Guide PACG Content Available

From time to time, I see people in different forums asking about PACG content. Often, it's along the lines of, "Is that all there is?" I want to point out how much playable content is available. There is A LOT!

First, there are five full Adventure Paths (APs) in hardcopy form - Rise of the Runelords, Skull & Shackles, Wrath of the Righteous, Mummy's Mask, and Curse of the Crimson Throne (which requires the Core Set).
(The Core Set also has the introductory mini AP The Dragon's Demand.)

Each of the five APs has at least one original Adventure Path for sale in PDF format from Paizo.

Each is a new story with all new scenarios using the cards from one of the APs. Most have images of some new cards which one can either print and try to sleeve over another card, or (as my family did) just use proxies and have a tablet handy with the card images for when you encounter one.

Season 0 (Season of the Shackles) uses Skull and Shackles.
Season 1 (Season of the Righteous) uses Wrath of the Righteous.
Season 2 (Season of the Runelords) uses Rise of the Runelords.
Season 2B (Season of the Goblins) uses Rise of the Runelords.
Season 3 (Season of Plundered Tombs) uses Mummy's Mask.
Season 4 (Season of Faction's Favor) uses Mummy's Mask.
Season 5 (Season of Tapestry's Tides) uses Skull and Shackles.
Year 6 (Year of Rotting Ruin) uses Curse of the Crimson Throne (with Core Set).
Year 7 (Year of Reborn Strife) uses Curse (with Core Set).

For each AP, the PDFs X-1 through X-6 (where X is the season or year number*) are the main AP. The exceptions are Season 2B, which is only levels 1 and 2, and Year 7, which is only levels 1-3.
Scenarios labeled X-0A (Seasons 0 and 1) are optional introductory level 0 scenarios using only the level B cards.
Scenarios labeled X-P (Seasons 1 and 3) or X-7 (Season 4) are stand-alone optional capstone adventures to finish their respective APs.
Scenarios labeled X-P1 and X-P2 are mid-AP optional scenarios (Seasons 4 and 5). These are harder than normal but have nice rewards. I’ve seen characters die in these.

Also on the Season 5 page:
Year 5B The Fangwood Thieves - a stand-alone level 1 adventure using the Core Set

Also on the Year 6 page:
PACS Standalone Adventure #1: A Night at Bloodthorne Manor - a stand-alone adventure playable at any level from 1-4 using the Core Set and Curse

Also available:
We Be Heroes? - Free RPG Day standalone mini-adventure using the Core Set, played at level 1
At this time, I only find the hard copy, not the PDF, for sale.

The following were special mini-adventures meant for multiple tables playing simultaneously at conventions. They can be played as standalone mini-adventures, but somewhat awkwardly, as there are instructions meant for the multi-table format.
#8-00 The Cosmic Captive – uses RotR, played at level 2 or level 5
#9-00 Assault on Absalom – uses Mummy’s mask, played at level 2 or level 5
#10-00 The Hao Jin Cataclysm – uses S&S, played at level 2 or level 5
#6-99 Tyrant of the Harrow – uses Core + Curse, played any level 1-7
#7-99 The Protean’s Prank – uses Core + Curse, played any level 1-6

The following were also mini-adventures meant for multiple tables at conventions, but were meant to be competitive between table rather than cooperative. There are instructions for awarding points rather than traditional rewards for scenario completion.
2018 Open: The Ruins of Bonekeep – uses Mummy’s Mask, played at level 3
2019 Open: All For Immortality – uses Core + Curse, played at level 5
#7-95: The Last Night at Everstand - uses Core + Curse, played at level 2

There is also some excellent fan-created content out there:
Shield of Rannick - full AP using Rise of the Runelords
Bloodlust Corsairs - full AP using Skull & Shackles
God Callers of Sarkoris - full AP using a mix of Skull & Shackles and Wrath of the Righteous
A Plague Upon Baluurad - this post has a link to a full AP using Core Set and Curse
Adventures From Maralag - uses Core Set and Curse; a level 1 adventure, two level 2-3 adventures (called quests) to choose from, and a level 4-6 adventure/quest
Unlife Goes On - a level 4 adventure to follow Year 7

There are also fan-made standalone scenarios and a standalone adventure on the Paizo forums at PACG Tangents

What do you do when making a new character mid-AP?

