Hi everyone! This is a long shot, but I'm hoping someone might be able to help me identify a pub that became one of my favorite travel memories. Back in August 2019, I had a long layover in Dublin. A man at the airport recommended a pub, so I took the airport bus into the city center and got off somewhere in what felt like the heart of Dublin. The pub felt like a 2–3 minute walk from where I was dropped off. I ended up staying until closing, and afterward the bartender and another employee stayed and talked with me until almost 6 a.m. because I was an American traveling alone with a long layover. One of them even walked me about 10–15 minutes to the airport bus afterward to make sure I got there safely. It remains a pleasant travel memory, and I'd love to visit again. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the pub. Here are the details I remember: It felt like a smaller, cozy, traditional local pub, not one of the huge famous tourist pubs. It had multiple rooms, and I vaguely remember there possibly being a downstairs. It stayed open later than many other pubs (around 1–2 a.m.). There were foreign banknotes pinned above the bar (not necessarily covering every wall, but definitely around the bar area). People appeared to have written on many of them. On my walk to the airport bus, I remember stopping at a McDonald's and taking a picture on the Ha'penny Bridge (or another nearby bridge that had love locks on it). The walk back to the airport bus felt much longer than the walk from the original bus stop to the pub. I've attached a couple of (not-so-great) photos from inside the pub in case anyone recognizes the bar layout or the banknotes. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I'd be incredibly grateful for any ideas. This pub represents a fond memory, and I'll be back in Europe next year for my wedding in Italy. I'd love to stop in and thank them if I can find it again.

Thats the whole place. At various points a blacksmiths ans a police station I believe.

Are they actually unopened bottles or are they filled with apple juice or something for display? Just curious

We will be coming there this spring we’re not looking for commercialized we’re looking for where the locals go. We love, good food and music.

Im like 50% done with creating a Irish pub map it is buggy atm but its been a fun build. would like to reach out for some early feedback and swallow some humble pie in the process.

What do we say gang? I love the bald eagle in Phibsborogh, carpe diem in carlow is great, sullivans taphouse in Kilkenny is fantastic as well.

The towers (is that what it’s called?) in Westport is a lovely spot.
