My favourite song from Shrines is amenamy and whilst I hadn’t discovered the band yet when this album was released, it’s since made me really appreciate their whimsical, haunting songwriting and diverse range of synths and textures!

Hello! First off, I'm new here. I've been listening to soshy right now and I'm very curious how people interpret the lyrics. No one has added anything on Genius, so I decided to come to reddit to see if people have interpreted the song in their own way. Let me know. :)

I have liked Purity Ring a long time but mostly listened to their popular songs, not full albums. I bought their recent album on vinyl and loved it, and went to their recent show in Toronto. A couple pf my new favorites having left the show:

Pink Lightning - just wow. Hearing this first time combined with the hologram setup was amazing (even though one of the fans glitched out during the song).

Repetition - i clearly need to get another eternity

I was the only one who waited at stage door for a photo with Purity Ring at the London gig recently and ended up with an experience I’ll never forget!

Such a kind and genuine band. Even took their time to have a brief chat too! Makes being a fan for over 10 years even more worth it.

Also had a chat with Yuni (Yuniverse), who was genuinely interested in what I thought about the show and how lucky we were to see this specific one with all of the production and visual effects planning that went into it.

The impact of the entire evening still hasn’t quite sunk in yet and the VIP experience before the show was so special and intimate.

I hope they come back soon and I wish them all the best for future projects and shows!

I swear, Purity Ring are up there with someone like Banks in being so massively underrated. What take an act to the next level is artistry and creativity. Michael Jackson wouldn’t have hit the peak he did if he was just a singer. Kanye wouldn’t be this unstoppable force purely on the strength of his music.

Purity Ring have really put in the work. Their videos are so good, but since discovering ‘Begin Again’ last week, man that video is incredible. Any thoughts on what it’s about? Clearly themes of life, death and rebirth but very surreal and abstract.

I love videos like this. They’re what made me become a videographer. Because, it looks stunning and has all the presence of a movie in how it spikes your imagination, but all contained in this three minutes of wonder.

I've been listening to Fineshrine for years. Always loved that track, but then never followed it up. Then I saw they were playing in London...

Now years and years ago they were just like most other niche electronic acts and the live gig never really met the level of the record. So I'm expecting a crowd of 100 people in some backroom...

I get's to Outernet, venue is super high spec, and then I see they have a bunch of what I thought was fans of stage to blow cold air at the crowd given its the middle of a hot summer. Then they come on stage, the fans are still there, and they start performing 'Many Lives', and when the crowd discoverd they werent fans but rather hologram generators, the whole crowd (of about 1000 people), were like "woah!". Honestly one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Loved every second of it. Mind blown.

So, I want to do some catching up but they've done a lot of work. What are 5 tracks that I really need to hear. Some favourites right now are 'Begin Again', 'Many Lives', 'Lemonlime' and 'Water Song'... What am I missing?

I had a great time seeing them in London! Call it cringe, but I like filming stuff on my 3DS.

Really looking forward to the London show tonight! Will be the second time seeing PR since 2015 when they played Roundhouse (I was too young to stand so was in the seating area with my dad!)

I really enjoy listening to their songs, but I don't know most of their lyrics by memory (at most 4 songs). I mostly like the sounds and visual aspects of the live shows. Should I go anyway? Also I don't know anyone to go with anyway.
