Just wanted to share our upgrades to our wedding rings for our 15 year anniversary this year, and give some necessary praise to Hera Fine Jewelry for AuDHD/neurodivergent individuals needing a trusted word.
I originally couldn’t fathom wanting to “update” the rings you married with. However, mine was a basic tungsten band and hers was a 10k white gold 3 stone (1ct total) diamond ring. Sadly, mine no longer fits after weight loss, and hers has become lost due to several moves of apartments and finally buying our permanent home.
So for this particular anniversary, we decided to do something big and go with a total overhaul. After much searching and comparing, we went with Hera Fine Jewelry. Hers is a bespoke combination of their Alexander and Bypass designs that make it both look like the ring vines & encompasses the stone from the top, then the housing appearing slightly like a rose from the side. Mine is just their Shubhra customized with her matching Alexandrite baguette. Both are set in 950 Platinum, to avoid white gold maintenance & keeping that permanent silver appearance but with some heft. They are absolutely beautiful in multiple light sources, going from a deep blue, to turquoise, green, burgundy, and deep purple based on the light and source. Their comfort fit selections have a flat fit on the inside, not rounded like others, so if you have a comfort fit that feels a little loose when rounded inside, their same size comfort fits will fit more snuggly. Going smaller may be a little tight. I am a 7 who tried a 6.5 (coming from a rounded comfort fit Trident tungsten ring) and had to resize back to a 7. It now fits perfectly.
Hera was an amazing group of people; going from just asking a question, to a full on customization process with no pressure or hidden meanings. I am AuDHD, and clarity/trust are a very big part of my need for information. I cannot express enough how hopeful everyone was through all of this, even up to delivery and requiring a slight size change for mine. They are like friends who want you to be comfortable the whole time. If you need that in deciding something as precious and expensive as these can be, they have my approval for others with Autism and ADHD; you will not feel uncomfortable with them. They completely understood my needs. They are big supporters of LGBTQ+ & absolutely have my upmost respect for those with neurodivergence. Hopefully this helps those like me that want to find someone they can trust.
