Shot on 600 converted SX-70

SX-70r. Continuous studio lighting. 100% custom upcycled outfit. Lighting can be difficult (see 2nd pic) because I am shooting in a dark garage right now​. Taking forever to build a good diy set up, but its getting there.

I was on a walk with my mum, younger sister and my dog when we saw a little clearing that lead down to the rivers edge. I decided to experiment and took a shot through the sunglasses I was wearing, this is the result.

Not related to these photos, but have any of you broken your lomo squares for warranty? The bellows are visible in some photos and I contacted the support team. They told me to scratch the lens and rip the back off and that they'll send me a new one.

Managed to snag a used Polaroid 635 and while the first 2 images came out fine, the rest had this yellow band across all images. We also accidentally shot one image with the "lid/hood" closed and even the black image had the band.

Looking at the backside there is a slight visible crease where the band is.

Is this an issue with the camera itself or the film that we used?

I just received a Job Pro2. Without thinking, I excitedly grabbed a new pack of 600 and inserted it into the slot. As soon as I inserted it, the camera started ejecting the darkslide and the rest of the pack. I was able to yank the pack out after the 3rd print was ejected. Stupid me, I should have tried one of my MANY dummy packs first. I then inserted the dummy pack, and it did the same thing.

I can say this about those old Polaroid cameras, they're like a Lottery ticket, you're really excited to scratch the ticket, but the letdown when you don't win is a bummer.

When I open the door and look inside, I do not see any broken or corroded hardware or anything that's out of place. Any ideas on how I can get her to work?

Edit: I type film with a Polaroid flip, I can’t figure out why the photos turned out so overexposed and pink even if the film itself not expired

I've always wanted a Polaroid instant camera. Newer models don't look nice and I always loved the square form factor of the older cameras. I read that the 600s series still gets its paper film so I decided to buy the one pictured. Can someone tell me please which one exactly do I need for my Supercolor 670 AF?

I'm working on a new series of cyanotype prints and I want to sandwich the main images with the frame of a Type 55 negative (sample attached). I found a stock shot that I'm using for a test, but I'd love to work from actual polaroids.

I'll be cutting out the actual image and just keeping the frame. Does anyone know where I can get some used negatives for this project?

When I’m testing my cameras, I walk around my neighbourhood and often times in the alleyway there’s basketball rims. There’s so many that I have and maybe there’s a book but I just gotta say I like how it looks.

I recently ordered Polaroid Go film from Amazon India (twice 😭), and both packs were from 05/2024 production. Since Polaroid recommends using the film within 12 months of production, I'm trying to find a seller with newer stock.

Has anyone bought Polaroid Go film recently and received a 2025/2026 production batch? If yes, where did you buy it from?

Any online or offline store recommendations would be appreciated!

Decided to iType convert a Pronto Sonar I got. Quick and easy. I used a 100pf capacitor for the meter and a 4x AAA battery holder.

The lens is really sharp and I'm really having fun with this one. Fantastic and quite underrated cameras imo, even though the international versions of this one (5000, 4000 etc.) were slightly gutted in terms of features.

I have an unmodified SX-70 camera and a Mint flash bar, that has the "half power" option to use 600 films on SX-70 without any modification.

I was thinking to avoid making the modification (I mean, i will do it eventually, but not right now) and always using the Mint flash at half power.

I have some doubts:

- There are some cases in which is not advised to use a flash? Obviously when it's not permitted (museum or sneaky situations), but also there are cases in which it "ruins" the photo? The suggestion on other Polaroid cameras (as I-2 or 600 box types) is to always use flash.

- Will the 600 compensation works outdoor with plenty of light? And with landscape at infinite focus distance?

it's, a special feeling to take portraits of people with a camera from the 1970s, much less the original polaroid that made formats like instax possible!! . . . . . . gear:

Has anyone here done a capacitor swap on an ITT Magicflash?
I already know the capacitor values need to be reduced to about ¼ of the original when converting it for an SX-70 shooting 600 film. I’m more looking for practical tips from anyone who’s actually done it.
My biggest concern is removing the original capacitors. They’re buried in the case, and the switch assembly is inside, so I don’t want to force anything and break it.
If you’ve done this conversion, I’d love to hear how you got the old capacitors out safely or if there are any tricks before I start. I’ve attached a photo of mine for reference.
