Good batting performances by youngsters, Azan Awais and Awais Zafar both scored hundreds. While Abdullah Fazal looked very promising with a fifty in first innings and a brisk near fifty in the second innings. Babar Azam was back in form with a hundred, Shan Masood added value with his 70 in first innings. Ali Usman, Salman Ali Agha and Mohammad Rizwan all showcased their abilities with 40 odd-scores.
Pakistan should field this playing XI in the first Test match: Azan Awais, Shan Masood, Abdullah Fazal, Babar Azam (C), Awais Zafar, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Salman Ali Agha, Ali Usman, Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Abbas.
One specialist spinner is necessary as the innings will surely be longer than 80 overs, and we can't afford to lose points due to slow-over rate. Batting seems to be a bright point here.
Best of luck Pakistan đ”đ° team.

What are the thoughts and key takeaways from this practice match for u all? in my case i would say drop saji for ali usman as sajid's control was genuinely laughable, mohammad ali, abbas, khurram and aamer jamal are our most likely starting xi
we conceded too many from the tail again, imam needs to be dropped, aamer jamal was mediocre with the bat but he bowled well enough as well, bit worried for rizwan as he got bowled in the second innings, but he was sent as opener and he did get a good score in the first innings so we have to trust him, it was a pretty flat deck so that should be something to consider and we should bat first in the real game as well imo as by late day 3 and 4 the pitch was turning a lot so we dont wanna be chasing here

Hey,
So I had a lot going on in life this past year and I just fell out of touch with cricket. The last thing I really watched was the SA test in Lahore in stadium. But everything after that was so depressing that it is just a haze to me. When I did check in, I was greeted to the second Bangla whitewash and was horrified enough to just retreat again. But now I have a long slow summer ahead of me and my wife is going away so what else do I have to do except tune in for this test series starting soon. I was just hoping to hear from fans who have been engaged during this time: what are the current narratives, who is hated, who is coming back yet again, is babar still looking for form, who is the one being snubbed/marginalized, what are the petty internal struggles, and what, in real terms (narratives aside), do u as fans think are the main hopes/fears for this series? If you could, try and pepper in people whom I may be expecting to see but won't and people who would mysteriously forefront, funny things that would surprise someone who hasn't been in touch, etc. I have purposefully avoided official announcements and news articles because I wanted my boys to tell me first.
