Meme Hot Take: I hate this mf more than sleep scam
sends my basics to the shadow realm at least 75% of the games and ruins my ramp.

It doesn't matter how much planning I do with my desks; the moment the puppies show up, I know I am dead to rights.
Why is it able to do 80-100+ damage on turn 2-3?! And there's no countering it, from my (limited) knowledge! It's not an ability, so you can't nullify it. It's not an EX, so you can't Oricorio it. It's a Basic mon, so you don't get extra points for beating it. It's not an evolution, so you can't even prevent the mons from evolving. There's nothing I can find to stop or even just counter it!
It's hilarious how I can go to my friends while steaming from anger and just scream "PUPPY PILE."
Rivalry ended with Hydreigon. Now Puppy Pile is my greatest enemy.
Hey everyone, I encountered a rare situation:
Has anyone else run into a damage calculation bug with Devolution attacks? I had a full-HP Dragon-type Flygon (which has no weaknesses) in the Active spot, evolved from a Trapinch using a Rare Candy. My opponent attacked with Celebi for 40 damage, triggering a Devolution effect that sent my Flygon back to my hand. Since Flygon has no weakness, the attack should have locked in at exactly 40 damage—meaning my 60-HP Trapinch should have inherited it and survived with 20 HP. Instead, my Trapinch was instantly Knocked Out. It looks like the game engine incorrectly applied Trapinch's Grass weakness after the devolution happened, boosting the damage to a lethal 60. Has anyone else experienced this sequencing error where damage is calculated against the underlying Basic's typing instead of the Active Stage 2?

Just had a good ranked match against a Mega Diancie/Mega Gardevoir deck. Lots of back and forth and strategy. They killed my Meowscarada but not before I reduced both their mega's HP. I could see them scramble to try and get more psychic energies to OHKO my Mega Sceptile, but my guy was caped, armed and ready.
They almost had me, but came short of two energies to take Sceptile out. They went down. Super satisfying and fun battle.
I get the Victory screen, take a screenshot to send to a friend out of the app. Talk for a few seconds. Open back up pokémon TCG, then I get the "you interrupted a battle do you want to continue" screen. I tap yes. Then I get hit with the "You failed to come back in the allotted time, this will be counted as a loss". I had no idea the Victory screen didn't count as the end of the battle!
Well played, Diancie. I definitely took psychic damage here. Enjoy the win and bragging rights.

I almost conceded when I saw this early game, then magic happened and Caterpie just evolved while having 0 HP 😲

Since "Ruler of the Skies" is coming out in about a week, I have a theory/question thing.
It's pretty much very likely that Kyogre and Groudon are included in the set, and it might be in their Primal Reversion forms, but if they do. Would they have the 2 points rulebox for ex's or the 3 points for megas?
It can go both ways; yes they're modified forms of themselves like how Megas work but Ultra-Necrozma was released and it values as 2 points so...

I see too many posts and comments here that don’t understand Pokemon attack order of operations. This is the ultimate guideline on understand the various sequences.
Just curious. Assume DeNA loses their mind and gives every player ONE guaranteed god pack for the next one they open. It expires within a week so you can’t just hoard it indefinitely. What’s everybody hoping for?

30 of the 50 pre-Legends ZA Megas (including the 2 Primals) are already in Pocket at the time writing.
We know Mega Rayquaza is coming in the next set - Ruler of the Skies - but which other Megas do you think will be in it?
Then, there are the 45 new Megas that were introduced in Legends ZA. A number of them have already made their debut in the physical TCG but we have no word when these new ones will come to Pocket. Hopefully, it'll be soon.
EDIT: Golurk should be in Gen 5, not Gen 6. My bad!

I was using Miraidon x Magneton in my early Ultra climb until I got steamrolled by the big lizard in one of my games. My 140HP Mirai looked extra frail a few games after, so I switched over. Boy, was it a great run. The Y Zard is just too big a threat to get around for the other prominent megas.
I played with two strategies in mind, both usually ending with the opponent with a mega in active for the Zard to finish off:
Entei's gonna be your main engine for draw power and decent damage early game. The games I started with a different mon and no pivot options, I brought out Entei, didn't bother attacking with it, and focused on building the Zard/s instead.
Decklist (besides the standard Cat, Oak 'n Balls)

After dropping way down with off meta decks, I went on this 14 win streak to MB.

Won 7 in a row yesterday and lost 9 in a row today with the same deck. What a wild RNG experience. One day you love your deck and the next day you want to throw it in the trash smh
After living through an eternal hell in ranked this season, cycling through most meta decks without consistent results, I crafted this just trying to have a bit more fun (I know it’s an updated version of an old list) and it turned out to be pretty good. It’s not amazing or game breaking but I was able to get an above 50% win rate, which I found impossible with most meta decks, going a solid 11-9 to finally get to master, so Im sharing it to maybe help others get out of their misery in the ranks.
It works pretty decently mostly because it catches people off guard, they ain’t sure how to play against it and always underestimate/forget about flail damage. Give it a go and tell me if it’s good to you!

I believe in the current meta, Muk is a highly underrated card that can offer a great deal of utility against many common decks. By running this fine fellow in the Zoroark ex deck, I am able to seamlessly put into play a Muk by the midgame which completely shuts down several important cards in highly meta decks:
Miraidon ex is no longer the dangerous win condition that prevents this deck from attaining victory. Darkrai and Darkrai ex are no longer able to chip you down using their dangerous abilities, and you don't even need to use any tech attackers to handle the Oricorios you may well encounter. Even more understated abilities, like Legendary Pulse, or the vaunted Veevee-Volve ability do not function against you, while you suffer little in the domain of consistency for this inclusion. As you can see my win-rate during my climb was quite successful, and offered to me a painless way to achieve the oft-desired Master Ball rank. I suggest that you all do so as well. What do you think? Do you believe that Muk has finally had his day in the sun? Do you believe that Muk's recent deal with the CEO of Apple Inc., Tim Apple, may have had something to do with his meteoric rise? Let me know in the comments below.

Didn't take long to climb at all. And flower trick is really fun to play with

Anyone else notice with this season that they are losing so many matches by turn 3-4? i feel like i can never set anything up, i just get put to sleep with the my mega in the starting slot since i for some reason CANNOT pull anything other than the cards i don't want to start with and then i am getting 30-50 damage per turn over 3 turns from sleep scum and games over. Anyone noticing super quick games this season or is my RNG just that bad?

Do you think something like this could happen some time soon? (Like the upcoming 2 year anniversary of the game)
Personally I think 25K of shinedust per trade is insanely high considering the jump is for only 4K
Fingers crossed

been running this obstagoon/darkrai deck (120 damage from obstagoon if the opponent already has damage on it, darkrai does 20 damage when you put energy on it) lately and it’s been very fun, but it can be a bit clunky when my starting hand has darkrai as my only basic mon. the energy cost to attack and retreat is a bit steep, and i’d rather not have to give two points if i have to give up a mon before obstagoon comes online. so, if anyone has any suggestions to improve upon this deck, i’m all ears :)
