I get that new champions drive hype, but the game would be healthier if the devs paused champ releases for a bit and focused on the early to midgame gearing wall.

I play pretty casually on an iPad, usually in short breaks, and the thing that makes me close the app is not the lack of champs. It is feeling like 90% of my energy turns into a pile of 5 star rare boots with flat stats. You can have a decent roster and still feel stuck because progression is gear gated in a way that is not fun. It just becomes time plus RNG.

The worst part is that this pushes people to chase more champs because gearing the ones you already have feels unrewarding. More champs do not fix it, they just create a bigger backlog of half built units.

What I would rather see:

- Better early access to usable gear, even if it means limited sets or capped stats

- More meaningful crafting and selective rerolls so farming does not feel like gambling

- A clearer onramp from campaign gear to dungeon gear without needing insane luck

I am not saying make the game easy. I am saying make it less demoralizing so building one solid team feels achievable before the game expects you to build five.

Where do you land on this? If you think new champ releases should still be the priority, what would you change to make gearing feel less like a brick wall?

When we keep saying that we hate Live Arena because we can't get a fair, fun match that would be worth playing, this is precisely what we mean. Why would we be bothered to do anything more than bare minimum when it's all a scam for top accounts to get their rewards easier. Even the CCs are doing it because they don't want fair matches against equal accounts.

And that's fine. It's how Plarium wrote the game (terribly) and completely within the rules. But don't think any of us will be ashamed when we play the game to our benefit, too.

PS- Down vote all you want. But the better thing to do is go put in an email or a ticket to Plarium and tell them how much Live Arena sucks. That might actually accomplish something.

The rewards are pretty sweet. What I do to get 5 wins is to tank at least 3 games before entering into the challenge. Helps getting easier opponents when playing in the challenge. I’m FTP and have gotten the top prize so far every time.

Totally didn't expect to win this one, I guess thats the power of mythicals against lockout.

Win streak chest is just like 5 win chest where leggo book is a dream , same here 2 chest and not a single limited rewards, plarium gaslighting again , they just want players to participate in a LA with a dream of getting those mythical book and relic material (i do appreciate gems though )

I’ve been having this build ever since I’ve got him as my first legendary ever and I want to see other peoples build for him because it’s time for me to make a new build for him as a tank support.

The reason why I build him as lifesteal tank/nuker is because he used to deal a lot damage and get health that he’ve lost and always had consistent health. Since then, I’ve learned how to build my champions better and I need health support from him to his allies.

Gnut has not appeared in my soul shop since the fusion.....funny that...

Now that the new Live Arena 5-win streak rewards are here, I've changed how I'm using my tokens.

Instead of playing every available match, I've been doing this:

• Win my first 5 matches (to get the streak chest)
• Then intentionally forfeit the remaining tokens
• Repeat the next day

The idea is that after securing the rewards you actually care about, lowering your rating seems to produce much easier opponents the following day, making another 5-win streak much more achievable.

For context, I've played over 9,600 Live Arena matches with roughly a 57% lifetime win rate, and a large portion of those losses are intentional forfeits. I've been using this approach for quite a while during off-seasons because it's a much more efficient use of time.

With Mythical Gemstones now tied to these streak rewards, this feels even more valuable than grinding rating for me.

On the flip side of this when FF'ing it could in turn help another player reach that 5W, Should be Win Win situation if more players do this

In truth I knowingly overextended myself to get Varkos, I'm pleasantly surprised that I still have so many gems left after him.

I can probably do the fusion if I push myself, I could burn all the mysteries or spend gems on ancients and force it through, or I could get lucky with my clan boss chests, but I'm definitely not prepared for it.

Hello I am relatively new to the game, I've been playing for a couple weeks. I am now in the Brutal phase of the campaign trying to get 3 stars on it all. I am using Elhain at level 60, fully ascended, and Vallaryn at level 60 fully ascended. I'm coming up against monsters and bosses that are level 80-100. How am I supposed to beat them if there is no way to level pass 60?

Any good team comps for spider den and other teams for various activities? I've spent too much on this so starting over is not an option. Also maybe some farming ideas and gear suggestions and silver acquisition methods that r FTP

I'm trying to get more consistent Hydra runs (Normal and Hard) but things fall apart whenever my speed lead gets swallowed or provoked early. I get the basics from guides (provoke Head of Decay, block buffs, cleanse, mischief tank, etc.), but most team lists assume a reliable speed aura or very specific legendary kits.

Can you recommend Hydra team cores that are reasonably stable on auto even if you lose the aura, and explain why they work? I'm not looking for a full roster review. More like: "if you have X plus Y, build around them like this." Short, practical cores are ideal.

What I can move gear around on right now:

- Provoke options: Rector Drath (not a provoke but sustain), Maulie Tankard, Visix

- Block buffs / control: Uugo, Wythir, Umbral Enchantress

- Cleanse / support: Doompriest, Reliquary Tender

- DPS options: Royal Guard, Geomancer, Husk

I'm currently 2-keying Normal, but my damage swings a lot depending on turn order. I would love suggestions for champs worth building next (epics and legendaries) for more stable Hydra clears, plus any key stat targets or build priorities that make auto safer (resist versus accuracy, who to put in reflex, etc.). Its off season. Arena doesn't even matter. Due to gap in resets, for easy 5 win streak chests, just quit 10 in a row on purpose. More if you want. Then win streak reset...bam easy fights. Youre welcome. The more you lose in a row, the easier the fights.

The way I see it, if another player matched against me, they have a 50/50 shot to win, in 2 sec too during off season vs sub 25% chance to win during LA seasons, and I get the shot to get mythical gem myself, that's a win-win in my books........

Being an end game f2p player with no time and trying to be optimal is apparently really hard, plarium needs to overhaul their system bad😞

- kill UNM and NM CB,

So I'm f2p and pretty new, only just hit level 45 and only earned 3 void shards I think so far. I've only gotten extremely crappy rare champs from it so far. You'd thik they'd make the rare champ pool for void shards better yea? Anyone else have this kinda bad luck so far?

Players doing the 5-Win Streak are matched in the regular Live Arena queue, so it’s possible to help each other.

Your first win is almost guaranteed.
Lose 3 Live Arena battles before activating the streak. Your first opponent will most likely be a bot.

Don’t change your nickname. It costs gems. Instead, players suggest using the rarest avatar in the game as a signal.

If you see a player with this avatar in Live Arena, they are probably doing the 5-win streak and need the chest. If you’ve already claimed your rewards, consider giving them the win.
