Howdy fellow protofans. I have decided to take it upon myself to build a panther style Mega man helmet. It probably won't be one to one in terms of accuracy but I assure you it will be forged with all the grit, hellfire and elbow grease my hands can muster. And most likely blood because I am a clumsy doofus.

The how.: I am going to probably purchase the closest thing I can to the correct shape of helmet

after finding out my correct size. Probably medium or small. As I am not a very large being. After that I'm lost apart from bolting a bike fender to the top and painting it.

My questions are. How do I safely cut the jawline open?

What do I use to cap the ends with to make it look cool and also be safe.

Same theory with the visor.

The why.: I lost somebody very close to me

and I need something to do with my hands. That's not reaching for a bottle.

Any tips or tricks from the actually proficient crafty folks out there would be most useful.

EDIT Hey guys- I know my hands are filthy. They're covered in sharpie and paint and there's gunk under my nails from scraping stuff. I'm doing a thing right now and my record showed up in the middle of it and I was very excited. Act I is still in the race! Woooo! That's all I can say this week. Nearly impossible to choose at this point.

Could someone who got the baseball tee at the Nashville show give me an idea of sizing? Or even just the shirt brand they used? The website doesn't have a size guide or list the brand of tees they used.

I realized I am a Protomen superfan with a consistent 3000 minutes of listening per year. Im looking to get a cool tattoo that can communicate that I like the band without just getting song lyrics or Mega's helmet.

I dont actually like Megaman games that much. I like the idea of them more than anything. Which is why I like the band ao much (and they just rule)

Does anyone have any cool tattoo ideas they can share? Or share your own Protomen tats!

Ive been a little partial to a "REBUILD/DESTROY" tattoo for the line from the Good Doctor but I dont want to put it on my hands and dont have enough wrist real estate to put them there.

I finally listened to Act III. I've been intimidated out of listening because, how do you live up to 15 years of anticipation? But today I listened to Act I and Act II, so I figured, why not finish the marathon?

Spoilers, though idk if there's anyone here who hasn't heard it yet.

So I remember that the album was released two tracks at a time via Bandcamp. The last song was theorized to be The Fight, because of the song title being teased as starting and ending with T,, only for it to be revealed as "The Fate of Thomas Light.", which ends with the abrupt execution of Light and the end of the album.

It shocked me that it would go like his. How are you going to end the story on the implication that your protagonists have lost after all this time? Does the story really end like this?

Then I realized, That's the point. Are you just going to walk away and accept that the album (or the war) just ends like that, or are you going to do something to change fate?

A few things didn't add up. The tracks were released 2 a time, yet it ends on an odd number. The Fight was said to be an Act III single, but it never made it onto the final track listing.

The intent, I believe, is that you're SUPPOSED to figure out that you must play The Fight after The Fate. You must take action in order to create the "true" ending, just as humanity must save itself and not rely on a hero. Refusing to take the end of the album as prescribed.

The Fate ends very abruptly with a cutoff, unlike Act I and II's fadeout endings. But The Fight ends with a fadeout. I believe that that's a clue that The Fight belongs at the end. I don't think it's a coincidence that "The Fate of Thomas Light" and "The Fight" both fit the T-t name teaser, either.

Is this cope? Yeah probably. But I think it makes a more satisfying ending, both narratively and musically.

tl;dr I believe that the end of Act III is deliberately unsatisfying as a clue to put The Fight at the end yourself, just as humanity must take action to save itself.
