I inherited an old EOTech 512, that turns out was part of their recall from years past. Unfortunately I found this out because the sight had been left with Alkaline batteries in it, which corroded and exploded in the battery tray. After emailing back and forth with them, their proposed solution to the issue, rather than fixing the sight and sending it back to me, was to offer me a 50% discount on a new sight. I'd love to have an EOTech in the stable, but I'm well aware they've had some issues recently with QC. Was curious if the EXPS-3s are GTG or whether I should be looking at another model? I need a sight that I can use on a B&T SPC-9 PDW, would like NVG capability, don't particularly need BDC reticle.

Im looking for a Individual med kit that i can put or the back of my duty belt for work that has everything i will need but does not cost 300 dollars. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Recently, I found a LBT-1961A in UCP for what seems like a pretty good price (approx. $60 for the rig itself). I know UCP isn’t exactly the most beloved camouflage pattern by the community, seeing people straight up dye their UCP gears into EMR ones, but I’m more interested in the gear itself than the camo.

From what I’ve seen, the UCP version is probably the most obscured variant out of all, the search results only lead me to a website outlining how he got a UCP 1961. Thus here I am, trying to decide if it’s worth picking up, or if I should just wait for a Khaki/MC one, or even a split-front one.

So a few questions here:
Does the UCP version of 1961 holds any value nowadays, or is it just considered a “hard pass”?
If you owned one, how would you build a kit around it so it doesn’t just look like a giant gray blob? Would you run it with other UCP stuff? Or pair it with Multicam, Ranger Green, CT, or something else?
I’d really appreciate seeing photos of your setups if anyone has one.

Getting my first plate carrier after getting previous feedback. Have saved up and have the budget to get a high-end plate carrier. I have been training with a chest rig for a few months and have worn a couple other people's plate carriers to get some feedback—but I acknowledge I don't know a lot.

Anyways, below is the build I was going to go with. I understand the plates I picked are potentially excessively expensive, but I was hoping to go with the "optimal" choices within my budget. Would rather just buy the plate carrier and run it with the same carrier and plates for the very long future and not buy anything else (did so with a Spiritus chest rig and been very happy with it).

Anyhow, below is the build. To answer the logical first questions: 1) live in a southeastern urban-ish city 2) am in-shape and have ran around with plate carrier, 3) have a war belt with a drop pouch and IFAK + TQS and 4) have the basics down and have a separate budget to support that (ammo, have rifle, medical, etc.).

Recently I came across Rarog, a gear manufacturer, and their gear looks surprisingly well-made. It got me wondering what other underrated brands deserve more attention.

Small batch issued to marsoc, not quite sure on the sale of production but i know the project is already canceled. Forgeline 3s combat set, never though it would be a thing, nor think it would ever be in my hands. Gotta find the pants now and maybe trade the top for a small, but just have this is plenty cool enough. If anyone has more info on these, let me know.

I've made a post couple months ago about my LBE belt, this is the progress I've made on it

The belt's specifically made for 24h patrols, 7 magazines, 2nd IFAK, plenty of storage for situational/section gear (GPMG ammo, Tarp, additional water etc.)

Plate carrier is another 7 magazines and main IFAK + main cargo.

So far i've been satisfied with the gear, but It's still far from done
I'm going to get 4 grenade pouches, 2 for the belt and 2 for the PC

For anyone curious, the Haley belt is right around 1.8” wide on the overlapping molle laminate and 1.7865 on the narrower areas. Their website says 2” width under the product spec and I was wondering why it was so loose on the 2”safariland belt mount. Blue alpha 2” molle duty belt for comparison

Wondering if anyone here has experienced this. The front left post on my Comtac V slides a whole lot more easily than the others, to the point where it affects fitment since it always just becomes fully extended when on my head. It happens with both the OEM mic post and aftermarket post I use when not running the boom. So I guess it may have something to do with the metal rod that sits inside the post, but I’ve pulled it all the way out and nothing seems to be damaged. Any suggestions?

I am looking for a water bottle that will fit in a 152 pouch when I don't have a need for a radio. The Qore Iceflasks are designed for it, but I am looking for an alternative that might be lighter and/or hold more water.

I placed an order for a holster on July 15, and it's still stuck in Processing. The order confirmation email said processing usually takes 48–72 hours, but there hasn't been any update at all.

I originally planned to order from Safariland, but I chose Haley Strategic because I thought they'd ship faster.

Is this normal for Haley Strategic? How long did it take for your order to ship?

Anyone have any initial experience with the Shaw SLOK to share? Been running a LV120, love it. Used to have a Shaw but hated their cummerbunds and I’m not a big fan of the Equinox (very little stretch). Might try one out again if the SLOK system gets good reviews. I’m not really interested in the modularity with chest rigs, etc. as I’ve generally found that to be more of a party trick than something I actually use. Looking for any feedback strictly from a plate carrier perspective.

I work Civ side as a first responder in a rural area, and often times additional units take 30+ minutes to arrive. We’ve been encountering a lot of calls where we have someone pinned in a house screaming for help and had to wait for additional resources to help make entry. My department just approved us to carry entry tools, and issued us the Ruhl Tech Houly Tool, Sledge, and Bolt Cutters. My main issue is finding out how to best store them for use. Currently they’re just sitting in a side compartment on my unit rolling around. Anyone suggest a good bag or pack or strap to hold them all together for use?

1. Looking for a placard for my DM MEPC. I love the Haley D3CRM but they don't make woodland. Worst case scenario I swap my V1 Unobtanium for the V2 but I'd still prefer Velcro/Molle up front. Or I grab a D3CRM and cut the side buckled off. Suggestions? Do I just add SLEDS inserts to the Shaw (even though it doesn't have Velcro or got with the V2 OG - I hate the look of the V1)

2. I love the Haley placard (minus the Velcro being ungodly crooked on the admin pouch) but I hate the X harness vs the Spiritus H harness. I'd prefer not to lose my 🍑 making these transitions.
