I have upcoming interviews for a scientist I role.

I’ve been reading the reviews about the place on glassdoor and they are awful!

Toxic management, favouritism, overworked and overpaid, lack of career progression, poor work organisation, overcrowding and more.

Can anyone confirm this? The reviews gave me the idea that people there are very frustrated.

Having worked in environments like this in the past in other industries, i’m not planning on going through it again, would probably end up telling someone where to stick it.

I know there are a lot of bad experiences working for Regeneron at Limerick as Pharma or lab technicians. I'm in the process of getting hired as part of one of their main services / operation departments for Dublin office (like IT or HR), but not sure what the experience will be like. Do you guys think those upper management issues will be reflected there as well? Not gonna lie, those negative reviews making me nervous.

Couldn't find any experiences about Dublin office. Any thoughts?

I've got about 2 years of experience in pharma/biotech facility design, mostly working on greenfield projects during the Concept and Basic Design phases. Since Ireland is such a major hub for pharma, I'm curious how the industry is holding up there given the current global situation, and whether it'd be worth relocating.

My background is pretty niche, but I think it's a solid, marketable skill set, especially when new pharma facility projects popping up. Does anyone know of companies that specialize in facility design, particularly Single-Use systems, where I could look for opportunities?

I'm currently based in Eastern Europe, though most of the projects I've worked on were spread across Europe and Asia.

If anyone here works in this space, I'd love to hear your take.

Hi all, I’m currently a Chemical Process Operator, hoping to eventually progress my career within the industry and move off the 4on4off pattern.

I would like to do an Engineering degree but there doesn’t seem to be any fully remote/self paced Irish engineering courses.

Quality is also an option but pay scale seems to cap around the 60k mark without moving into management.

Has anyone made the transition from Operator into a different Pharma role that could give some advice or point me in the right direction.

I'm from India and have recently completed my Master's in Regulatory Affairs. I'm currently working as an RAQA Apprentice at one of the world's largest medical device companies.

I'm now looking for a full-time opportunity as an RAQA Associate. However, I've found that it's quite difficult for freshers to break into the field in India, even with relevant education and apprenticeship experience.

I'd really appreciate any advice from experienced RA/QA professionals. How should I approach my job search? Should I focus on networking, referrals, certifications, or something else? Any tips on improving my chances of landing a full-time RAQA role would be greatly appreciated.

looking through Springbaord courses and came across the Aseptic Biopharmaceutical Operations course and Im wondering if anyone here has experience with it? Ive never worked in pharma before but could see myself building a career in it. I have no real background in it and was wondering if it would be a good starting point?

I put down some courses related to this in my cao this year, but im worried I wont land a job in future, im planning to do at least Masters.

I dont really have any connections to this field, and now days all I see is, people cant find jobs unless they have family or close friends in a area they want to work in..

Any tips to bring with me going into college?

Had applied for a contracting role at a company down south. Didn't inquire with my current recruitment company first as I was told before that they didn't recruit for the specific company that I had applied for. Submitted my CV, sent the new recruiter a statement saying that I agree to be represented by their recruitment company etc. Found out a few days later that my recruitment company was also recruiting for the same role. I would prefer to stay with my current recruitment company if that was a possibility, but I'm not sure if it is since my CV has already been submitted. Just wondering has anyone experienced this before and know what to do, or if there's nothing to be done and just go with the new company?

I already applied for a role at MSD, but an employee later offered to refer me. They’re not responding now, so I’m not sure if the referral can still be linked to my existing application.
Has anyone been in this situation? Can MSD add an employee referral after you’ve already applied, or would I need to withdraw and reapply? If so, is withdrawing even possible?

Im doing my B pharma from india and am thinking of shifting to ireland later on for the following course. I want to know if it will be worth it and also a thing or two about the job market..

Hi. I am wondering how I can break into the biotech industry after graduating with my bachelors. I just finished second year of a biomedical science course at TUD. I have done my best to acquire lab experience outside of university. Towards the end of first year, I shadowed a PhD student focusing on cell biology with techniques like cell culture, molecular cloning.This year I am doing a 3 month internship at a good university focusing on genetics and some data analysis. In my third year I will also have a 12 week placement in a lab based setting. What else can I do to ensure I can get a job in biotech. Do any of you recommend I learn how to code and do basic bioinformatics? I was thinking of getting a GMP certification however, they are very expensive. Does anybody have any tips on what else I could do to make myself a more attractive candidate? Any advice would genuinely be amazing.

Hello everyone, I’m thinking to transition into pharma industry. I was planning to study a Lvl 6 in a Spanish College in Lab and Quality Control technician (blended) 120 ects divided in 2 years. I was offered as well through springboard a lvl 6 microcredential in Supply chain (20 ects). I wonder if this last would be enough to get into a entry level. And if I finally decided to pay for the lvl 6 in the Spanish college, do you think it would be possible to get a job (in an entry role) after the first year?

I've been applying to QC analyst roles around the country for the last couple of months after finishing up three years working as a research assistant in academia. I've mostly done cell based work, but also things like ELISA, qPCR, Western Blots etc and I have some decent troubleshooting and data analysis experience.

Tomorrow, I have an introductory HR call with a Dublin-based pharma company about a QC Bioassay role that I think would be a good way into the industry for me but I'm not sure what I should be asking for in terms of salary expectations. My experience does seem relevant but it was in academia and I don't have any industry experience at all. Anybody who had a similar career path or any insights appreciated!

I saw a managerial role in MSD. It would be a sideways move from Alexion. Curious and might want a change of scenery. It's obviously department dependent but does anyone know how the two compare? Is hybrid working possible?
