Surgery is in September and I'm terrified. What do you all recommend to help healing and after effects? I've already made an appointment with another doc but was told there was likely nothing needed.

Success Story 3 month Tesa body re-comp

Post image
0 Upvotes

During my cut on Reta I felt I was falling victim to being skinny fat so I decided to add tesavand ipa to re-comp and attempt to build some muscle while cutting down. I'd like to say it's been successful and i'm more confident looking in the mirror than when I started Tesa. The sleep and recovery has also been phenomenal. I love this pep for it's ability to help retain muscle mass in the cut and may even stay on after I get off Reta. Anyone else seen great results with these two compunds?

Discussion Stop me from using Ru58841

I’m losing hair and the only option I’m seeing is Ru58841. I’m on minoxidil but it’s just not enough. I don’t find 5ar blockers like fin and Dut to be suitable for me as I am still fairly young and need DHT. I know Ru58841 has terrible side effect stories but I am still considering it, thoughts?

Research They have pussies for a reason.

Why do girls make such a big fuss over petty things like periods? I think period pain is way too overrated. I've endured more pain in a single gym session than they endure in a week. What a bunch of pussies they are, demanding attention, care, and chocolate. I mean, WTF is wrong with you? You're not a kid anymore.

Discussion The GLP-1 eating disorder overlap is now showing up in the data, not just anecdotes

WSJ ran a piece on people who used GLP-1s for weight loss and later ended up in treatment for anorexia:

 https://www.wsj.com/health/wellness/glp1-anorexia-wegovy-mounjaro-1bf4035c

Worth reading alongside the primary literature from the past few months, because the reporting is no longer just anecdotal.

A JAMA Psychiatry survey published this summer (Levinson and colleagues) recruited 436 people with diagnosed eating disorders in 2025 and asked about GLP-1 use. Just over 32% reported having ever used one, and 22% reported current use. Broken out by diagnosis, a little over 50% of participants with binge eating disorder reported use, about 42% of those with atypical anorexia nervosa, roughly 30% of those with ARFID, over 25% of those with bulimia, and about 11% of those with anorexia nervosa. Roughly 10% obtained them through online providers prescribing compounded formulations. Over 10% reported misuse, defined as taking more or less than prescribed, using longer than prescribed, tampering with injection equipment, or sharing without a prescription.

The authors described the weight loss market as a rapidly evolving risk environment for this population.

Summary of the findings:

 https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/many-eating-disorder-patients-using-glp-1s-2026a1000lym

In April, NEJM published a perspective by Amanda Banks raising the same concern from the prescribing side. She noted the share of GLP-1 prescriptions written for people who were not diabetic, obese, or overweight rose from 4.5% in 2018 to 17% in 2023, and argued for consensus recommendations to protect people with existing or emerging eating disorders. A 2023 FDA analysis found misuse reports for semaglutide were roughly four times higher than for other GLP-1 drugs.

NEJM perspective:

 https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMp2600300

Clinician-side reporting describes the same pattern from treatment centers, including patients presenting at very low BMI while still dosing.

NPR, February 2026: https://www.npr.org/2026/02/04/nx-s1-5677633/glp-1-obesity-wegovy-zepbound-eating-disorders-anorexia-bulimia

MindSite News, May 2026: https://mindsitenews.org/2026/05/29/glp-1-access-a-problem-for-people-with-eating-disorders/

The mechanism cuts both ways, which is part of why this is hard to legislate around. A 2025 systematic review and meta-analysis found GLP-1 agonists reduced Binge Eating Scale scores by about 8 points, though the pooled sample was only 182 participants across five studies and heterogeneity was high. WSJ also covered that side on July 13 in a piece on clinicians treating certain eating disorders with these drugs. The same appetite and reward suppression that helps in binge-type presentations appears to reinforce restriction in people with a restrictive history. Same drug class, opposite clinical valence depending on phenotype.

