Spoilers (Movie) Teaser for Detective Conan Movie 30 Spoiler

In the teaser video we see multiple London street lights turning on while a bell is tolling. We hear the voices of Ran and Shinichi, who repeat their dialogue from Chapter 745 of the manga, from the London case, the iconic "If you're a detective, you should be able to deduce what's in my heart" exchange, shortly before Shinichi's confession. The teaser ends on a shot of Big Ben, with the usual text announcing Movie 30 for Golden Week 2027.

This is all that is included in the teaser, everything else one might've heard so far (M30 taking place in London, Conan turning back to Shinichi, M30 being a movie remake of the London manga case, etc.) is merely speculation at this point.

What would you HATE to see in the finale?

What are plot elements you would really dislike seeing in the finale? I mean things that you think have at least a small chance of potentially happening, not stuff like "Shinichi changing sides and joining the BO" or "the Detective Boys dying".

For me it would be Ran never finding out the truth. I hate the idea of Shinichi overthrowing the BO, returning in his normal body, Conan getting send of to live with his parents off-screen, and him living happily ever after with Ran without ever telling her the truth.

I don't think they will do this but I also don't find it unlikely enough to completely rule it out. It would be so disrespectful to Ran's character and it would greatly impact how I see Shinichi if he were to do this.

The Mysterious Angel's Mansion case is one of the best filler cases in Detective Conan. The episode's production is excellent and fitting. The mysteries are extremely enjoyable.

Did the way you feel about the characters change over time?

I assume there's people here who've followed this show for years or even decades, like me.

Has the way you feel about the characters changed over time? For example, is there a character you used to dislike but now that you're older you feel more sympathetic towards them? Or characters whose actions you used to condone and now you judge them more harshly?

For me it's mostly than when I first started watching the show in the early 2000s I had a massive crush on Shinichi whereas nowadays my feelings towards him are more motherly lol I understand Ai's reluctance to provide him with information and temporary antidotes much better because this kid is a compulsive disaster whose IQ seems to lose 40 points whenever his feelings for Ran are involved. I also want to yell at Yukiko and Yusaku for leaving their then 13 year old child all by himself so they can enjoy their life in LA. Yes, I know, Shinichi wanted to stay behind, but I don't remember it ever being mentioned that they at least visit him regularly. I'm also only now realising how young many of the adult characters are. If I remember correctly, Yukiko, Yusaku, Eri and Kogoro are all only around 37. That's so young. That's barely older than I am now. I also used to assume Prof. Agasa was at least in his 60s because of his white hair.

I also used to admire Ran and Shinichi for saving Vermouth disguised as the serial killer in New York. As a teenager I was so moved by that action and agreed that it was the right thing to do. Whereas nowadays while I wouldn't deliberately harm the killer, I certainly would not try to save his life after he'd just tried to kill me and therefore provide him with another chance at killing me.

I may have overlooked it, even after countlessly rereading chapters.

Question Can anyone tell the episode name?

I know it's hard with this short video, but that's all I have.

It's from the first episodes because of the drawing.

Episode one remake (2016), where can I watch it?

It's not on Crunchyroll anymore andI was only able to find a German dub version for 20€ on Amazon. I'm absolutely willing to pay 20€ for it but I want the original Japanese version. Can anyone direct me to it? (I don't have a DVD player, so buying the dvd is not an option.)

Sato

Sato is the smartest cop in Beika, and the episodes she's in are usually intense, but I don't like her. I feel like her relationship with Takagi is toxic. I don't like how she treats him, and I haven't forgotten that moment when Sato slapped Takagi. Sato is two years older than Takagi and holds a higher position in the police department. It's clear the relationship is unbalanced.

Where can I watch the movies?

I want to rewatch the movies/catch up on the ones I haven't watched yet but I can't find them anywhere. I want to watch the original with English subtitles, not some dubbed version.

Discussion Is Amuro a trash person?

Post image
44 Upvotes

I am gonna get SOOOO much hate, but imma take a deep breath, ready myself for it and take it all in good spirit.