First, as this is my second post in a row looking for help here I just want to say thanks to everyone who has responded. This isn't exactly a new game and I appreciate that there are still people out there who enjoy and are involved with it!

So, we made it all the way to the second adventure path deck but it finally happened: I died. The rulebook says you stay dead and build a new character, but starting over with all basic cards, no feats, etc and jumping straight into this point in the game sounds like a recipe for pain.

What we're currently house ruling is that the new character has to have the same:

- number of Basic cards

- number of Elite cards

- number and type of feats

Do others do something different? It doesn't seem like there are official rules for this.

In completely unrelated news, fuck villains who hide on Shark Island 😆

Does anyone homebrew ship rules for S&S?

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding but I've been over the ship rules several times and they just don't make sense to me and have been a source of more frustration than fun, yet so many S&S scenarios rely on them that you can't really play without it.

Here are some examples. Maybe I'm just being too pedantic about it, but I really hope that either I'm still misunderstanding or someone out there has developed some clever homebrew alternatives.

"Whenever it is your turn, if your ship is not anchored at a location, you are commanding your party’s ship. All characters at your location are on the ship"

...so we're simultaneously out exploring a location and "on the ship?

...and if I'm at location A and another player is at location B, when my turn ends the ship teleports from A to B?

"When your ship is wrecked... you may attempt the check to repair the ship listed on the ship card"

...meaning play a character with the craft skill or you're boned unless you have the right ally and roll well? Otherwise when you inevitably encounter a much more powerful ship be prepared for everyone to spend a bunch of HP to avoid it being wrecked for the rest of the adventure.

...not that your ship actually has anything to do with how well "ship-to-ship" combat goes, it's really just another bane for one character to face, but with extra bad consequences if you fail.

...and if you succeed, do you get a new cool ship? Not usually! Maybe some booty if you're lucky, but mostly your reward is that your ship was not wrecked. Huzzah.

Does this stuff bother other people, or just me? What have people done about it?

I should add that I really enjoy the game overall. My kid and I play together and we've finished the base path and Wormwood Mutiny and are just starting Raiders of the Fever Sea. Really loving everything, except the ships. 🤷

I'm the guy who ordered the Base Runelords set off Amazon, and asked for help, I now know what came in the box. (It's more than just the base set)

Hello everyone. You all were very helpful on my last post, but many asked me to make sure I knew what was in it and verify the contents since I got it secondhand for $30 off Amazon.

First and foremost I have checked the content lists of Burnt offerings and the base set and the cards are all accounted for.

This is what I ordered

From what I understand, because I have a Sihedron Medallion misprinted with B for base set, I believe it's also the original print run from what I have gathered online.

I don't have the adventure box for burnt offerings, but all the cards are accounted for.

We got Poog

THAT SAID. THIS BOX HAD WAY MORE IN IT THAN JUST THAT.
Aside from a few cards being slight damaged (which is sucky but overall not a complete dealbreaker). This box also had other content in it.

This was also in
And this was also in it

I checked the contents and have all the Character add-on cards and rogue class deck. Everything seems to be in order.
I also got a d4, d,6, d8, d10, d12 and a sharpie in the box.

So with all that accounted for I ask once more for help in knowing where and how to start?

I just ordered Rise of the Runelords pre-owned, is there anything I need to know going in?

Ordered from Amazon

I have a vague idea of some of how the game plays but I have some question.
I plan to play it with my dad cause we've been looking for something to do lately, and he liked OG pathfinder and he likes games like Munchkin and stuff.

I heard this game was like 'Perfected Munchkin', with multiple characters and a lot of content.

Are there any characters to avoid on a first playthrough, and where to start?

Edit: I will update when I get the package sometime between Tuesday to Thursday and know what I'm actually working with.

