting my mom a Christmas gift from rite aid. I know it is a longshot, but the rite aid stores near me have closed and I’d like to find a way to get one final gift, a rite aid store sign.
Is there anyone who knows who to contact to get a store sign? I’m more than happy to sort out any details, but I think this would be a wonderful/hilarious final gift
Thanks all for your help!

List of stores that were sold in bankruptcy and remain pharmacies
I made this list to keep track of stores on the west coast turning into CVS. Then I read through the bankruptcy paperwork and figured out the east coast stores. This only applies to the second round of bankruptcy.

Miss it
Nothing crazy … Was in “Gabe’s” earlier and they had a ton of old Rite Aid stuff. Some Simplify hand soap, obviously some Ryshi stuff, some other stuff … Snagged some face wash ($1.19 a piece) & some of the Rite Aid Working Hands lotion too for $1.49 a piece… Felt a little nostalgic & made me miss working there a little hahahah. Hope you are all doing well.