SO! I just watched the Scarlet Arc! And SERIOUSLY, what is this guy's deal!? Why tf is he soooo mean!?

Idc if you're a good guy, a government officer, an extremely efficient infiltrator and super competent, YOU JUST DON'T GET TO TALK TO PEOPLE LIKE THEY'RE THE DIRT ON YOUR SHOE!?

I am talking about his ENTIRE interaction with Jodie and Camel in the arc: he seemed like a mega right-wing hyper-nationalist, "don't be in my country, you white trash" sort of a person! Idc if this land is your jurisdiction: nobody deserves to be mistreated the way Jodie and Camel were, especially in front of other law enforcement people, teachers and a kid. And he wasn't just being mad about their nationality, he was also being ultra condescending and hurtful about their intellect?

Like bruh please: if you shame someone for a certain skillset when it's obviously uncalled for, it's obviously gonna impact their confidence and self-perception, and you're making the world an uglier place than it was before your existence. And if you don't understand that, you don't deserve to be called an adult and to be a part of adult conversations. At that point, it doesn't matter whether you work for the good guys or the bad: you're a questionable character that the world could live without.

Thanks for sitting through my rant: I have been holding onto this for more than an hour as I sat through the arc, and this helped me get it off of my chest. And in case anyone is wondering: this wasn't MEANT to be ragebait. I know this wouldn't show up on most people's recommendations because it'll get so downvoted to begin with. I just needed an outlet to express my frustration, and this had to be it. Also, I loooove Akai: he is WAY COOLER than this guy despite being MEGA POLITE. Just goes to show that you don't need to be mean to be interesting.

Ayanokoji and Chikasuzu

Post image

In the seventh film, it was revealed that Ayanokoji is in love with Chikasuzu, but it wasn't clear whether she reciprocated his feelings. There's a nine-year age gap between them.

So, I don't expect Gosho to write a romantic script for them.

But I do expect them to end up together.

Why doesn't the author like Shiratori?

Post image
78 Upvotes

Shiratori is a fantastic character, but the author hasn't done him justice. He became an inspector at a young age and is undoubtedly better than Takagi and Sato in terms of personality. Yet, the author completely ignores him. Does it make sense that the author focuses more on Chiba and Miike's relationship than on Shiratori and Sumiko's?

Why did Police Officer Chihaya get her own movie, while Shiratori hasn't had one yet?

Mildly Interesting At 1:05 Conan Gray said DC’s punchline and revealed he’s named after our Conan

Not sure if someone had posted this before bcs it’s an old video from 2022, but this was interesting for me bcs when Conan Gray was getting popular, all I can think of is Conan (Edogawa). Tbh all of those whose name is Conan reminds me of DC. Then I learned he was wasian (half Japanese), and it led me to this video which is funny to think of. I can’t believe I had all the reason to be reminded of DC and I shouldn’t feel like I’m too addicted of Conan… His mom must be so cultured.

Side note: I named my dog Doyle (inspired by the papillon dog at one conan ep) and Conan.

Discussion Just finished 299/300 IDC this dude deserved it Spoiler

One thing about Conan's annoying ending speech that pisses me off is he sees this conflict going on, and as usual does nothing to stop it.

It'd be different if they didn't keep putting Conan in these situations where he sees things happening, and doesn't prevent them.

It really annoys me too, because earlier in the series with the cactus woman, he prevented her from killing someone out of revenge.

Also after they didn't let Mouri explain this case, that's just made me want to stop watching honestly. It's been a good series so far, but tbh I'm pretty tired of it at this point.

Mildly Interesting I'm surprised that Ran or Kogoro didn't force him go to a therapist after this happened.

At this point in the story when it happens they entirely believe that he's a normal seven year old who just watched a person die (but by the time of the next chapter no one even brings it up).

Discussion When will shinichi appear next? Spoiler

Since Conan has an antidote leftover from the scarlet school trip (I caught up until azusa kidnap case in anime) it is safe to assume in the near future he will use it. I would like to know from you guys when do u think he will use it.
