I am sure I'm taking 4 years to transfer to a university. I've been battling depression and procrastination while taking care of my grandparents.

Have a G.E.D didn't went to HS. Started working different full time jobs after middle school. Back at school after completing the GED.

(Grandpa passed away last year 98. Now taking care of my 95 dementia grandma. Actually, my aunt is the main caregiver. But most tasks can't complete without an another persons help.)

Enrolled at summer 24' then dropped out for that summer and Fall.

Took only two classes in 2025 for each semester.

This Spring I took only two classes. This summer I am only taking ENGL C1001.

Engineering student, bout to also get an A.S degree here. Classes all planned. Transferring in 2028. Will be 25 years old feeling old af. Cooked. Wish me luck😭

help! Taking 5 classes while working full-time this fall: experiences with Lee, Merlo, or Ferguson?

I’m trying to plan realistically for Fall 2026 while working full-time. I’ll be taking ASTR A100/A100L with Kaoru Lee, HIST C1001 with John Merlo, and PSYC A280 with Melissa Ferguson, along with two other classes.

Has anyone taken these specific professors or courses? I’d especially appreciate any information about workload, attendance, labs, exams, and major assignments. If anyone has an old syllabus or notes they’re comfortable sharing, that would also be incredibly helpful. Thanks!

Low Cost Dental Cleaning

Seeking patients, preferably ages 30 and older (not required), who have not had a dental cleaning in 3+ years.
Hello! I'm a senior dental hygiene student in Garden Grove, currently in my final term before graduating this September, and I urgently need patients to fulfill my clinical requirements.
Cost: $20 one-time total, which includes:
Exam by a licensed dentist
• Full set of X-rays
• Oral cancer screening
• Dental cleaning
Because this is a teaching clinic, care is very detailed and requires multiple appointments, each about 2 hours long.
If you're overdue for a cleaning and don't mind longer visits, this is a great low-cost option, and you'd be helping a future dental professional graduate.
Feel free to comment or DM me if interested!

Schedule:
Mondays
7:30am
10:45am

Wednesdays
2pm
5:15pm

Discussion Looking for Orange Coast students who work out!

Hello! I am looking for students to try out an app I made—Fortis: Workout Log & Tracker (on iOS and Android). It's a completely free app for logging workouts, tracking progress, and sharing with your friends. Can also save reusable workout templates and custom exercises.

I've been solo-developing this as it’s a bit of a passion project, and it's still early on, but I'd love for people to give it a try and hopefully get some feedback. It's definitely strength-focused, but I am open to trying to help other goals be achieved as well!

If it sounds interesting, give it a try and let me know what you think. All feedback is welcome 😁

AP Chem credits

Hi I’m currently a high school student and want to do dual enrollment for organic chemistry in senior year. But then I compared the prerequisite for the course and the credits cover for passing the AP chem exam and find out that I have to take general chem A and B. Just want to ask is it possible to at least skip general chem A if I got a 5 on the AP chem exam? Also will the prerequisite challenge form works or it’s just useless?

OCC or Fullerton college

Hey, I was planning to go to OCC during the fall but now I’m not sure if I should. I heard OCC has a great transfer program that mainly why I want to go but there’s a few issues. I don’t have a car so taking the bus there is like an hour long. I heard OCC favors richer students and favors less when it comes to minorities that join the school (I’m broke and Hispanic). Plus I don’t really hear any news coming from OCC for upcoming freshmen.

Fullerton is closer to my home, it’s like a 30 min bus ride, it’s 10 minutes away from my job. The thing is I really don’t wanna see people from high school, and they are mostly arts focused so I don’t know if they have a good biology major program.

I already registered for my classes at occ for the fall but now I’m nervous and think maybe Fullerton is better since it’s nearby and they are very open when it comes to helping the new incoming students. I don’t know why but it’s rubs me the wrong way that I don’t hear anything coming from OCC
