Question Solar pool heater recommendations

I’m looking to pull the trigger on a solar pool heater soon and would appreciate some insight. If you’ve had solar pool panels installed recently (or even a few seasons ago), I'd love to know:

Who did you use? Would you recommend them? What was the ballpark price you paid?

Thanks in advance for any leads or advice!

Please DM me if you have a further questions on the puppies or email [email protected].

Fostering and adopting both include group classes and resources. Fostering also includes all supplies, vet care while under the rescue, adoption events, and social media coverage!

All dogs will be spayed/neutered for adopters and are already up to date on vaccines and will be microchipped.

The smallest babies will need to be kept inside and away from grass until they have another vaccine round as with any puppies in the Bay Area.

Even temporarily getting your puppy fix will make a world of difference for these babies who have likely never been in a home.

Question Reseller Interested in Purchasing a Bundle?

Hi! I was doing clothing and accessories reselling for a while and have a lot of good stuff. Unfortunately, my full-time job called me back in and I’m overwhelmed with my “death pile” (IYKYK).

Are there any local resellers interested in buying as a lot? I am willing to sell all at a price where you could make a profit. I just want to recoup some of what I spent.

I mostly have women’s clothes and I’m particular about brands and quality - Paige, Hudson, athleisure like Athleta, handbags (Kate Spade, Coach, D&B, etc). Some shoes, a little bit of small home goods and men’s pieces. Some vintage as well.

If you’re interested in seeing more and talking about price, please reach out via DM. Thanks!

Question Monkey

Anyone remember a monkey being in a store in old town? Maybe it was a toy store.

Kinda mean. Threw poo. Not sure why they had it.

Question When does LumaGo service end?

I remember hearing at City Council meeting that it was not being re-funded, but am wondering when service is scheduled to end. I didn't see any anticipated changes noted on website. I work with seniors and want to give them correct info about resources. Thanks.

Question Elementary school recommendations for Quarry Heights family moving to Petaluma

We are relocating to Quarry Heights in Petaluma this summer and our son will be entering 2nd grade. Our assigned school is Grant Elementary, but we were told there may not be space available. Since we're moving from out of state, we're not familiar with the schools or districts in the area. If Grant isn't available, which elementary schools would you recommend and why? Are there particular schools that Petaluma families tend to prefer? Any advice on the enrollment process or transfers would also be appreciated. Thank you!

Local News Petaluma feels like a place where it’s easy to go out but still hard to actually meet people — trying something at Crooked Goat June 9

Hey—I'm hosting a Singles Social Bingo night in Petaluma on June 9 at Crooked Goat Brewing and wanted to share it here in case anyone local is interested.

Petaluma has always felt like one of those places where people are out, but actually meeting new people in a real way doesn’t happen that often.

So this is a simple structured in-person night built around changing that.

Instead of awkward intros or speed dating, everyone gets a bingo card that naturally creates reasons to talk to different people throughout the night.

It’s not about forcing conversations or making it feel like an “event” — it’s just a way to make meeting people actually happen in real life.

If you connect with someone, you can choose to match afterward through the app instead of swapping personal info in the moment.

No pressure setup. Just a straightforward night where interaction actually happens.

Happy to answer questions if helpful.

Local Politics Something big is happening in our county, but it takes a village

The establishment has thrown more than $100k at the District 2 supervisor race to prevent Joanna Paun from being elected, because she is the only candidate who will hold corporations and ICE accountable. Today we take to the polls and show these cronies that democracy and unity will always beat the money machine.

Only one candidate rejects corporate money. Only one candidate has fully committed to stopping Sheriff Engram from collaborating with ICE. Only one candidate has the future of us workers in mind - Paun is the candidate of the people.

Polls close at 8pm - get out there and become part of history in Sonoma County! If we and our neighbors up in District 4 do our part, we will have a 3/5 progressive majority on the board of supervisors!

Question “Local duck” tshirt

Does anyone know if there is somewhere that sells “local duck” kids t-shirts? I saw a kid wearing one at Grand Central and would think that’s something a local shop would sell, but am not sure where to look.

Thanks!!

Question Whatever happened to Faron Bailey of Faron’s BBQ?

Back before COVID around 2017 this black gentleman named Faron Bailey opened an amazing BBQ place on Bodega Ave attached to the market, doing new orleans style BBQ, gumbo, cornbread, all sorts of stuff. Absolutely amazing.

It seemed like an iffy spot in terms of permitting and i’m
not sure it was fully properly licensed. At some point his whole space got flooded and he mentioned reopening but didn’t.

He later served BBQ at Mack’s in Penngrove, and I found something online that showed he also did the same at Old Possum Brewery in Santa Rosa.

But as far as I can tell, he’s not doing anything now.. anybody know if he is still in the area? He did catering too..
