Well, what stage would that be? Having all the decks designed, along with all the hatches, cowl vents, lifeboat davits, masts, funnels, and watertight compartments.

With this, even without having the public areas fully defined yet, it's possible to have a basically complete view of the ship's overall silhouette, and thus better judge how it is and if any changes should be made before moving on to the next stage, which would be to create the public areas and cabins.

I know, I know, it's my ship and the choices should come from me, but I don't have anyone to talk to about ocean liners besides here, and only here would I have people to discuss changes and ideas for this ship with. So, please, what did you think of the ship's design and what do you think could be modified to improve certain things? Like perhaps giving more space to public areas for passengers, a better design for the cowl vents, etc.

Hi everyone! I’m here to show off a bit of my project: the plans for the SS *Tenochtitlan*. They cover everything from the Boat Deck down to the middle of F Deck, with a few tweaks I plan to make along the way. What do you think? My inspirations include the *Lusitania*, the *France*, and the *Titanic* itself; the ship falls somewhere between them in size—just 15 meters longer than the *Lucy*.

With this phase almost complete, the next part will be the fun part of thinking about and designing the ship's rooms, but I've come up with some doubts about the project at the moment, mainly due to conflicting ideas.

Well, firstly, what did you think of the very low superstructure I put on the ship? I tried to create something inspired not only by the Lusitania and Mauretania, but also by the Kaiser class; interestingly, the main public rooms will be on deck B, with deck A only having the ceiling elevations of the public rooms and the top of the main staircase, so that deck A, which is also the boat deck, is quite spacious and without many walls.

However, does this minimal superstructure really seem like a good idea? Or should I have given my ship more superstructure? Mainly because of the following detail: davits and ducts (is that what the ventilation structures on top of the ship's decks are called? Does this structure have another name?)

Given how my ship is shaping up and my taste in ocean liners, this ship will probably have many very visible ducts, because although it "pollutes the deck" for passengers, I find it charming on the ship, but perhaps this conflicts with the davits I want to use, because from the beginning I wanted my ship to have the giant davits of the Britannic.

However, will this be possible with several ducts on this ship? Would I have to regulate the ducts or use other models to guarantee this, such as ducts like those of the Lusitania? Or perhaps I should only use Welin davits or the old radial davits?

An extra: there is a cargo room on the stern and one deck above the turbogenerators that I don't know what cargo to use it for. I thought about it being mail, but I think it's too small for that, so maybe it could be baggage, what do you think? Baggage or mail?

Hello. I'm back, well... sort of. I'm still dealing with school, but the thing is, I have that irresistible urge to draw ships whenever I can, and with every day being a possible opportunity, I decided that this could be the best time to announce something I'll do once I find time. Take this post as a form of a "teaser", if you will. The following new projects I'm stoked to do once I return will be posted at unknown dates, maybe sometime after this weekend is when I can start. Hopefully I can focus on my studies while also showcasing to you guys.

With that out of the way, as my previous posts have hinted, I may have teased the idea for the next ship's design, as early as it can be traced back to RMS Archaic. Things will be a bit different once she gets her own story. More aside, there will be 2 new ships joining the verse! Such events that will mirror what did happen in maritime history, the return of phases and era designs, branching lores, and I'm drawing another one in response to its popularity!

Last night I managed to draw the silhouettes of the decks up to deck B, and in the previous days I also drew more of the side plan.

I know I erased the funnels I showed in the other drawing, but the ship will still have 4 funnels; those were just a WIP and I'll draw better ones later.

Well, what did you think of how the ship is currently being drawn?

Well, I was designing the funnel hatches in the ship's side drawing, and then this idea came to me.

In the previous drawing, the superstructure was very similar to that of the Olympic-class ships, but I had this idea to maybe leave the superstructure like this, and with that my ship would resemble the Kaiser class more.

It's another path I can follow, and if I do, maybe it will give the ship more speed due to the lighter weight.

If I go back to the Olympic-class superstructure, I'll probably have more space but more weight.

The RMS Titan is an ocean liner that I built for my friend to expand his fleet. I haven’t added lifeboats yet so it’s still unfinished but almost fully complete.

A fictional Panamanian-registered boutique ocean liner operated by Castle Cruise Lines (CCL). Built from high-strength EH47 shipbuilding steel, it features one of the most unconventional passenger ship designs ever conceived: a streamlined marine hull supporting a superstructure heavily inspired by a Boeing 747-8.

[Propulsion]:

The Castle Dawn employs a Combined Diesel-Electric and Gas (CODLAG) propulsion system consisting of: 1 × DR-77 marine gas turbine for high-speed operation.

2–4 diesel generators burning Marine Gas Oil (MGO).

Electric propulsion motors driving four propeller shafts during normal cruising.

A reduction gearbox and clutch allowing the gas turbine to be engaged for high-speed operation.

During routine voyages, the diesel generators supply electricity to the propulsion motors, providing efficient cruising and extended range.

When higher speeds are required, the DR-77 gas turbine is engaged through the reduction gearbox to provide additional mechanical power to the propeller shafts.

Assumptions

Estimated displacement: ~1,300 tonnes. Main engine, diesel generators, fuel tanks, and ballast are located as low as practical. The underwater hull is based on a geometrically scaled version of the RMS Lusitania's hull, with hydrostatic characteristics approximated from that hull form.

The superstructure is assumed to be primarily aluminum, while the double hull and keel are constructed from EH47 shipbuilding steel, reducing top weight and lowering the estimated center of gravity.

Integrated underwater torpedo bulges are assumed to contribute additional buoyancy and improve initial stability.

These are preliminary conceptual estimates based on the assumed hull form and weight distribution, and are NOT the results of a full naval architectural stability analysis. The values are intended as engineering estimates for a fictional concept rather than measured performance.