Meta-analysis: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s40519-025-01720-9

Penn Medicine's eating disorder program has said outright that no protocol exists to screen for eating disorders before prescribing GLP-1 receptor agonists. That gap widens with telehealth and disappears entirely outside a clinical relationship.

Been on the Reta for a few months, everything has been epic after finally finding a trusted supplier. Lost alot of fat but the first few weeks were tough.

I felt nausea, fatigue and didn't go the bathroom normally at all.

All I can say is, if this is you - it will pass. Just be kind to yourself, be patient, and don't trust farts!

Discussion HGH & How fear mongered it is

can we talk about how much fear mongering there is of human growth hormone? a lot of people say it can fuck up your hormones, some say it will enlarge your organs and make you look like a neanderthal, and some say 4-6 IU's is the max, when all of these statements are factually incorrect generally speaking.

Discussion Should we move up from 1 mg?

My friend and I have both been on 1 mg of reta for 5 weeks, and we’ve both been losing weight consistently with minimal side effects. We’re happy with our progress so far.
Would you recommend increasing the dose at this point, or staying at 1 mg as long as it’s still working? For those of you who stayed on 1 mg longer, did your weight loss continue, or did you eventually hit a plateau?
I’d love to hear your experiences before deciding whether to increase.

Question My hormone levels are dropping: I need a roadmap to take action

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

I’m currently struggling with severe, long-term depression. I’ve been in counseling and treatment for about six years, but progress has stalled. I recently compared my current lab results with those from one year ago, and the findings are concerning.

June 2025: Total Testosterone 4.490 ng/mL, Free Testosterone 13.59 pg/mL
June 2026: Total Testosterone 3.540 ng/mL, Free Testosterone 10.08 pg/mL

This is a clear downward trend in my levels over the past year. My current doctor is passive, dismissing it as 'within the normal range,' but I refuse to ignore this decline.
Since I am unmarried and deeply concerned about fertility, I need practical advice on how to take control of this—independently of my doctor's

  1. Natural Optimization: Are there effective, evidence-based methods I can implement on my own (lifestyle, supplements, specific dietary protocols) to naturally boost these levels and improve my condition without waiting for medical intervention?
  2. Fertility-Sparing TRT: If natural methods prove insufficient, what specific TRT protocols (such as incorporating hCG or other agents) should I be researching or demanding? I want to treat my hormonal deficiency while fully mitigating the risk of infertility.

I am ready to take proactive, informed steps on my own. I would appreciate any advice or shared experiences from those who have successfully navigated this path despite a lack of professional guidance.

Stack Advice Semaglutide + MOTS-c

I’m currently taking Reta, I started for inflammation from pcos and results have been fast and great. However my heart rate during even light cardio and sometimes lifting is through the roof. I’m thinking about switching to sema for sugar cravings and mots-c for energy and metabolic. Anyone else stack these too? I’m a little concerned with both on board there is a higher risk of hypoglycemia.

Discussion Training and Reta- advice please

I’ve been on mounjaro for about three months and although it has worked it has now stalled. I’m on a 5mg dose. The food noise is back with vengeance and I am really struggling with it, sure I can increase the mounjaro but it is too expensive for me.

I currently train bjj/ Muay Thai/ mma, plus gym session too. My activity is high though my intake has always obliterated and deficit I create. I’m currently sitting at 100kg and have been stuck here for ages.

I’ve just ordered some Reta that should be arriving in the next few days. My question is how will this affect my training moving forward?

Discussion Will Reta decrease running performance?

Hi, I’m a 20F looking to lose about 5 kg using retatrutide. I’m a long-distance runner and have completed multiple marathons, so running is a big part of my life, but I’m aiming to lean out slightly.

I took my first injection about a week ago and have already noticed a drop in my running performance, especially a slower pace. From what I understand, this can happen due to factors like increased heart rate, reduced calorie intake, and lower glycogen stores.

My question is whether this is just temporary while I’m on the medication, or if it could have longer-term effects. Once I stop retatrutide after a few months, is it likely that my performance will return to baseline or even improve, or could this dip in performance carry over?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone with experience or insight on this.
