Oink In light of the new buffs, I call upon all Pig mains!

The changes seem great overall, however one thing is missing IMO. They should make the speed at which you place a RBT on a survivor quicker. It is just tediously show without the bag or create of gears addons. These addons already have much stronger primary effects.

So when giving feedback to BHVR on the forums/Reddit, please be sure to mention they should also increase that basekit RBT setting speed. Other than that, let's all Oink in joy!

Oink I just hit p100! (read body text)

On my very first ever game as pig, I got the walking dead map, had a 4k with 4 iri emblems.

Now, here I am, many months later. And My final match before hitting p100 was on that very same map, with 5 cake offerings, perkless and with friendly survivors.

Roughly 550 total matches, and 1300 kills.

I'm very happy about this :D

Amanda's Rebirth or Blighted Pig?

I've got enough auric cells for one and wanna know which I should get before the sale ends. I already have Masquerade Piggy, Pig Leather, and Tesr Subject, and I don't really care for Deceiver.

Amanda's Rebirth pros:

* Easier to look like a survivor from afar

* Looks cool

* Sick mask

* Seems like it would mix and match better

Blighted Pig pros:

* something to wear when Halloween rolls around

* Grotesque in the best way possible

* I like the weapon

Hi everyone! Yesterday, I got The Pig to P100. I’m happy to join this exclusive club of Amanda and *Saw* franchise fans. I also want to mention that I live in Russia, so I might be one of the first in the CIS community to reach P100 with The Pig. Bye!

Help How's my Build?

I know Video Tape gets a lot of hate from survivors, but I use it to keep them busy for the first 5 to 10 minutes, if they die it's their own fault

Pig in the Banquet - Your Tricks?

Post image

My first post here! Had no idea this sub existed! And I hear it's the best DbD sub! (Sorry for the long post)

I decided to try out Pig in the event, running my standard build on her. (Monstrous Shrine, Third Seal, PWYF, Blood Warden with Crate and Rule Set 2) the idea is "let's play a game" and have them make choices... keep them busy with armed bear traps, punishing altruism with deep wounds, blindness, and getting survivors off gens or boxes or the team dies faster on hook. Usually in normal queue I fair a few head pops or I slow the game down enough to snowball them.

I know basic killers struggle in this event, I have been doing well enough with Houndmaster, Knight, Bubba, and Trapper as my regulars (I been playing a wide variety of killers though)

I was not expecting a 3k or 4k but I was going to play for them, of course. I don't slug for 4k either so the last survivor has a chance.

But these back to back Pig games last night were brutal. Coordinated teams, good players, constant table resets, portal+invisibility buffs in both matches, no pressure with the bear traps, etc I was powerless and frustrated

Game 1: Temple of Purgation, I was struggling and managed a, 1K ending on a score of about 35k, but all 4 survivors scored over 40k. Constant table resets, poor RNG for me, coordinated altruism, Sabo hooks, beamers, stacked second chance perks to tank hits plus the constant invisibility. I tried for the Blood Warden play and I thought I could get away with it, but we were too close to the exit, they broke my nearest hook so I dropped my slug away from the door and pressured the Sabo player until she was down but I think they could read the play and left their teammate before getting locked in.

Game 2: made me want to crash out. Pig at Freddy Fazbear's, I have had Trapper games like this where I'm getting "bullied" with flashlights, table resets, etc. But with Trapper, if I push through they usually fall apart as I start moving my traps into the focused areas with the remaining couple gens and hooked survivors. But this Pig game had me losing my mind, mostly because it was back-to-back portals and table "spamming"

I felt like I was going to be on someone's bully or shame reel. I couldn't keep pressure. I had 1 early hook and then the rest of the match was constant table resets, invisibility morsals plus the portals so you can't follow anyone. I'm constantly back at square 1. I had swapped out PWYF for Sloppy but of course it doesn't do anything when tables are set. It felt like a repeat of the previous game.

I only started getting some pressure back during dessert course where they can't set the table settings. I finally got 4 total hooks! I got a 4k because I finally got the obvious 3-man SWF in the corner with me and their slug, everyone injured, waiting out the EGC timer before picking up their teammate and getting to the hook not broken behind the tile, locking everyone with Blood Warden. 35k points.

The lowest scoring survivor was live on TTV so I jumped in to say GGWP, complimented the coordination and how frustrating it was and GL next. She had somehow not figured out the context clue and went off about how that was not frustrating at all, that it was such an easy game, and that they were a solo too, and the Pig was bad and couldn't do anything, etc, and "she only got lucky" with the one perk therefore it "wasn't a loss" for the survivors. I revealed that I was the Pig, she back-peddled slightly, yelling out "OHH!" and calling me "Pig" with an obvious inflection. She said that she could understand why it would be frustrating, that she would never play killer in this mode, continued on about being solo and the team all played very good and she doesn't count it as a loss cus I only "got lucky" lol (her team carried her and she had the lowest score at 25k, I was playing FOR BOTH and baiting them so I would've call it luck. She also could have left. She was injured so it's not like she could do anything to help, and she's the one who opened the gate allowing me to make the Blood Warden play, so hanging out in the exit for awhile and then running deep into the map to watch the corner T+L I had them at and then getting locked in was all on her)

I then switched to Knight and Freddy, 2 games each, before bed and had much easier time with them.

Pig has become one of my most fun and favorite killers to play as since she received her buffs and I love going in with her using a gameplay style that feels like something from Saw. According to the DbD stats page, I do have over 60% kill rate with her, which I was surprised to see that high.

