GLP-1 Options (non Tirz)
Hello all.
I've got insulin resistance and PMOS, and have tried a number of things to lose weight. I tried Mounjaro a while ago and experienced very horrendous side effects. I couldn't eat or drink, was extremely tired. and overall felt sick. It got so bad, I had to go to the hospital for medical treatment. This was only after the 1st dose, so the doctors felt that it would be unadvisable for me to continue with it.
So now, I'm back to square one with tracking every crumb that goes into my mouth and exercising regularly. The classics that should work, but just don't all that well. Despite my experience, I'm curious if a different GLP-1 could be a better option.
I've thought about trying the Rybelsus pill since it's cheapest, but I'm worried that it would make me feel equally as unwell as Mounjaro did. People say they have less side effects with the pill vs the injection, but people also said they experienced less side effects from tirzepatide vs semaglutide. I'll be speaking with my doctor about this but I'm curious what others with this condition have experienced.
I am in Japan, so I can't buy compounded GLP-1s. Thanks to anyone with some advice!
