Advice Looking for Advice from Experienced Poly Folks

My husband and I have been together for over 10 years, and after a lot of honest conversations, we've decided we're ready to explore a new chapter together. We're interested in finding an amazing woman to build a genuine connection with—someone who enjoys chemistry, affection, laughter, adventure, and isn't afraid of a little passion. We're not looking for a fantasy or someone to "complete" us. We're looking for a real person who wants to be seen, appreciated, and treated as an equal. We know trust, communication, and respect are what make poly relationships work, and we want to start this journey the right way. For those of you who've been in successful triads or dated couples: Where did you meet your partners? Which apps or websites actually led to real connections? What made you swipe right on a couple? What are the biggest turn-offs when couples are looking? What's one piece of advice you'd give a couple that's just starting out? We're hoping to find someone who's confident, open-minded, affectionate, and enjoys both deep conversations and playful flirting. We know the right connection can't be forced, so we're happy to let things develop naturally. We'd love to hear your stories, successes, warnings, and any advice you wish someone had given you before you started. Thanks for helping us learn!

Discussion Alongside actually being polysexual, is there anyone here who chose to label themselves for simple reasons? (They enjoy the flag color, they like the word "polysexual", it's a simple and easy term, etc.)

Discussion What made you choose to label yourselves as polysexual over other sexualities under the multisexual umbrella?

Discussion Is it valid that the reason why I prefer to call myself polysexual over other labels under the bisexual umbrella is because I like the way "poly" sounds as a word? Sounds silly but I just wanted to share

Advice Figuring It Out

First time posting.

I’m a late comer, so please bear with me. I’m a 62 year-old cis woman. It’s never too late. I’m not sure of the right terminology, so please correct me if I’m wrong. Please don’t take offence. I’m attracted to masculine presenting non binary and queer people and bisexual men. I’m trying to work out what sexuality I am. Gosh, I’m nervous about posting this, but here I am. Am I polysexual or androsexual or something else altogether? Any comments are appreciated.

Art Polysexual flag idea I had

Post image

I felt like the polysexual flag didn't match up with how I feel about polysexuality so I decided to make my own flag. If you don't like it it's fine and if you like the original that's also perfectly fine everybody has their own opinion.

Green represents people who fit gender stereotypes
Pink represents people who defy gender stereotypes
Blue represents our choice to be attracted to some/all/none of one/both

Discussion misunderstanding about this label

hi everyone!

first of all, i want to assure that this post isn’t meant to be taken as an offence!
im just trying to figure this label out, since i have just found about it.

i tried to research the label on various web pages, blogs and such on but honestly, the more i read the less i understand.

what is the exact definition of polysexuality and how do you differ from bisexuality?
a long time ago i identified as bi and fought a lot on online pages/forums as an activist- so im very aware of all the labels and their definitions under the bi umbrella.

but since polysexuality is, by definition, “attraction to various, but not necessarily, all genders” (attraction to multiple genders), isn’t that’s also how bisexuality is structured?

bisexuality is an umbrella, hence it covers labels such as pansexuality and omnisexuality-
the label mostly has various definitions since its fluidity but, as listed on the bi manifesto, the main definition is mostly explained as “attraction to two or MORE genders” (with/without preference >> omni/pan).

so, to me, polysexuality just seems like a direct extension of what bisexuality already is…im sorry if this last sentence came across mean and poorly worded, that’s why im posting this to make sure to understand this better.
im just very confused about this.

thank you for reading up to this point and also,
thank you, in case, for taking your time to reply to explain this confusion to me! :)

hope i didn’t offend anyone, im genuinely trying to understand <33
have good day/night! :p

Other Want to help a queer student out?

Hi there! I am currently a student at Kent State University. For one of my classes, we are proposing and conducting a "pilot study," in other words, a practice run for a real study. I chose to do mine on the question, "Is having access to queer representation in media influential to one’s identity?" I'm here to ask for some participation in my project from LGBTQ+ identifying young adults (ages 18-25). It is an online interview of 6 questions, and it is completely anonymous. If you would like to know more about the specifications of the project, let me know, and I'd be happy to give you more information. I have it linked to this post!

Advice I am beginning to question if I'm not abroalterous and just polyalterous(Questioning)

Thumbnail

Poly alterous meaning the same thing as polysexual but for alterous attraction

The reason I think this is because I am attracted to all genders with the exception of some xenogenders that are gore genders, though I don't know how common this is or if I'd find a label for it

and this makes me wonder if I always was this way but just repressed it or if I will suddenly change in sexuality and go back to abro

Discussion Hello! New into LGBTQ and Polysexuality!

25M here.

Turning point was too much high libido energy which increased in the desire.

About the sexual orientation: I dont like 100% men. Maybe that is the main factor why am i not bi or pan.

I like all types of women though. Normal, trans male to female, trans-feminine, lesbians, alt, queer women, i can be poly, all people from this list are welcomee!

I'm new into polysexuality, I really hope that i am on the right track here since english is not my first language. But i still want to explore myself and my options, im open for advices and friendships around! 🤭
