While I am a native Oshkosh resident, I want to go to eaa and not pay for parking. Does anyone know if I can take a shuttle bus to the grounds? Do I need to show my ticket to get on the bus? Or am I out of luck and have to pay for parking? I just wish that they would have cheaper tickets for Oshkosh residents. It sure would be nice. Thanks in advance!

Any advice on the best place to watch the EAA night show without actually going inside the grounds? I’m mainly going for the drone show and fireworks.
I’d rather avoid all the walking with my family and the traffic getting out afterward. Are there any good parking lots, paid parking, businesses, or roadside spots where you can watch from your car or with just a short walk? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

A couple of years ago, I watched the AirVenture Saturday night fireworks from a parking lot just outside the EAA grounds. It was free, we stayed in the car, and we had a great view without having to buy tickets. Unfortunately, I can’t remember where that parking lot was.

Does anyone know where that spot might be, or have recommendations for similar places?

I’m mainly looking for:

• Free parking

• A good view of the fireworks

• Minimal walking (I’d prefer to watch from or right next to my car)

• Easy to get in and out if possible

I’d really appreciate any suggestions.

My wife and I bought a house in Oshkosh earlier this month and I found this in the backyard. Does anyone know when this would’ve been used? Or anymore information about it at all.

Hi! As someone who works in customer service please be patient during EAA. Oshkosh is not built for this influx of people so fast. Treating people with yelling and screaming in a store at the big age of 40 is crazy💀😭

As a current pilot and former air traffic controller. it still amazes me at the controlled chaos that is EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh I'm always impressed with everyone's skills and professionalism. How there aren't more accidents each year is beyond me!

I'm flying in to Milwaukee on the 29th and staying in fon du lac. I just found out about the airshow that finishes a few days before... Is there still some stuff around, or do they pack up and leave pretty quickly....

The Oshkosh Common Council has voted to advance a pause on data center construction in the city, while residents in neighboring Omro are circulating a petition with the same goal. Both efforts center on protecting the region's water and natural resources.

The Oshkosh resolution directs city staff to prepare an official ordinance pausing data center construction, collaborate with other local governments on data center policy, and study the issue further. The council also passed an amendment to the resolution aimed at expanding regional cooperation on data center regulations.

The Oshkosh Common Council emphasized that there are no current plans for data centers to come into the city of Oshkosh, or Winnebago County for that matter.

What apartments are kinda sketchy in the area? I’m trying to judge based off of looks and relying heavily on google but it’s so hard to know for certain. Osborn Estates doesn’t look too bad from the photos. Looking to pay no more than $1500 for a clean and safe place to live. And I think paying $1300 for 750sq ft is absolutely nuts. Tying to house me and my husband.

I did hear Blue Frog property management is ass, Lexington is ass, Titan, concord place specifically is noted as bad

Does anybody know what store the building used to be? I could not find any property records. There appears to have been some cafe or something in the corner? And a lot of 90's-style signage. From what I could find the building was last sold in 2008, but it must have been owned by the city at that point.

Just had our first and likely only child in March. We moved here last year and haven't really developed a strong social group yet. My wife and I are both Millenials (born late 80s) and I work from home full time. It's been difficult to get out and meet new people with the new born.