Has anyone homebrewed merchants for other base sets?

I quite enjoyed having the merchants and trading some extra cards we got at the end of each scenario in Mummy's Mask. I want to homebrew merchants for my next play of RotR but wanted to see if anyone had any advice or had done that themselves for theirhome games.

Gunslinger Class Deck

I am not sure if this is allowed or not. My boyfriend would like to play a character from the Gunslinger deck, which sort of necessitates us having the other cards so we can have guns available to gain along the way and such. But there doesn’t seem to be any for sale out there at a reasonable price. So wanted to check here if there is anyone who has one and would be willing to sell it to us. If you are, please DM me and we can see what we can work out.

Doppelschwert Campaigns Request

I know I am super late to the party but I'm looking for the two fandmade Adventure paths created by doppelschwert; "Revenge of the Wicked" and "Emerald legacy". I understand he won't circulate it anymore, but I am hoping that someone here will dm me a link to them. IF he himself could even supply to me that would be great! Just enjoying the game with my son and dad. Thanks!

Wrath of the Righteous set lacks Blessing of Pharasma?

I've been playing through this adventure path with my dad, and I'm playing the Half-Orc Inquisitor "Imrijka". One of her power feats on her role card gives her benefits to using blessings of Pharasma, but I looked through the box and I just don't have any?

Have my Blessings of Pharasma just outright disappeared or did they not put any into the Wrath of the Righteous boxes? If it's the latter, it seems odd to give a character benefits to a blessing they can't get.

Edit: Turns out the card was misprinted or something, so it's actually supposed to be Basic blessings. That solves a lot of problems.

Print the Core Set at home?

Hello, I haven't played the ACG.

Paizo is selling ACG physical copies for 70% off until the end of March.

They have the Curse of the Crimson Throne, but it's not playable because they aren't selling the Core Set. I guess they ran out of stock long ago? I can't find the store page for the Core Set.

Is there a digital copy I can get to print out the Core Set, and then buy the physical copy of Curse of the Crimson Throne to use with it?

Rules Late game location decks

Core set 2, crimson throne 5a. We have 5 players so 7 locations and there aren't enough weapons left over to create all locations on M deck size. Do we just fish out stuff we've already removed from lower decks?

Where to play digitally

Hello! I recently rediscovered the Steam game for Pathfinder Adventures, and have been having an amazing time over its first four campaigns.

But as I understand, the Steam game stopped getting support before other real life expansions gotta added to it.

I was wondering for the opinion of other players here, on whether it is worthwhile to grab a mod from Tabletop Simulator (and if so, which one) to experience the game there. Is there a functioning mod whose content you would consider justifies switching over to TTS?

Dice Probability Calculator Tool

Back when I played pathfinder about 10 to 15 years ago, I had written an app to help my group calculate probability of success for dice rolls. It didn't occur to me to share it until now. It was specially made for super easy use for the pathfinder adventure card game.

Click dice to add them. Click the added dice at the bottom to remove them. The column on the left shows the probability of rolling that number or higher. There is even an option to see the probability if you can reroll all the dice on failure.

I put it up on itch: https://satisfactorymodeler.itch.io/dice-probability

But if you don't want it embedded in their web page, here is the direct link to it: https://html-classic.itch.zone/html/16392303/dice_probability/index.html?v=1770418201

Path of Thrones

Back in the mid 2010's when Game of Thrones was at the height of it's popularity I made a custom pathfinder adventure path based on game of thrones. It's pretty high quality with fully done up cards and art. I had almost finished book 4 when a hard drive failure lost a lot of my work and I never got the motivation to redo it. Also the tv show ending killed any last motivation I had. But I do have the first 3 books completed so now after nearly 10 years I know I will never work on it again so I am sharing what I do have.

You can download it for free to print and play at https://satisfactorymodeler.itch.io/path-of-thrones

Don't forget to read the short README file first with a couple bits of must know info on how to play it.

All I hope is that someone besides my small playgroup gets to enjoy it as well.

