I'm specifically looking for an individual because I've had a pretty unpleasant experience with a commercial rental service before. The vehicle I rented had multiple unpaid challans, and I was stopped by the traffic police and had to wait until the owner arrived. It turned into a huge hassle, so I'd prefer not to go through rental companies again.

A little about me:

- I've been riding a scooty for the past 12 years.

- I lived in Pune for around 8 years before COVID, so I'm very familiar with the city's roads and traffic.

- I have a valid driving licence.

- I'm currently staying in a PG near Symbiosis, Senapati Bapat Road.

If you're staying around SB Road, FC Road, or nearby areas, we could make it convenient for both of us. For example, I can collect the scooty around 12 PM and return it by around 9 PM each day. I'm also happy to meet at a mutually convenient location.

Hi Pune folks. I recently moved to the city and am stuck in a highly stressful financial trap with a broker, and I really need some local advice.

​My two friends and I finalized a 3BHK. We paid the token/security deposit to the owner and the full brokerage fee to the broker.

​However, due to an emergency, we had to back out before the Leave and License agreement was signed or registered. The documentation was never completed.

​We fought with the owner and managed to get our security deposit back (with an 8k deduction), but the broker is completely refusing to refund the brokerage.

​She has stopped talking to us properly, ignores calls, and just bluntly says, "I will only give it back when the flat gets booked by someone else."

​Since the agreement was never executed, no actual service was provided.

We are young professionals just starting out, and losing this money is putting us in an extreme financial crisis.

We have to vacate our current temporary setups in 2 days and are strapped for cash.

I recently moved to Pune and into a 2BHK with my husband and his brother. They already had a maid, and after living here for a few weeks, I'm honestly shocked.

She gets ₹11,000/month to cook and clean. (3 people, 2bhk)

When I moved in, the kitchen was filthy—grease on the cabinets, dirty backsplash, dust everywhere, and things hadn't been properly cleaned in months. She would only do very superficial cleaning. The hall wasn't set, pillows were never arranged, bathrooms were barely cleaned (just water thrown on the floor), and deep cleaning was never done. When she'd see me clean shed say "arre didi ye last week saaf kiya tha" 🙄🤬

Cooking was another issue. Everything was rushed on high heat, so food was often slightly burnt. It's not even complicated—mostly egg bhurji, paneer, chicken, rice and chapatis.

I ended up reorganizing the entire kitchen myself, cleaning everything, setting up the masalas, making a cleaning schedule, and showing her exactly how I wanted things done.

Another thing that concerns me is groceries. Things like chilli powder and ghee seem to finish much faster than they should. For example, I bought a fresh 200 g packet of chilli powder, and within a week she asked for another one. I can't prove anything, so I don't want to accuse anyone, but it definitely feels odd.

My main question is:

If you're paying around ₹11,000/month in Pune for cooking and cleaning a 2BHK for three people, how long should the maid realistically spend in the house each day?

Mine rushes through everything and leaves quickly, which is probably why the quality is poor.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is this normal, or do I just need to find a better househelp?