But I might just bench her for the rest of the event. My playstyle as Pig doesn't seem to work here and I'm at a loss how to enjoy her while getting completely destroyed. Regular games don't feel like this.

How is everyone else playing around the event with her? I'm curious to try other styles or builds

Thank you!

Help Amanda's secret (addon) bug?

i had a game where i was putting massive pressure on with the traps and was running amanda's secret and rule set #2. but i kept losing traps cause i was not able to see the auras of survivors removing traps, only after said traps were removed. its supposed to show the aura when they start removing them right?

Edit: if this is a bug its not going away i did another game where it happened again, i get auras after they remove the trap

Edit 2: well.. i see how that addon is supposed to act now but now i experienced another troubling match. where near the end i found a survivor who had a trap but wasnt beeping anymore while still active? and when i downed her and had her do a wobble escape but when it did that long beep meaning its killing the survivor it didnt kill them?? that was te only time i saw it but i did the wobble thing twice on the same person, and they didnt die to the trap. but there was at least one other time where a survivor could have died since they were taking so long to disarm

Discussion How do we feel about this

If there is one survivor that won't boop, put a rbt on them and hook them. Proxy camp the hook, then once they get off follow them around at enough distance where chase doesn't start so their timer goes down. If they try to remove the rbt, down and hook again. Ensure that there are opportunities to boop the snoot during this process. If they boop, they may be forgiven. Is this valid?

Help Rate my build, need some feedback. New to pig and killer

Corrupt intervention: When the trial starts, the 3 farthest Generators from you are blocked for 80/100/120s, or until you down a Survivor.

Deadlock: Whenever a Generator is completed, the Generator with the most progress is blocked for 15/20/25s.

Surveillance: You see the Auras of regressing Generators. Whenever a Generator stops regressing, you see its Aura for 8/12/16s. Generator repair noises can be heard from 8m farther away.

Brutal Strength: You basic-break Pallets and Breakable Walls, and damage Generators 10/15/20% faster.

Help New piggie main, i wanna put together a stalker build but dunno how to approach the idea.

basically i wanna follow a target or jump people doing an objective, in a fun scary way, not a 4k way. ive mostly tried this with a bunch of aura perks so i always have someone to stalk but i feel like i could do more than that

Help Builds (perks/Addons) and approach suggestions to more effectively counter highly coordinated SWFs

Long post! Explaining what Im experiencing so maybe can get suggestions.

I assume because of the event happening, when I'm playing normal non-event matches I am consistently getting highly coordinated SWFs who are leaving me pretty cornered every match. I'm 3k hours mostly as killer, just so you know I'm aware of the macro and micro basics and some advanced stuff.

My main build isn't bad, I run Amanda's letter and jigsaw's sketch, with ruin undying haunted grounds and retribution. This has done very well for me for like 2 months straight, but with the teams I'm facing I'm realizing I need to try some out of the box tactics. Regular chases are almost always a bad idea, because I'm eating 30 seconds and a handful of pallets for the first hit if I don't get a lucky sneak hit, 30 seconds *at least* and another handful of pallets for the second hit, often into a dead hard that I have to eat because it's the first chance Ive even been just barely able to scrape together a hit in all that time and I can't even afford to hesitate. usually after the dead hard I'm getting body blocked until the first survivor is back in another safe series of pallets and tiles. This pattern is happening enough for me to rattle it off like that.

A lot of my matches, these teams aren't even bothering to break ruin, because they'll have two people at a gen, I can only Chase one, that Chase is never a quick one, and the moment I step away from the generator the second survivor is jumping right back on it. Had a match on Badham and swamp that ran this way; I repeatedly went back and forth between two survivors who just would not leave one gen alone, took me like a minute to get both of them injured, both ran to very safe tile setups after the first hit so waste of time to commit, In that time two other gen's popped, eventually finally I got one down, had to slug her because the second survivor was just right back on the gen. Chased the second survivor and left the first slugged, got the second down but by then the first was picked up and the gen was completed by the time I got him on the hook. All of this while ruin was up, so that's my example for these situations where ruin should be helping me out but really isn't giving me any different end result than if I had just ignored the gen and chased One survivor off of it and let the other complete it.

All of this said, I'm trying to get creative and figure out a new approach to counter essentially just all of the things that come with a team who is both good in chase and relentlessly coordinated.

My only concern is, the perks that immediately come to mind to counter some of these things are gimmicky and unlikely to pay off. No Way out doesn't really do much on its own against these teams, especially if I didn't manage to hook everyone at least once. Gen defense might just be a waste of time altogether. Enduring and brutal strength might be worth it just to brute Force chases and get pressure that way, but enduring is easily countered and brute strength iften feels like it may as well have not been equipped at all. Starstruck is only good once somebody's actually downed, and I'm not dealing with body blocks on the way to hook so much as I am mid Chase.

All of this is before mentioning Deliverance, shoulder the burden, etc etc.

I've gotten super comfortable with Amanda's letter, and it helps me a lot at the deluge of 50/50 pallets everywhere, but I'm open to other add-on suggestions that have been effective in this situation for y'all too.

Thank you if you read all that! Tonight when I get on, I'm planning on doing a little gimmick for the sake of my own fun where when I'm in the pregame lobby, I choose a survivor who specifically has to die, and I won't trip about how anything else in the match goes as long as I know I'm getting them killed. I need to do stuff like that until I figure out a counter to these teams just for the sake of having a little fun on my own, but I'm sure that'll get old after a couple of matches
