JK Rowling is no friend to anyone and uses rapist language. Bet she'd turn on a cis woman if she looked butch enough.

Don't have to bet, she did that already

She already has multiple times

And why not; for her gender is a performative act, and one that must always adhere to societal norms. Whether or not someone is actually gay or trans is beside the point, all that matters to her is image.

You don’t have to bet, she’s done it multiple times. There was that wrestler or fighter (I think) who was AFAB, lived as a woman all her life but her opponent accused her of being a man to be a sore loser. She submits to gender testing and, lo and behold, turns out she has T levels slightly outside the normal range is technically intersex. Joanne here immediately used the case as a anti-trans cudgel and misgendered her, a woman who had lived all of her life as cis and for all intents and purposes is, repeatedly going as far as to call her a man.

That was Imane Khelif, who admitted in a recent interview to having the SRY gene and taking medication to suppress testosterone. Investigative journalists published excerpts from Khelif's medical file showing XY chromosomes and a sex development disorder that only affects males, where the testes stay inside the body and the penis is underdeveloped but who otherwise go through a normal male puberty with male-typical levels of testosterone.

There have been many males like this in women's sports over the years. See Caster Semenya for example. They get scouted for this specifically by unscrupulous coaches. And obviously it's not fair on female athletes to be competing against male athletes, with all the advantages of male puberty, just because these males happen to have an identity document with the wrong sex on.

Even worse in Khelif's case because then female boxers are being punched with male strength. Anyway that's why it's a women's rights issue and that's why JKR spoke up.

Always has been. Wonder how many people realize the Weasleys are an awful anti-Irish stereotype.

That’s creepy AF.

JK Rowling about to start working for Exploited College Teens.

With this action alone, JKR has done more damage to society than every high school trans athlete combined

There's an upskirt act?

There needed to BE an upskirt act?

The author of Harry Potter is breaking the upskirt act?

Jesus christ man, as silly as it sounds, its stuff like this that made me lose faith in humanity. A billion little straws breaking the camels back.

But, hear me out, you exist and you are part of humanity (the good part) and that is evidenced by your disgust of abhorrent acts. The world needs you. You restored MY faith in humanity with this comment.

Why assume he's the "good part?" For all we know, u/TopSlotScot is the Scranton strangler

8

u/osunightfall 1h ago

That's impossible, because I am the Scranton Strangler.

No, she isn't.

At this point it's impossible to ignore both the blatant awfulness of the HP franchise as well as JK herself being a monster. She needs to be jailed.

Is JKR taking pictures up people’s skirts? O.o

2

u/awesome9001 34m ago

What'd she do this time?

-2

u/argentinonationalist 7m ago

Posting a picture of a trans person is now transphobic

-41

u/scabbityscab 2h ago

JKR didn't violate any anti-upskirting law. Gina Martin even acknowledges this in her tweets.

26

u/brassnuckles8 2h ago

Literally can't even read 🙄

-20

u/scabbityscab 1h ago

Exactly, the title of this post doesn't match the tweets.

23

u/brassnuckles8 1h ago

Sorry, wasn't agreeing with you.

9

u/L0st_B0y13 1h ago

“The title of this post doesn’t match the tweets” LOL HOW SO? 🤣

7

u/brassnuckles8 1h ago

I think they're hinging their argument on the point that she didn't take the image herself. The tweets do acknowledge this and point out that it complicates matters but does not absolve her of prosecution under the law

-7

u/scabbityscab 1h ago

If you read the law itself there is no way it could apply here, nor should it.

Title:

Woman responsible for implementing anti-upskirting law speaks out against JK Rowling violating it

Tweet:

Now, Joanne didn't captured this image and she didn't capture it 'beneath' Freda's clothing, which adds questions about prosecution under the Voyeurism Act

Also, Gina Miller didn't implement this law. She advocated for it.

And it doesn't apply in this case at all.

I've noticed something today (I'm dumb for it taking this long) most of the people, if not all of the people who are anti Trans, also hide their comments. More so I also notice that the people who comment in support of others, tend to not hide their comments. Interesting that.

1

u/uicheeck 7m ago

there are many people who don't bother commenting about jkr because audience is totally losing it and they'll get nothing but downvoting to hell. even this post is good example, people pointing out that jkr didn't violent anything: -15, jkr bad: +20.

There is no discussion, just hate because apparently you should love trans and give up your life for them, no matter what.
See you'll in the land of -200

Name checks out.

Don’t support losers.
