Hey u/everyone,
Due to the high popularity of these handhelds, our community has been informing us about websites selling AYN devices and they're not affiliated with the company.
To avoid scams or overpaying for a handheld, make sure the website is only from AYN's website: https://www.ayntec.com/
Or from AYN's official Amazon and Aliexpress Shops:
https://www.amazon.com/s?me=AQ8MH5LD9VP09&marketplaceID=ATVPDKIKX0DER
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/1105261141
Additionally, all official AYN admin and staff use emails under the ayn.hk address. Anyone pretending to be a part of the company using a different email address should be dismissed immediately.
Sadly, online scams are more insidious as time goes by, and AYN cannot guarantee any sort of protection if you purchase from non-AYN official site and shops. With that said, we can all help make this community safe by informing each other and staying alert if you see any unofficial site selling AYN devices.
Likewise, when buying a used handhelds online, we strongly advice you purchase those from sites with customer protection.
Thank you for making this a safe and cool community!

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know that the Odin 2 Game Compatibility sheet is now live and ready to be used. You can find the link for it in the subreddit's menu links, sidebar, or here!
Additionally, i you have a hard time sending any requests on the sheet, feel free to use the Odin 2 Game Help form we made here!
Once we receive our Odins, we can write down our best settings for games to run efficiently/the best way possible on Odin 2.
Also, feel free to write in requests for Odin 2 havers in the Write Here sheet.
Truth to be told, I did receive an Odin 2 slightly early. So far:

just got my odin 3 about a month ago and slowly been working on getting it set up with it being my first handheld of this sort. so much to learn and i like to take my time with it.
I’ve got a lot of the emulators set up including eden, and recently I’ve been fixated on atlus games like Catherine, Persona 3,4,5 and Metaphor.
has anyone here got the PC version of metaphor to run on Odin 3 and can you offer any help how to get it set up. along with PC versions of Persona 3 reloaded.
I already got Persona 5 royal on Eden and it runs decently enough with occasional graphic stutters. SMT V seems to be struggling to run and it crashes a lot but I just need to find the right driver. Persona 4 golden runs smooth as well, and Catherine runs smooth just occasional video cutscene glitches.
Loving the odin 3 so far though it’s just I have been using PXPLAY for the most part and want to switch to playing what I play locally on the device. thanks for the help.

So everyone know it’s possible. Also Thor buttons work too
I ordered from the official retroid company by emailing them and asking about buttons/dpad/joysticks

Finally received my Odin 3 and decided after a little bit of emulation games later decided to install Armada os , I was trying to see if there’s anyone that has been able to get StS2 to work , I’ve tried almost all of the different compatibility options with still no luck. I’m not the best at configuring so I’m hoping someone has been able to manage to get this to work.

I had steam deck for 3 years, used occasional, sold it and then got used ally x, used a bit more buy not too much. Then got used switch lite, use it every day.( One of the reason is I borrow games from my local library, I will try to finish as soon as possible to return, keeps me focussed) . Two things I love about switch are light weight and sleep to wake. Now I don't touch my ally x most the time due it's bulk.
Question is since I am enjoying switch lite the most should I get something like odin 3 or thor or odin 2 portal? Will it enhance my experience? ( To give context games I enjoyed, and finished on switch lite bayonetta 2, legend of zelda echoes of wisdom and hades for now. Now want to start mario odyssey).

kingaetheral developed a magisk module that keeps the touchscreen alive with using the Odin 3 with the retroid dual screen. Requires root. Op2 tweaks ezroot was so easy to use. Enjoy!