Mummy's Mask acquiring adventure paths

We loved the decks B and 1. I cannot find any adventure decks 2-6. Only on paizo's site for ~$20/deck pack. Any suggestions? I've checked eBay and noble knight games and board game geek.

Rules Question about Fumbus

Both of role cards have a Feat that reads:

During recovery, when you would banish an Alchemical boon or an Arcane Attack spell, you may discard it instead. (☐ Then you may recharge a new Arcane Attack spell/Alchemical item whose level is 0.)

With Arcane Attack Spell and Alchemical item depending on which role. My question is, where does this "new" card come from? From the Recovery Pile? From your hand? From Discard? From the Vault?

Thanks in advance.

Homebrew Any tips for doing a custom campaign?

So my group played through all of the Core Set and Curse of the Crimson Throne. While I know there is already custom content out there, I had the idea of trying to convert other APs into campaigns for the game.

For example, having played through Gatewalkers in pf2e, I had the idea of trying to homebrew a ACG for it. However, I'm at a loss at some moments: Is there any resource or tips for building a homebrew campaign?

Like, what kind/number of locations to use, what kind of story banes and if Veteran or not.

As of right now I'm just putting what it fits the narrative of the game, but I'd like to hear from the community. Thanks.

Pathfinder ACG Campaign End

Hi everyone,
my team and I just finished the campaign of Rise of the Runelords, we don't really know what we are supposed to do now. It seems like the game wants us to make our own adventures, but we arent really looking forward to making them as to play them... Does anyone know of any player-made adventures set after the endgame?

Rules Bloodbug Swarm (CotCT)

The card reads "after the encounter, shuffle this monster into its location."

This is done regardless of the monster being defeated or not, right?

Is there a way to see the adventure deck number on mobile?

I recently started playing this game on my phone, and I've noticed that some enemies say that the difficulty is increased by the adventure deck number. Is there somewhere I can see what that number is so I can know what I'm working with? I've tried looking for it on various screens, but I can't seem to figure out where it's at.

I don’t understand why I’m taking damage

So I just started playing this game on mobile and I’m on the Black Fang scenario and I don’t understand why Kyra keeps taking damage. I was fighting a skeleton with a combat rating of 8 and rolled 14 but somehow I took 1 damage. Can someone please explain why? This scenario is pissing me off and idk how the fuck to beat it when I take damage no matter how high I roll.

Imrijka build

Hello everyone, I've had WOTR ACG for almost a decade in my game library and just finally decided to play it and having a blast with it. I've defeated the B scenario and I finally got my first feat. However, I'm having a hard time deciding which feats to get, considering it's my first time playing the game. I'm playing solo with just 1 character, and I need ideas for Imrijka, so I don't regret my decisions later on.

Suggestions?

Question about restarting a game of wrath of the righteous

Hello, we are in the middle of Skulls and Shackles and are planning on redoing Wrath of the righteous after that. In our first game of that box, our Paladin uncursed a lot of items. When redoing a box, do you start it from scratch again or are the uncursed items still uncursed?

Also one of the players wants to continue playing his Paladin, but I'm not sure it's a good idea since we completed the whole box with him and he would be just to strong.

Thanks for your help 😁

Looking for Blessing of Terendelev

My family just started Wrath of the Righteous for PACG. I loved running the actual AP. Saw there are some promos for this path, but could find anyone selling this particular one. Checking to see if anyone on here might want to part with one.

Questions about sorting and organizing

Just purchased basically all of the expansions (only missing Mummy's Mask part 5 which i cant find anywhere) and wondering how you guys keep your cards organized.

I normally use BCW boxes and dividers to sort my cards, but I am having trouble figuring out if I'm supposed to keep different expansions separated and when/where I can mix in class deck cards.

Would I be messing up if I just put like ALL of the B/C cards together, then sort the rest by rank?

Say for Armors:

Armor B/C Armor lvl 1 Armor lvl 2 Etc

But I would be mixing all the armors from the various sets together, and not sure if thats allowed

Sorry if that was hard to follow.

Thanks in advance
