Painting digital effects by hand
This project pushed me to the limits of my patience and skill. Mostly hand brushed with a bit of masking + airbrush to finalize the details, I wanted to give a final push before welcoming our first child in late August. Enjoy this picture of me exhaustedly smiling next to the piece plus some detail shots. The painting is 48x60in and is called "Xenofract".

Swallows, raw oil paint, and deliberate imperfections. Part of my new series: "Wings and Shadows in Transylvania".
Fresh off the easel, an alla prima oil painting capturing five barn swallows perched together.
This piece is part of my new series, "Wings and Shadows in Transylvania".
For this work, I deliberately chose to leave the "process" visible rather than chasing a clean, finished look in oil. I left rough, unrefined brushstrokes, visible marks, and raw paint texture right on the canvas.
Knowing how much focus on technique and painterly details fellow artists appreciate, I'm curious how this rugged approach to five perching swallows sits with the community!

"Garden For Eden" An acrylic painting
“Garden for Eden” An acrylic painting that was created out of mourning for a little girl. Eden is depicted in a garden where there is no pain or suffering. The birth-month flowers represent the journey of her life: the beginning, diagnosis, and death. She is carrying my late bunny, Alfie, who is keeping her company in her peaceful garden.

Desire to Sin. Oil on 24*20 inch canvas. Would love some critiques
In Desire to Sin, the canvas becomes a battleground of light and shadow, heaven and hell. At the top, a fiery eruption of desire blazes through the clouds, pulling souls downward with its golden, tempting lure. Below, the serene whites of heaven dissolve into the stormy blues and blacks of chaos. The once-stable cloud realm of purity fractures as desire breaks through, dragging figures toward the infernal blaze above. A faint rainbow, almost lost in the turmoil, hints at hope, now fading. This piece explores the fragility of virtue when desire overtakes reason, illustrating the eternal conflict between spiritual elevation and carnal temptation.