Hey friends, I need some advice.
As the title mentions, I am thinking of buying an Odin 3, but I already own a base Thor and a Y700 Gen 4 tablet with telescopic controller for all types of gaming and streaming.
I guess I just thought having the portable horizontal form factor/extra performance would be nice for game native and switch titles that chug on my Thor.
That being said, I technically have 2 devices that already CAN do what the Odin 3 can do, but anyone else in here have similar devices and justified the purchase?
(Side note, I used to own a Portal and loved it but sold it as I didn’t use it much after getting the tablet, I miss it so much lol)

As the title suggests: I am not using the Odin as much as I would have imagined. It’s great for what it is. The speeds, the ease of setup, and just the versatility in of itself. I just don’t find myself picking it up to play as frequently as I imagined. I am also running into a need for a laptop so am considering getting a laptop that can game too. If I were to sell it, how much do y’all think I could get out of it? It’s basically brand new and was a part of the batch 4 before the memory changed. Still pondering all my options.
Edit: it is the purple one

Hello all, I recieved my Odin 3 recently and went down the rabbit-hole of the well documented loose L2 for a fix. I purchased my unit 2nd-hand unopened through eBay, transparent blue max model. Based on the manufacture date I suspect it is a Batch 6/7 unit. Following a post made by u/troabarton28, I popped the back off my unit and confirmed that it is the trigger itself rather than a loose screw, etc. Using their provided image (which I have annotated and included here), I applied a few pieces of Nexcare waterproof first aid tape to the area highlighted below. Again, this picture is courtesy of u/troabarton28 who claimed to use plastic glue to a similar effect. Filling this gap beneath the 3 circled prongs with the soft adhesive tape completely eliminated the loose feeling and rattle when shaking my unit after closing. If it returns, I will likely move on to the glue next. Cheers and hope this helps someone else doing obsessive googling like I was!

Months of scouring the second hand market for deals has finally yielded results! I now own an Odin 3 Ultra, Odin 2 Portal Max, and a Thor Max (1TB 4.0). Next is to decide which one to keep and move on from the others, but it's a unique opportunity to have them all in front of me at the same time. Sadly there is no perfect device so I'll be left with some trade off. Either portability/utility (Thor), size/comfort (Portal), or power (Odin 3).

Got my O2P yesterday & haven't put it down since it arrived. Downloaded roms & everything else I needed before it got here , so setup didn't take long. Most fun I've had playing a game in a while.

I got tired of flipping the screens. So I made this mod for OOT3D. So excited to share!

For some reason I cannot figure out, my left stick does not work when using NetherSX2. Only time where this is an issue. I’ve tried resetting all setting, remapping, updating the app, no luck. It registers the stick click but not movement of the stick. Why is this happening to me? I’m losing it lol

I got my odin 3 in january and as my first device of its kind id like it to be the last (obviously due to cost). I was wondering, are parts for this thing easy to replace? Battery/ buttons/ etc. is it possible to keep this thing running for a really really long time?

Hello everyone!
I got the Odin 2 portal a month ago and I am very happy with it. But I can't connect it to my monitor or TV. For the monitor i have a USB-c to Display port cable that works with my phone and laptop, but not the Odin 2. My TV has a type-c port as an input and I tried to use the cable that comes with the device, but it didn't work with anything. So I have two questions.
How to fix the connection with my monitor?
What cable should I look for to make it possible to connect my Odin 2 to my TV?

I recently got an Odin 2 Portal, and I already love it! Retro console emulation is flawless, and GameCube, 3DS, and PS2 (up to 4x–5x resolution) all run amazingly well.
However, when I started testing some more demanding Switch games like Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, I'm getting a pretty solid 28–30 FPS with Eden. The only thing that worries me is how warm the console gets, especially on the left side around the left analog stick and even the screen itself.
When I check the temperatures while exploring the open world, they're usually around 60–70°C, which seems to be within a normal range, but I can't help being a little concerned. I have the fan set to Smart, so it ramps up quite a bit (to the point where it's impossible to play in bed while my wife is sleeping 😄).
So my first question is: is there any real risk to the console if I play for extended sessions under these conditions?
Secondly, do you have any recommendations for general Eden settings that could help reduce heat output? I don't mind sacrificing a bit of performance if it means keeping the temperatures lower. I'm looking for general advice—I know some games require game-specific tweaks.
For reference:
Thanks in advance for any advice!
