We started our podcast about 4 months ago, we do mainly true crime but also musicians and food influencers from Louisiana. We have about 50k followers on Facebook and 10k on tiktok. We made a media kit and started sending it out to local businesses for paid ad reads but haven't had any luck landing and sponsors. Any suggestions?

I have started a podcast in an area I really care about. It's niche and the audience is likely to be small, I don't expect to ever make money, but I'm passionate about the need to have conversations around this topic.

This is the first content creation thing I've done, compared with the technicalities of work (think engineering).

I'm swinging between excitement to podcast and write and think, then struggling with the tedium of day to day stuff. I'm spending too much time on the podcast, but have episodes booked with guests to record coming up. I'm checking my stats constantly craving to hear what people think.

Is this a phase? Will compartmentalising become easier when the initial excitement wears off?
