What are the best enclosures for a prairie dog. Something low and deep for burrowing not ferret type cages and where do you order them?

Has anyone experienced a prairie dog repeatedly chewing its own front paws?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for advice because I'm very worried about my prairie dog.
About two weeks ago, it suddenly started chewing one of its front paws until it bled. The wound eventually healed on its own, so I thought the problem was over.
However, it has now started chewing the same paw again. Then, just one day later, it also began chewing the other front paw. It keeps biting even when I'm sitting right next to it, so it doesn't seem like it's only happening when it's alone.
I've already taken it to a veterinarian. They suspect they may need to anesthetize it because it won't cooperate during a proper examination. They want to check for possible injuries, infection, or other medical problems.
Has anyone here experienced something similar with their prairie dog?
- What was the cause?
- Did your prairie dog recover?
- How was it treated?
- Did the chewing eventually stop?
I'm especially interested in hearing from anyone whose prairie dog repeatedly chewed its own paws until they bled.
Any advice or shared experiences would mean a lot to me. Thank you so much.

Video Tasty Tail!

Feet up, butt down, tail .. out? This cutie patootie was enjoying some solo grooming time while the family unit was out exploring the short grass prairie. Proudly posed in front of their recent digging efforts, the prairie dog is bent in half and absolutely getting after those irritating itchy spots on the tail post-excavation.

A picture I took last night of my two babies.
Paxton (left) was very unhappy that I was holding Wesley (right). He had to put himself between me and Wesley to put Wesley in his place. It sounds cute, but it's really not. Wesley will just accept this and get down. Paxton's jealousy is detrimental. I've had to start intervening.

Question my prairie dog seems mad?
i just got my male prairie dog, supposed 2 months old, two ish days ago. and he seems very angry, he begs to get out of his cage. and when i do he just doesn't want anything to do with me. i know i just got him, but i wanted to get some clarification is all!
i'm assuming he's just adjusting to his cage, but i'm not sure. he's scratching the cage, climbing up the bars etc. his tail isn't puffy though.
i gave him some cardboard boxes, chew sticks etc bjt he doesn't seem to care much. he interacts with it for a minute and then goes back to wanting to get out.

URGENT PLEASE HELP – Small pet very lethargic (possible dental pain)
Hi, please help me. My small pet (rodent/exotic animal) in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is very sick.
He is extremely lethargic, keeps his eyes half closed, and looks like he is in pain. I strongly suspect a dental or gum problem.
He ate and drank a little today, but now he is very weak, sleepy, and not acting normal at all.
I do not have access to an exotic veterinarian right now and I am very worried.
